Georgius Krauss Guest House

Had a nice experience staying at this hotel. It is situated in a very beautiful location and the rooms are really nice and clean. The restaurant serves some really tasty food. What I appreciated the most was the friendliness of the staff. They were really helpful all the way and even got us to the hotel and back since you have to leave your car at the base of citadel.

This is a wonderful guest house. An old historic building with nice rooms and furnishings, but with a few minor quirks you might expect in a facility this old. Located in a quiet area at night in the middle of the old historic part of town. Beds were comfortable, but the best part of the entire facility is the employees. These guys were awesome! They all work at different points in the day as reception staff and waiters beginning early in the morning until late at night. They are always friendly, smiling, and eager to help no matter the situation. Thank you to the staff at Georgius Krauss for their courtesy and assistance during our stay!!

All around sensational hotel. Everything from the decor to the location to the bathtub makes this place a winner. We loved our stay at Georgius Krauss. First off the location in the old town is amazing. You simply can’t beat being able to walk to the attractions in the citadel city. The location is unique because it’s still home to many residents. The rooms are enchanting because of their unique decor. It really screams Transylvania. You are greeted by a portrait of Vlad Tepes in the main staircase, which is perfection The bed is nice enough but the bathroom is the real stand out. The room has a super relaxing bathtub perfect after a long day of exploring the heart of Transylvania and Romania.

Excellent option for Sighisoara, it introduces you to the history and atmosphere of medieval town. Large room, with beautiful furniture and a lot of lights. Well preserved original frescos are a bonus. Comfortable bed and very clean. Nice staff at the receptions.

Great location within the Sighisoara bastion. Great accommodation and clean bathroom. Food is very good, breakfast is excellent and staff is very kind. Solid 5/5 highly recommend.

It's a very old and storied building right in the heart of the old city citadel. The rooms are a bit funky, and all unique. They were reasonably furnished, and the air conditioning worked well. My bathroom had a tub with no shower or curtain, but a shower hose that worked ok, but required a little care not to drench the floor. The rooms were reasonably quiet given the age of the building. The restaurant does very good food, with many options. Breakfast is ordered off an extensive menu, rather than a buffet. The staff is friendly. I would certainly stay again.

This hotel is on amazing, peaceful, beautiful grounds. The facilities way exceeded our expectations. Everything is so tastefully furnished. You couldn't ask for a better view from the tables out front where you can enjoy service from their incredible restaurant. The included breakfast off the menu was delicious, but we also had lunch an dinner their. All meals were fantastic and visually appealing. The staff couldn't be more pleasant or helpful. For such an upscale hotel the beds were unfortunately uncomfortable and the room really didn't have adequate plugs or conveniently placed. The paid public parking outside the town was a little confusing as we do not speak Romanian but the staff was readily available to assist us! Would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay again.

Great hotel in a wonderful location. The owner and staff are caring and provide cheerful support to guests. The rooms were well equipped and quite nice, even the standard rooms offered, and it was nice to have the option of air conditioning as well.||We only had two minor issues which were the location of parking and somewhat spotty Wi-Fi while in the guest room, but it was a wonderful stay and I would definitely return again with pleasure.
