Disappointed. I bought a home from Geranium Homes at Midhurst Valley after hearing good things about them from residents at Friday Harbour. At first, I was very excited and chose Geranium over Brookfield and other builders which were much cheaper thinking that Geranium will deliver a top quality home with attention to detail. During our decor visits, Geranium pricing for some decor upgrades were 3x compared to that of Brookfield which was mind boggling and it did not make sense. I reached out to managers at Geranium and they said it’s the trades which are expensive. This was not true as other builders in the same location were charging much less for the exact upgrades. Anyways, then comes the PDI and there were tons of deficiencies, the home showed VERY POOR and looked like a 5 year old resale property. It broke our heart to see the quality of the work and this was October of 2023. We reached out to the customer service, site super and managers numerous times. Some issues were fixed months later to a average quality finish and the rest are still pending even today when it’s August 2024 and unfortunately the customer service just does not care enough to get the deficiencies resolved in a timely manner with superior quality. Highly disappointed and would not recommend Geranium to buyers looking to purchase a new home!

I am not sure those who put any positive stars are in the same planet as we are!! I bought a preconstruction home 3 years ago which was supposed to be finished in 18 months. the project was delayed by 18 months which led to a massive change in interest rates which put us under immense financial strain! When we asked them to give us only 2 months more time so we can close our house they declined it!! Bear in mind they delayed their own part for 18 bloody months. The quality of houses for the money they charged as the time are truely poor, kitchen units are dysfunctional and cheep looking! Doors are mostly warped and won't open or close smoothly. Kitchen tiles are already broken and grouts are detached. They expect an upgrade for EVERY thing that they show you in their model homes and if you assume you get anything close to the model homes then you are only dreaming. To make the matters worse, they have now turned our back yard into a wast yard and are disposing of any soil in the neighbouring areas in our backyard. WE HAVE STARTED A LEGAL CASE OVER THIS VERY ISSUE. Avoid them at all cost , as the last thing you need is to take someone to the court for the most obvious rights. Update: Now we have issues with the poor quality grass they have put and their less than useless customer service clearly shy away from responsibility. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY OR YOU END UP SPENDING Thousands on legal cost for their incompetence.

Gauging on upgrades after the fact. Be sure to factor this in when you make a decision on your builder. They charge ridiculous amounts for everything and you don’t even get to see the list ahead of time for the next upgrades. Process is terrible and they don’t care at all. Here to make a quick buck; not at all the luxury builder they claim to be

Bought in Stouffville a few years ago. Overall happy with the house, however I will echo some of the reviews who mention lack of finishing (like, uninsulated fireplace...). Biggest problem we have is with our MDF kitchen cabinets. They were showing unusual amount of wear less than six months after we moved in. We flagged this to both Geranium and Paris Kitchen (cabinet manufacturer). Neither of them has shown any interest in fixing this obviously defective product. They claim it is normal wear and tear. Maybe if we were in the house for 10-12 years, but 6 months? Very disappointed with the “it is what it is” response from Geranium. While we didn’t pick Paris Kitchen as a supplier, we did pick Geranium Homes and we were really hoping that their professionalism and pride in their workmanship would prevail. Disappointing to see that they don’t care about their customers once the sale is made... Edit after Geranium’s response: Thank you for clearly demonstrating your lack of interest in customer satisfaction. Recommending me to contact the warranty provider, who will come back and say « normal wear and tear are not covered by warranty » (with no definition of what is considered normal vs. excessive, and in what timeframe ), is precisely what I referred to in my review where I noted Geranium doesn’t stand by their chosen suppliers’ sub-par products. I have had two different cabinet manufacturers look at these and they both confirmed this is a defective product. YOUR supplier's instructions when he visited (with your representative present) was ''grab the door handles with the tip of your fingers and avoid touching the paint at all not to wear the cabinet doors''. You know very well this is not normal, you just choose not to address the issue...

We purchased a home in Canterbury Commons in Port Perry. We are very pleased with the quality and construction of our new home. We have not had any major issues in the six months we have been resident here. Any small issues have been dealt with swiftly and satisfactory. I highly recommend a Geranium home!!

Google
Terrible company. In the business of damaging environment more than anything else. They are having constructions in Aurora Ontario and you wouldn't believe what these guys do. Calling for all level of governments to get involved and stopped this non-sense. Worst construction company perhaps in North America. Stay away from them. In addition, no need to comment on the poor quality of their work. Terrible, terrible terrible.

We've been very happy with our condo townhome at Vista Flats & Towns in Stouffville. After 4 years, our original tenants have purchased their first home and moved. They loved living here!!

Yelp
Terrible construction company. You can read the other clients' reviews all over internet and those are self explanatory. The customer service with this company is non-existent. Calling for help from all levels o government to stop this company

Yelp
It has been over a year since buying a home from Geranium Homes. Issues with the builders for deficiencies remain outstanding and the leadership there has clearly disappeared since Earl Rumm left the organization. Promises were never fulfilled. My sole recommendation for any future buyer from Geranium Homes is to not believe any of their promises.
