Bought in Stouffville a few years ago. Overall happy with the house, however I will echo some of the reviews who mention lack of finishing (like, uninsulated fireplace...).
Biggest problem we have is with our MDF kitchen cabinets. They were showing unusual amount of wear less than six months after we moved in. We flagged this to both Geranium and Paris Kitchen (cabinet manufacturer). Neither of them has shown any interest in fixing this obviously defective product. They claim it is normal wear and tear. Maybe if we were in the house for 10-12 years, but 6 months?
Very disappointed with the “it is what it is” response from Geranium. While we didn’t pick Paris Kitchen as a supplier, we did pick Geranium Homes and we were really hoping that their professionalism and pride in their workmanship would prevail. Disappointing to see that they don’t care about their customers once the sale is made...
Edit after Geranium’s response: Thank you for clearly demonstrating your lack of interest in customer satisfaction. Recommending me to contact the warranty provider, who will come back and say « normal wear and tear are not covered by warranty » (with no definition of what is considered normal vs. excessive, and in what timeframe ), is precisely what I referred to in my review where I noted Geranium doesn’t stand by their chosen suppliers’ sub-par products. I have had two different cabinet manufacturers look at these and they both confirmed this is a defective product. YOUR supplier's instructions when he visited (with your representative present) was ''grab the door handles with the tip of your fingers and avoid touching the paint at all not to wear the cabinet doors''. You know very well this is not normal, you just choose not to address the issue...
