Friendly staff, excellent food. Pasta is house made and the server offered different kinds of cheese to shave on it. Best meal I’ve had in Switzerland, highly recommend to anyone visiting schaffhausen.

We only went in to enjoy a romantic dessert after the concert. The Cassata Siciliana was an unforgettable experience! The combination of Lemon and Mango Sorbet was a resounding success. Our two Cappuccinos were of the highest quality. The atmosphere on the ground floor is truly special, featuring a Glockenspiel that chimes the hour, yet it's even more impressive in the upstairs section. Be sure to check it out and see for yourself. To our international visitors: Yes, this is Switzerland, and thus it is expensive, but rest assured that everything you encounter here will be of the highest quality!

After our visit to Rhine Falls, we visited Schaffhausen and stumbled across this restaurant during lunch hour (PS there was no queue so perhaps no need to reserve). We had the tagliatelle with chanterelles mushroom, and it was sooooo good! There’s many different pastas to choose from. They serve coffee / wine etc as well. Waiters are really friendly and can converse in English. They have English menus as well! The vibes here was perfect. Highly recommend to sit outdooes during the summer!

The real Italian deal in Schaffhausen! Fantastic team and great food.

I recently had dinner with my wife here and I have to say that the food was just outstanding. I tried the veal liver dish and it was one of the best I have ever had. My wife tried a fish dish that was also outstanding. Food flavors & presentation presentation at the level of any famous restaurant and the ambiance is relaxing. The restaurant clientele tend to be more formal (at least inside) giving the place a formal touch. They have a set of bells hanging from the ceiling that play every hr giving the place a nice touch and a topic for conversation. The service was good but it was not necessarily out of the world (typical Swiss restaurant although the restaurant is Italian). I had to call waiter all the time. They do not come by to check on you as often as they should. Many times the servers walked by me without establishing eye contact which prevented from ordering a replacement drink. If they improve on this they could be a 5-star restaurant. Other than that, you will not go wrong.

Waitstaff are rude. Never recieved order after waiting 15 minutes (even though others who arrived afterwards were served). Left without ordering. While we were in no way rude, aggressive, or pushy (we simply waited and then left), I suspect it was because we were Americans. We were very excited to eat here and the reviews are good. So our experience totally rebuked them.
