Gergely’s in Vienna offers one of the best atmospheres, especially the courtyard area – perfect for a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience. The staff was professional and friendly, contributing to a great overall vibe. We ordered the Porterhouse steak for two, and it was cooked exactly as we requested – medium and full of flavor. Before that, we enjoyed some delicious starters from the kitchen that really set the tone for the meal. Everything was top-notch. If you’re in Vienna and appreciate quality meat and good wine, this place is a must-visit!

Excellent quality, friendly, quick and fast service. The Uruguay angus stake was just 10/10 (medium rare) . Highly recommended place. I give 4 stares for the Atmosphere , because it was a bit noisy inside when its full of people and everybody is talking obviously, so for me it took a little bit from the charm. Bit still excellent place !

Nice place to seat and take a dinner I like that it's dark in there it makes everything cozier. Nice and helpful waiter , the food was delicious. Thestarter was very good even though I do not like tapas. Yummy and juicy meat especially with the dijon mustard and the sauce (forgot the namn of the sauce) as well as the fries also crispy and tasty.

This is one of the best steak places in Vienna for many many years. The consistency over the years is amazing. In contrast to El Gaucho and other known steak houses this place you never get dissappointed. The service is also always super friendly. We love coming in in casual wear and never get treated differently. Highly recommended! Bring some cash though quality requires $$$

This place is one of the hidden places in Vienna. Nice cozy garden and really nice staff. And I love that district. The food was delicious but the food design could be better. Prices for meals are reasonable but Wine bottles prices are reallllly high.

Yelp
The Schlossquadrat is a 300-year old complex of interlinking buildings and super charming courtyards. It's one of my favorite places on the planet and it is only a minute's walk from where I live. How lucky is that? All the eateries here are def worth visiting and each has its own personality and cuisine. A couple of evenings ago I ate in Gergely's which was an awesome experience. This Austrian steakhouse in a centuries old edifice is one of the best steak houses anywhere. I always order either an Austrian or a Uruguayan steak because I know the high quality of both. That evening I chose an Austrian ribeye steak which was juicy and tender ... and perfect. A pink & black peppercorn cream sauce accompanied it. The side crock of gratinée potatoes and melanzani slices was addictively tasty. The meal began with an amuse bouche size Wild-terrine with Preiselbeeren (Preisel berries) followed by a fine assortment of breads and rolls. I especially liked the Kren (horseradish cream) spread for the breads. For my beverage I chose the full-flavored local Margaretner beer vom Fass. Service by two young waiters was completely friendly and impeccable. The ambience is stylish with an old -world charm. Gergely's in Wien (Vienna) is easily a five-star eating experience! Tip - Don't forget in warmer weather, Gergely's has a super Gastgarten in one of the charming courtyards of the Schlossquadrat for your eating and drinking pleasure!

Yelp
What a stunning location in the 5th. Located in a converted "inhof" this restaurant fuses french street cafe culture with Viennese style and great wholesome cooking. The menu is varied and extensive offering many varieties of dishes. We had a selection of dips to share and it was delicious. Will return soon to review properly as we only stopped by to meet some friends for a drink but for now its five stars.

Yelp
Among the nice restaurants of the Schloss Quadrat, this is the chic one - but in a good way! Sure, it is quite expensive, but be assured that you'll spend a very nice evening in a beautiful sitting, with efficient and friendly waiters and some delicious, delicate and researched food combination! From the starter to the dessert, we were breath-taken by the quality of a cuisine full of flavors and the beauty of the presentation! The only minus-point: you have to go through the smoking area to reach the non-smoking one, and back if you need to go to the bathroom... Plus, if you leave your coat to the waiters at the entrance, it will be hanged in the smoking area so that you'll get a smelly coat back... the bad and stinky surprise of the evening!

Yelp
Very nice experience sitting in the interior courtyard on a Summer evening. Service was very welcoming and well done. The filet of beef served "French" style was cooked perfectly and the flavor was astounding, the jumbo shrimp with salad as a appetizer were a treat as well. If you are in the mood for a great steak Gergelys is the place to go to in Vienna.

Yelp
I left the place with mixed feelings. The big plus is the setting and ambience which is just nice, noisy enough but never loud - all in all very pleasant. So, for hanging out be it with your friend or your friends - it's a great place. Things on the questionable side though are for one the service/waiters: over attentive to border on the intrusive. We had 2 so it seems assigned, with one of them quite unfriendly and snarly - our guest asked for a specific of a certain dish and the answer was to RTFM 'just look for yourself in the menu.!!! This is not really a cheap place why any means, not that that would be an excuse for a behavior like that. And also tose too then constantly doubled up in asking 'if there's anything else we'd like to order. So, just ignore the waitstaff. The other thing is the quality of the food that doesn't really correspond to what you're paying for it. It's all ok and fine but that's not enough. This place calls itself a 'steak house' - now, I had better! A 'medium' steak should be medium and not half raw! The meat quality was again: OK, but that's. There is better in town for sure. The day before I had a steak at the Pizzeria (!) Il Mare in 1070 Zieglergasse and that was worlds apart. So, the garden setting is beautiful and that's what you pay for - the rest is 'ok' for better or worse.

Yelp
I was at Gergely's for dinner with friends. The food was exquisite, plentiful and very tasty. Service was also very competent and helpful. Pleasant, smooth jazz music was playing in the background, combined with the dimmed lights it created the perfect atmosphere. The prices are also fair, good value for money
