Wow, it was such a memorable experience coming here! The drive to get here is absolutely gorgeous and it is an adventure. The church itself is beautiful and is well preserved and the view is spectacular and stunning! There are also kind dogs here too which love to take photos with you for some snacks. The air quality here is incredibly fresh too. I will have memories of this place for the rest of my life. This is a must see in Georgia

The view is breathtaking from every angle — the mountains, the valley below, and the feeling of being surrounded by nature make the whole experience unforgettable. Reaching the church is an adventure in itself. Whether you go by a 4x4 jeep or decide to hike up, the journey adds to the charm. Once on top, the air feels fresher, the atmosphere calmer, and the silence of the mountains gives a deeply peaceful vibe. The church itself is small and simple, but that simplicity is what makes it so special. You can feel the history in its stone walls, and watching visitors light candles inside is a very touching moment. The area around the church offers plenty of photography spots, and every few steps gives a completely new and stunning perspective. Gergeti Trinity Church is easily one of the most memorable places to visit in Georgia. Sitting high above Stepantsminda with Mount Kazbek rising dramatically behind it, the views are simply breathtaking. Whether you hike up the trail or take a 4x4 vehicle, the journey itself feels like part of the experience. The hike is steep in parts, but the scenery along the way makes it completely worth it. The church dates back to the 14th century and has a quiet, spiritual atmosphere. Even with visitors around, it still feels calm and authentic. The stone architecture paired with the wide-open mountain landscape creates a truly iconic sight—one that looks amazing in every season. Perfect for photography, relaxing, or just enjoying the fresh mountain air. Weather can change fast, so it’s good to bring something warm. Early mornings and late afternoons offer the best lighting, and if you're lucky, you’ll see the peak of Kazbek emerge from the clouds. A must-see landmark in Kazbegi and one of the most beautiful viewpoints in the entire country!

I visited the Monastery of the Holy Trinity in Kazbegi, Georgia in October 2025 during autumn with my family. We started our journey from Gudauri and covered a few local viewpoints along the way. The road trip was incredibly scenic—mountains painted in shades of lemon yellow, brown, red, and green from the autumn leaves. The higher peaks, which are usually snow-covered, looked almost bare with no trees or grass. The monastery sits at an altitude of around 2,500 meters, and the road leading up from Kazbegi is extremely steep and curvy—only experienced drivers should attempt it. After parking, you need to do a short trek to reach the monastery, and the winds at the top are very strong. Once you reach the summit, the view around feels like something straight out of a wallpaper or desktop background. One piece of advice: please wear proper ethnic or modest clothing to respect the local culture. After that, we visited the last monastery near the Georgia–Russia border, which is also beautiful and located right next to the highway. Finally, we returned to Gudauri and took a jeep up the mountains to see and touch the remaining patches of snow at the summit.

“A cultural gem with an amazing view.”✨ This is definitely a must see when visiting Kazbegi. We hiked up the mountain, which is easily doable. However, you can also reach the location by car. The most stunning thing about the location is the view. You are high up the mountain and can see the entire valley on various sides. The church itself is also very pretty from the inside.

We've been to Kazbegi and Stepenzminda twice but luckily could visit this Famous and Ancient Orthodox Churh this summer. The View is indeed stunning and you cant miss here. Able to light up few candles and its a really good experience. You can reach via vehicle or by local guides vehicles. ⛪️🏔⛰️

What a magical place! The church is located on top of a mountain which has panoramic views. You can only reach there with a 4x4. It is a must visit if you are in Kazbegi.
