The museum is quite small so there's a traffic light system at the entrance in an attempt to keep it from overcrowding but, in my experience, it didn't work. Perhaps people just ignore it. I found it far too packed inside to see even a fraction of all the interesting exhibits, let alone stop to read the labels. A shame, because it's a really well curated museum and fascinating subject.

I found this museum very interesting as it traces the history of medicine through the ages. It's a small and well organized museum. There is verbiage that guides you though the history.
It's housed inside the Heidelberg castle.
The crowd management is good

This is museum, that you can find in the Heidelberg castle. It has a couple big rooms, where you can find a lot of shelves with apothecary glass. It interesting. But it is a pity that you can’t buy some glass like in museum. Only one bottle there was.

Within Heidelberg Castle is this museum, which in great detail tells the history of medicines through the ages.
Many visits would be required to take it all in.
The sheer number of exhibits, set out as Apothecary shops is amazing

Fascinating
This is a little jewel of a museum in the grounds of the Schloss Heidelberg (included in the Schloss entry fee). The displays were beautiful, and there was a lot of fascinating historical information (in both English and German) about the evolution of apothecaries and development of the pharmaceutical industry.

I think this Apothecary Museum is good place to look around because it displays old days interiors of historic apothecaries. Furthermore admission fee is included in the castle ticket so that it is better and easier, no reason not to see this.
With jars, herbs, powders its antique atmosphere was good and it was also a little fun to find things or medicines that I know of. It’s good enough, but may be a better place when visiting with kids.

One of the world's most famous pharmacy museums, located within Heidelberg Castle. In this museum, you can see various types of stone mortars, old precision scales, and a wide range of old drugs and pharmaceutical equipment.
To visit this museum, the castle entrance ticket is sufficient, and no additional ticket is required.
