Postcard Cabins Eastern Catskills

I stayed here around 3 days and everything was great. The room was clean, there were no bugs or any issues. The room included everything important, except hair dryer, which is fine. I think the most important thing is cleanliness for me and this place has the right for 5 star. Also, their customer service was helpful, even it took a while.

This was the perfect birthday getaway—so relaxing with absolutely breathtaking views! Did I mention how peaceful it is? If you’re a nature lover, you’ll love it. Plus, the room was beautifully decorated for my birthday, which is an option when booking!

Stayed at the Beatrice cabin with my wife from 2/4/25 - 2/6/25, which was pretty great. The 1 star comes due to the awful customer service. I left my coat behind. I filed a lost item complaint. My item was thankfully found. I paid $49.75 on 2/11/25 for 2 day shipping via fed ex. Today is 2/20/25 and my item has yet to be shipped. I made a request on the website and received a text back by a person that didn’t read my request because they asked me to file a lost item report. If they had read my request, they would have seen my lost item report ID, and that I mentioned the item was found and supposed to be shipped. After a lot of back and forth that led no where I asked to speak to a supervisor which led to the end of the text messages. All I want is my item back and postcard cabins has no one that can give me a call back.

This is our 2nd time staying with postcard(first was in New Hampshire). Everything was great except the bed was super hard so we didn’t get great sleep. In addition, we bought 150$ worth of groceries at Hannafords down the road so we can cook breakfast, lunch, etc but the electric stoves did not work well. It took us 45 minutes to make some scrambled eggs because the stove doesn’t get hot enough to cook efficiently.

The whole entire cabin smelled of wet dog the bed the pillows everything it was disgusting. My boyfriend's allergies were out of control. There was pet hair on the bed as well as on the floor. We kept having to spray the bed down to coat the disgusting smell. The bathroom walls also seemed like they weren't wiped down. There were hand prints all over the metal wall. The picture moment window was great but I think certain cabins should be set aside for potential clients that have allergies. Would I have known the cabins were going to smell like a kettle I would've requested a deep cleaning. Was so thrilled but the whole time I was so concerned for my boyfriend during the night. The bed was extremely hard which was very unfortunate and the pillows were far too soft. The quilt on top of the bed isn't big enough for two people. Was very excited for this experience. Big let down. For the amount of money these cabins cost you would think cleaning them would be too priority. We barely stayed at the cabin because of how bad my boyfriend’s allergies were acting up. The bathroom also you would shower and all the water would spill out everywhere because there’s no divider to prevent it from spilling everywhere. This was a birthday celebration and it was far from that.

This site specifically, has always provided a great trip. It's within driving distance to a lot of great places to visit and the campgrounds are usually very clean. The cabins will sometimes have 1 or two quirks like a broken heater but in that case, the staff provided a mobile heater before we even arrived which was nice. Nothing has been detrimental to our trips. My main concern is the direction of Postcard Cabins (formerly Getaway Cabins) as a whole - my wife and I have been going ever since they opened and it used to be pretty affordable with things included (smores kit, coffee and tea, etc.) now, the prices are unreasonably high, even with the flexible packages you can purchase. Of course, every single item is an upcharge now which is unfortunate. I fear the business model from the beginning was to get people used to affordable "getaways" and slowly raise the price and charge for everything. Unfortunately, this has caused my wife and I to seriously reconsider where we go for our long weekends and are actively looking for alternatives. I do not think their re-branding is as successful as they thought it would be since they have been extending their 40% off sale ever since the switch happened. I hope they decide to revert back to some of their old pricing practices.

Stayed at this gorgeous location for three days two nights with late checkout in August 2024. The drive from NYC to this part of Catskills only took about three hours total and the drive was honestly amazing. Very easy to navigate and you won’t get lost. Just be careful of driving the narrow rocky roads leading to your cabins. Crisp air all around and the weather was perfect. Even on the first day at the campsite, where it rained a lot, it was still very cozy. The cabin my partner and I stayed in was quite spacious despite it looking small from the outside. Great use of space and doesn’t make us feel claustrophobic at all! Next to the bed, there’s a nice kitchen set with an electronic stove top, a countertop, and a mini fridge. There’s even a half bathroom with a standing shower. We went to many of the listed places (on a local guide paper in the cabin) that were recommended to us and just explored the area. If you didn’t bring groceries or anything, there is a local supermarket nearby. But, if you brought food, I would suggest bringing hot cocoa and Mac & Cheese; perfect for your stay! Highly recommend to those looking to simply “Getaway.” If I could, I’d rate more than 5 stars! Can’t wait to go back in the near future!!

Very nice place. Very quiet as well. Scenery is amazing. Beautiful and cabins are reasonably spaced out between each other. Love this place when coming upstate for vacation. You'll love it here. They got a radio playing great songs
