GGC Kusatsu-onsen

Definitely worth the walk away from the main area of Kusatsu Onsen Town! Their signature hamburg was amazing and added on their homemade creme brûlée which tasted great too. Easy to order via Line with English menu and payment machine had different languages as well. The wait staffs were all very attentive and professional. It also located right infront of the Kusatsu gate which is a nice photo spot! Highly recommend!

The meat was tender and juicy. It was delicious. A satisfying meal after strolling around the main attraction area.

This place was fantastic! The atmosphere is cute, light and airy and bright, with fun music playing in the background. The service was friendly. I don’t speak more than a few words of Japanese and the server was very warm and patient as we tried to communicate with each other. She pulled out an English menu for me and took care to explain the different options to me. (All the menus have pictures, so it wouldn’t have been the worst if there wasn’t an English menu.) I got the Joshu beef fillet steak with garlic sauce and the B set, which included a fresh, crisp, tasty green salad and a lovely light corn soup, and a big bowl of rice. They allow you to choose the size of your portion of meat (which, in my opinion is genius)! It’s in grams and I’m used to ounces, so I googled for conversions and went with the 150g portion. It was just right for me (maybe a little more than I technically needed to eat). The beef was suuuuuper melt in your mouth tender. It had big delicious chips of garlic on top and the gave me a little pot of garlic sauce to splash all over it. It was delicious!!! I am thinking of ditching my hotel’s kaiseki dinner and coming back here again tonight. It was definitely better than what I was served at my fancy onsen hotel. (& which cost me more than double the cost of a meal here - maybe triple? I wish I hadn’t gotten the meal package there, but that’s a different review.) This is simple, delicious fare that I would highly recommend.

The Joshu beef fillet is absolutely phenomenal, worth every penny. This is one of the best steaks I've ever had. The garlic sauce compliments it perfectly.

This was probably one of the best steaks I've ever had. Everything just completely melted in your mouth. The service was really fast too! It seems like it's a one man shop, but he was completely on top of everything. I was completely blown away by Everything.

One of the best steaks we ever had!! Easy to order in English, host was very helpful, it was a great place to eat after visiting the onsens. Highly recommend!!

Amazingly soft fillet steak for great value! Definite recommendation, even for picky meat eaters like me 😉

初訪問。 1280円ハンバーグランチとサラダ180円注文。 ドレッシングが美味しいとのことで一度食べてみたかった！ ３種類のドレッシング、どれも美味しいですが 個人的にはサワーオニオン？美味しかったなあ。 コーンスープも美味しい😋 待望のハンバーグも柔らかくオニオンソースも 美味しかった！ 大満足のランチでした^_^ ご馳走さまでした！
