I like to suggest that Ghim Moh food n hawker centre is a good or better places to go during breakfast n lunch Has a nice variety of delicious hawker food congregated under one roof Ample paid parking lots. Next block has Aircond shop to buy fresh fruits n vegetables till 10 pm at night. Can find stalls selling yummy food: 1.Whampoa soya bean drinks 2.Delisnacks- good Yu tiao, butterfly bun, curry puff etc( hve good oil to fry) 3.Tong Fong Fatt Hainanese boneless chicken rice( chicken is smooth, young n tender with good soup) 4.Chuan Kee duck rice 5.Thye Hong Handmade fishball noodles 6..Ghim Moh carrot cake 7.Jiu Jiang Shao la roast meats 8.Teck Hin Chee Cheong fan( fantastic taste) 9.Hock Soon carrot cake 10.Ghim Moh Chwee kueh 11.Margaret Drive Hokkien fried prawn mee 12. Hin fried hor fun LATEST as of SUNDAY FIRST MARCH 2026 If you like curry puffs, there’s a new stall at Ghim Moh Market & Hawker Centre, located next to the famous homemade fishball noodle stall( Thye hong). They sell the flaky type of curry puffs with a variety of fillings such as sardine, yam and curry chicken with potato. I tried the chicken curry potato version yesterday morning. The skin was crispy and nicely flaky, and not overly oily — that’s a plus. However, the curry chicken filling was only average and did not really stand out. It lacked fragrance and depth of flavour. Overall, I would rate it as average for now. ⭐⭐⭐ (3/5)

Amazingly fresh vegetables & all proteins, best organic chicken, fish and seafood. Was great to see they almost all speak English - incredible value! A must see for expats wanting to cook with fresh ingredients and hawker has some stunning classics & Michelin star

The food center has pretty good food. Eg: Chee Cheong Fun, braised duck, fried carrot cake, whampoa bean curd, the roast meat stall etc…

Hor fan stall got quite a queue. Tastewise got a bit of Wok Hey. Fried Carrot Cake the Dark Sweet Sauce taste better!

Every hawker centre in Singapore has their hidden gem food stalls, usually known to some but unknown to many. This one however, has May stalls that are well known, and they happen to be some of my favourite dishes. Such as the braised duck rice stall. This most recent visit I found A Prawn Story…. A prawn noodle stall manned by young hawkers. I thoroughly enjoyed their noodles!

Longest queue CCF you will ever see, good Chwee behind and some good stalls in general. Not the best for dinner with limited options but will be good in the mornings and a cool afternoon.

Came here last week, and found that the Fish Soup stall was permanently closed. Business was bad, with few customers during lunch hour on a Saturday. Ordered noodles instead, but food quality was lousy. Very disappointing experience.

Plenty of great food options but forget it if you're having a late lunch. This is the number of closed or closing stalls when I arrived at 12.30pm. I particularly liked the porridge (when open) and roasted meat stalls.

As of September 2018, with the recent visit, this Market is known as Ghim Moh Road Market and Food Centre. It is located at 20 Ghim Moh Road, Singapore 270020. I went here with my fellow Singaporean friend, since the Appam vendor is located at this market. Among other things, I also want to check out another Indian food vendor or stall.. On that faithful Thursday, the Appam vendor known as Heavens is opened. Unfortunately, the other Indian Food vendor known as Mohamed Faisal Seeni Eating House is closed. **SIGH** I will return on another day other than Thursday in order to try what Mohamed Faisal Seeni Eating House has to offer. Coz they offer things like Prata or Biryani in which I do not mind ordering too. For the Muslim patrons, at most there are 5 Muslims vendors which offer Malay or Indian cuisine, at this Ghim Moh Road Market and Food Centre. Its kind of limited, but I know this Market and Food Centre is NOT known with the Muslim crowd as compared to Geylang Serai or Ayer Rajah Food Centre. Yes like any other markets, usually its very busy. Mostly the locals or those who are working near the vicinity in the mornings and during the Lunch PEAK Hour. From my observations there are other "famous" food stall or vendors, at this market and food centre coz of the LONG QUEUE Lines. Unfortunately most are the Chinese Food Vendors. **DOUBLE SIGH** From Buona Vista MRT Station (EW21/CC22), it is about 10 to 15 minutes walk depending on each individual pace, hence plan accordingly.

It's been about 2 years since I last set foot to this place but I must admit I do miss it. I was looking forward to having some vermicelli noodles from Economical Bee Hoon (yum) but they were closed on sundays. Still I found their competitor and it was still pretty good for about US$2. I then had some homemade soya bean drink with almond essence and it was good for about US$1.80. Just can't beat it... Another morning another visit. Tried the char siew pau and loh mai kai from Keng Kee Dian Xing place. It was good but not impressive 20 years ago. The pau was nice but did not feel hand made. Will try more over the next few days.

Love the $2.50 laksa here, the long queue curry rice, the closed-early duck rice, the long queue but worthwhile beef hor fun, the stingy chai-pok chwee kweh, the freshly-fried chicken cutlet curry rice, the healthy wheat noodles bak chor mee, the atmosphere the heat and warm atmosphere of a market fast diminishing. Sunday mornings are at its most glorious but peak periods. If you live nearby, you should cherish this bliss.

Great place for excellent local food at a good price. Very new and very clean. Wet market has a large variety of fresh seafood, fruits and snacks as well.

Small local hawker's center. Highlights: - Most stalls open even at 10:30 on a weekday - Carrot cake: still like this rice soy combo, 4 stars - Almond tofu: hint of almond in this silly tofu did the trick. 5 stars Lowlights: - Duck and cha sui with rice: dry and not much flavor. 2 stars - Didn't have to rojak even though was on the booth sign - Not as much variety as the bigger ones I'd be happy eating at most any Hawker's center in Singapore so I was happy to fit another one in.

This place has great food. Period. Amongst the many stalls here, my favorites are the carrot cake, char kway teow, Hakka yong tau foo, kway chap. The prices are cheap compared to many other places. The only thing I would say is that it's packed! Getting a table on the weekends requires you to hunt down someone who looks like they are almost done, then stare them down so they feel uncomfortable and don't linger! The carrot cake is wonderfully fried with crispy egg and soft fluffy carrot cake. The white one is much more popular than the black at this stall. Hakka yong tau foo requires extreme patience. You need to pick your goodies then wait for them to cook your order. At times it can be almost 45mins! Char kway teow also takes some time. The uncle there cooks each plate to order, giving each some tlc. It's got crispy bits of lard, perfectly seasoned with wonderful wok hei. Go try some of the stalls for yourself before they shut down for renovations!

Ghim Moh market is shut down for renovations so they are relocated to a temporary market. I grew up eating the food at Ghim Moh market, so there is definitely a sense of nostalgia here. I love love love the ipoh hor fun, char kueh teow, yong tau foo, carrot cake, and economical bee hoon here! Apparently they have a branch of lao ban soy beancurd here as well. Definitely a food centre worth visiting for breakfast/ lunch!

Food market in Western Singapore - lots of food options and popular among locals. Some of the highlights are the hor fun (Singaporean rice noodle in savory sauce) - which has a strong burnt / wok smell, curry rice, and duck rice. In general, would suggest just checking out the stalls with long lines.

My absolute favourite place to go for Hainanese Chicken Rice. The Tong Fong Fatt Hainanese Boneless Chicken Rice stall does it to what I consider, perfection. Great Chicken Rice for a good price. Often times, I pair this meal with Teh Bing (Iced Tea with condensed milk + sugar) from any of the drink stalls in the market. Refreshing and delightful, I enjoy a good mix of sweet & salty between the Chicken Rice and the Teh Bing. Ghim Moh Market is generally a good place for local food and meeting up with friends, family or colleagues for a meal.

Strawberry soursop juice with less ice ($2.50) from Alexandra Village Avocado Juice - 5 stars! Not too sweet - the lady said they don't add sugar and the strawberry juice added was fresh. The strawberry soursop combination was fantastic! Egg cheese appam from Heavens ($3) - 3.5 stars Kind of average - the appam wasn't very fluffy or very crispy even though I ate it on the spot. Tom's City Zoom Da baoed the mee pok and the handmade fish noodles. I'm not big on pork and loved that this came with fishcakes and fishballs rather than pork. It was really good. I'll have to try it some time on the spot!

If you're wondering where the old people in the Holland Village Hawker Centre have disappeared to, you'll most likely find them smiling over Kopi O here. I've known about the existence of this place for years but never brought myself to go here - until my friend suggested heading here for lunch one day (he drove - can't say no to that!). I was vegetarian when I came here so I missed out on the Chwee Kueh, Chicken Rice, Yong Tau Foo... but the vegetarian noodles I had were absolutely delicious! Now that I'm back to meat... I'll be back...

Alexandra Village Hawker Centre is what you think of when it comes to local food and dining. Many stalls and vendors to choose from. You can get any of the local favorite and the prices are very reasonable for the quality and quantity you pay for.

Quiet quaint but dynamic food centre that will never lose its charms. While the hype of brunches continues around the island, there is nothing more comforting that a plate of cheew kueh (steamed rice cake) with sautéed radish or a plate of rojak or nasi lemak or noodles. The lines are often long enough to make you feel unadulteratedly silly but I assure you it is so worth it. The roasted pork rice is very famous and so is the chai dao kueh (fried radish with eggs). Dessert soups at the corner is nice but prepared to have more than just one. Laksa is also delicious but op for the dry mushroom noodles or porridge if you can. I find the market rather expensive but the food/ingredients are always fresh. Plus it helps to know they get from the suppliers from the wet market and cook the very day.

The temporary market may not feel as homey as the good ol' days, but the stalls that have chosen to remain still offer the best, cheap local eats among any market in the area. The lines and lunchtime crowds here are for good reason. My favorites -- kway teow, carrot cake, and soy beancurd. But above all, you can never go wrong with a piping hot plate of sliced fish hor fun or duck rice and a cold glass of sugar cane. For drivers, unfortunately, parking charges for the lot behind the temporary market are exorbitant compared to the one across the street.
