We stayed there about a month ago and thought it was great! It was cozy, comfortable, and very clean. There was a nice view of the valley and the breakfast snacks were tasty. We appreciated that they came with fresh fruit and kept us going until lunch. I would stay here again.

Wonderful gem to spend a night or two. Small room, but so very clean and well kept. We stayed in the Cleopatra room which was on the first floor. The bathroom had been upgraded with glass enclosed stall shower, sink, and was quite nice. The bedroom, although small, was sweet and warm. There are little touches by the owner that you can tell come from the heart and make you feel you are staying in someone's home. The lobby area has coffee and muffins for breakfast that are fresh and yummy. The view from the room and porch are magnificent! Short walk or drive to main part of town. Definitely will make a return trip.

Placed near all the restaraunts and etc in jerome, no huge walks, but its lower elevation so theres a good bit of uphill walking to get to most of the nearby businesses. The rooms are small, with little space, but they are well kept and clean. Of course its important to keep in mind that this building was originally a house and not a hotel so its actually pretty cool how they worked around the limitations of using the floor plan of a large house instead of that of a hotel. Each room is kind of differently themed and decorated, which is neat. The decor and everything here is super cool, the innkeeper, Richard, is a friendly and helpful guy. Meeting him was a pleasure, and he helped us out a lot with a problem with our reservation and promptly cleans rooms. There are some things about the place that are a bit inconvenient, such as there being only a single refridgerator and microwave in the entire building. Also, its probably out of their control, but this place could really use more than 2 designated parking spaces, since it has a total of 6 rooms people can stay in. Of course jerome was built before the existence of cars, so parking was not really something they considered during city planning. Anyways, I do have a couple of concerns. For one, a section of the floor of the upstairs balcony outside the verde view room i think it was called, has a soft spot near the door and a heavy enough person may trigger a collapse. Next, the stairs leading to the second level are outdoors, and during my stay there was snow and rain coupled with sustained cold temperatures. I saw a couple spots where grip tape had been applied, but its mostly worn off... i think those stairs could really use some salt treatment and grip tape to increase safety during ice conditions. also, those stairs leading from the lobby to the garden have a railing that is wobbly and seems prone to collapse, if someone slipped on the icy stairs and tried to catch themselves, i fear the railing would fail and the person would fall. Some of the boards in the upstairs outdoor walkway that connects the americana room to the garden are either loose or soft as well. Overall, i think this place is cool, but it seems like it needs a few repairs. This hotel is really quiet and is a nice place to relax, so its probably great for couples and solo travellers. If you have 3 or more people and want to stay here, i would personally suggest booking more than one room if possible. Overall, i think it is worth staying here, but you need to be sure that it is the right choice for you, and suits your desires for vacationing here. When the weather is clear, the view you can get from the windows and balcony on the road-facing side of the building is pretty good. Probably not the best view in all of jerome, but its nice and i enjoyed it. Staying here is certainly a unique experience, this place has a lot of character. Just be sure to watch your step entering any of the bathrooms, theres a tiny step as the bathrooms floor is slightly higher than the room's floor. Be prepared for a small, slightly inconvenient shower. This place is pretty cool, an the inconveniences that come with it are managable; but it could use some maintenance on the stairs, balcony, and walkways. Once again, thanks for your help, Richard! Meeting you was a pleasure.

This place was great! They had coffee and snacks in their lobby. We were upstairs, but this room was cute. We had an Americana themed room. The staff was nice and friendly too. Clean and comfortable room! It was right in the middle of Jerome, so it was the perfect location. They also had games to play in their lobby, so we played chess. How fun!

This is the most amazing place. Such history and such a unique place. The owners have taken great lengths to perserve the history and make it inviting. The ghost lore is quite fascinating as well, but don't let it scare you. It's part of the rich history of the town.

We spent the weekend at Ghost City Inn and experienced excellent customer service from prior to check-in until after we'd checked out. The accommodations were perfect. Antique furniture, lobby/dining area had a wonderful atmosphere, and sitting on the front porch watching the sunrise was great. The beds are comfortable and the breakfast bites were yummy. The rooms are small, but perfectly comfortable.

This was a wonderful place to stay. Jerome is a fascinating town and the fact that terrific building still stands after all that has befallen this mystic place is just great. My fiancé, her son and myself stayed in the Miners Suite in mid January 2025. It was so comfy and outfitted in turn of the century nostalgia. The breakfast in the common area was also very nice where we could drink coffee, play chess or just listen to old phonograph music of yore. There was also a great view of the canyon below the mountain that showcased the moon as it rose, while the sun set. I would never get tired of that view.

Google
Kudos for sticking to your guns. These folks offer no wiggle room on their no refund policy for an honest emergency and four days' notice from us. Their offered solution was for us to give the room to someone else. (Not sure who that was meant to be) A future credit could have been a nice option. But NOOOOO. Unfortunately, this heartless capitalism has soured us on Jerome in general. Bummer.

Yelp
Ingrid and the other staff were amazing! Wonderful ambience, decor was loved by my wife, great looking rooms and clean!! We highly recommend this spot for your next visit to Jerome!!

Yelp
I'm making this simply because the lady I spoke with was the sweetest ever! I had my husband make the reservation lol well he chose a different hotel and didn't tell me we both thought we were staying at two different places So when I called to let them know I was running a bit late she was so polite and said she would leave our keys in the mail box, then when we arrived I didn't see my name called and she looked for my info I got the confirmation from my husband and sure enough he did t book this one But she was so helpful and nice I really appreciate that so much especially after traveling for 2 days I would definitely stay here if I'm ever back in the area

Yelp
We enjoyed our stay. The room was clean with period decor to go along with incredible views of the valley and distant red-rock mountains. And don't miss out on the breakfast muffins!

Yelp
A charming and convenient and clean. Warm and welcoming and whimsical. I will stay here again. I was in the Verde View room. Thank you to Ingrid for switching me after Expedia got my reservation wrong. This place is worlds better than Jerome Grand Hotel.

Yelp
I only doc a star for minor things It's a great little place. We stayed in the Cleopatra Hill suite. When we arrived, we found our keys and instructions about the property, in mailbox by the front door. Upon entering our room, there was THE strongest smell of patchouli you will ever smell in your life. As someone who hates the smell of patchouli, it was all I could do to breathe in the room. (Owners if you are reading this, something less 1970's would be so much more inviting. The guests next to us complained as well since it was also in the lobby.) Anyways, super tiny room, to be expected because of the time it was built. The shower was SO tiny, and my husband is only 5'8" and he hit his head on the edge of the square glass showerhead. Not the greatest choice of accessory in such a low shower. The lobby was cute and it was nice being able to grab tea or coffee whenever we wanted. We spent a lot of time on the patio and everyone had difficulty with that lock, so it might be worth upgrading it. All in all, cute place to stay. Nothing super accommodating, but cute. We only experienced very minor run-ins with the "unexplained" and I was hoping to have more, but glad I wasn't scared out of my wits by whomever the woman spirit is in the Cleopatra Hill suite.

Yelp
LOVE staying here. I love the Western room which has a awesome super high bed with a stool to help shorter folks like myself up and into bed! The room is always super clean, and relaxing. Each room has a lovely balcony, and a great view of the Verde Valley. With covid they aren't currently doing breakfast or Ingrid's delicious cookies, le sigh, lol (she makes the best breakfast). They still have all access to a nice selection of self serve coffee, and tea in the drawing room. Not to mention all the cool antiques, and old photos on the wall. Spend some time checking that room out, it's like a mini museum. I love chai tea, and Ingrid was so sweet, and made sure they were stocked. She makes the stay all that more special every time! Cannot wait until our next stay. Tip: You can bring your pet, they have two rooms that are pet friendly just make sure to call and ask if they are available. One of the rooms is the Western Room.

Yelp
Two words. Stay here. It was a wonderful two nights we stayed, perfect view of the sunrise from the Verde View room, it was so pretty. I did witness rush hour, which was about 9 cars driving through town. The bed was comfortable, the pillows a little hard, but I know everyone can't be totally pleased. There was a balcony out to the west, and a few sitting areas in the back. It was wonderful to walk to the lobby, make a cup of coffee and return to the room to sit on the balcony to watch the sun come up. I will totally return here, and absolutely recommend to anyone who is listening!

Yelp
Visited recently & stayed overnight with another couple. Loved the themed rooms, balcony, sitting area, and breakfast in the morning. Cute place!

Yelp
Ill start with the good great location reserved parking the room was clean what I didn't like absent of anyone working there key left in mail box no interaction at all The air conditioner worked great but placed directly over the bed the air flows straight down on our face's The shower was very hard to turn on had to pull real hard the toilet was a problem the toilet paper would get stuck on the side of the bowl and not go down had to use the plunger to push it down into the water then flush A bed and breakfast should have breakfast with only a few rooms and plenty of room the tables were apart example individually raped muffins or the like would have been nice they did have a kurig coffee machine a shared refrigerator which i didn't see but what good is it without a microwave to heat up the leftovers I guess I'm used to a different standard where I stay

Yelp
My boyfriend and I had a very nice stay here. We stayed for two nights during Halloween. Since Halloween fell on a Wednesday this year there wasn't much going on that night in the town. Jerome had their annual Halloween party the Saturday before, we heard it's pretty popular so if you're interested, book your stay months in advance. When it comes to the inn, we stayed in the Americana Room. The room was decorated in American Flag everything! bedding, pictures, pillows, it was everywhere. The bed wasn't very comfortable and neither were the pillows so I would suggest you bring your own pillows if you're particular about that type of thing. The room had wifi and a TV. Right outside or door is a patio. The hospitality was warm and friendly. The inn offers complementary breakfast. In the guest book in our room there were multiple entries that raved about the french toast. I'm happy to report that they lived up to their reviews.

Yelp
Yelp loves Ghost City Inn. When I show up at a 5-star Yelp resort, I always expect to be underwhelmed since all the reviews are just too good to be true. Turns out Ghost City Inn was hyped correctly. We stayed in the Western room, which had awesome cowboy decorations and a longhorn skull protecting the bed from the nighttime ghosts. The view from our second floor balcony was superb; it's the perfect place to enjoy the crisp morning with a book and a cup of coffee, and it's also ideal for watching the giant rainstorms thunder across the valley without getting drenched yourself. The bed was comfortable, the breakfast filling and delicious (we got to experience the homemade deliciousness of Ingrid's strawberry-stuffed french toast and Nicole's Italian sausage quiche on two different mornings), and the price unbeatable, especially when you realize you're getting 5-star bed and breakfast treatment with themed rooms and one of the best views in the area. There's even free fruit and coffee downstairs at all hours of the day. Pro-tip: the breakfast table next to the window converts into a checkerboard once your dishes have been cleared. 100% will be back.

Yelp
The room was what I expected.... Old but nice. The problem was at night the room was so hot... like a sauna!!! The walls were so hot to touch at first I thought there was a fire some place on the property. There was NO thermostat to control the heat!!! It was impossible to sleep! We opened our door to the deck of our room... it was 46 degrees outside! and still did not cool down this room. We slept with the door open naked with no sheets to tolerate the heat of the room! The next morning other guests also experienced the same problem !!! Yvonne
google avatar

Yelp
That was unexpected family style cozy inn with amazing room design, nice management, good breakfast (strawberry stuffed French toasts were awesome!), and overwhelming landscape view. They have a good wifi connection, coffee, tea and some fruits were always available.

Yelp
We had a terrific stay at the Ghost City Inn. We stayed in the Cleopatra room. Cool view! The breakfast was delicious served right around 8am. Real close to all the shops. Didn't encounter any ghosts. Loved the skeleton decorations on the bench. The bed was probably the most comfortable bed we have slept on at a hotel. I could see why the ghosts wouldn't want to leave with that bed being as comfy as it was. Haha! Thank you Ingrid for your kindness.

Yelp
We decided to branch out and stay somewhere a little different than where we usually stay in Jerome. Since Ghost City Inn has 2 dog friendly rooms, we were excited to book the Miner's Suite. We had no problem paying a $50 pet fee. It was okay. It's February so it's cold, but the insulation in the room was lacking. You needed to keep the overhead heat running constantly as the door and windows have a constant draft, and the day room and bathroom don't stay warm. The heater is placed right over the bed so dry hot air is always blowing in your face. Insulation was also lacking in terms of sound. We would clearly hear every vehicle going by at night, and we were intimately clued in on every move our upstairs neighbors were making during the day or night. The room itself was clean, cute, and quaint. There is no breakfast served but they had small frittata cupcakes (just okay) from 9-10am every morning and Keurig available in the main room (also just okay.) No issue though as Jerome has great breakfast and coffee options. There is no cleaning service while you're there, which was fine for us; only cleaning between stays. We went for a hike with our dog and used a towel from the room to dry her off after bathing her in the shower so as to keep the room nice and clean. We were charged $28 for a replacement "bathmat" (which is just a white rough towel) and a replacement towel (also another rough towel) because they had brown dirt on them. Clearly by the texture of these towels, they're bleached every time they're washed (as they should be.) So I'd say be wary of using towels on yourself or for any other purpose other than to wipe clear clean water off yourself lest you'll be charged for new ones. Probably wouldn't stay here again but glad we tried something new.

Yelp
If you are headed to Jerome you need to stay at the Ghost City Inn. This place is so cute. The owner Ingrid is warm and welcoming. She personally cooks breakfast for all of the guests. This morning we had frittata with fresh fruit! The rooms are cleaner than the chain hotels and very cozy.

Yelp
I truly loved this place! The locale was prefect. As soon as you get up the winding hill, boom it's right in your face. The rooms have shared balcony space that offers exceptional views to Sedona and you can also see the top of snowbowl in Flagtaff. Ingrid, the innkeeper, was a great host. She was welcoming, friendly, and easy to talk with. She showed us to our room, which was perfect for the 3 of us. There was one queen bed, that was extremely comfortable, and a trundle bed in the next room. My brother said it was comfortable as well. He's 6'2 and said the bed fit him fine. Breakfast in the morning was yogurt and fresh fruit and Ingrid whipped up a made from scratch egg bake that consisted of sausage, broccoli and other goodies. We debated on staying till 830 for the breakfast because we were driving back to Bisbee that morning but we all agreed that we were glad we did. It was fantastic! I highly recommend Ghost City Inn and also the city of Jerome. It was a great time! the end.

Yelp
Made reservations paid half the other half was suppose to be paid at check in. Received email they took out the rest of the money without permission etc. Original deposit states in 2 places balance due at check in. Called them spoke to the owner ingrid. She was rude nasty unhelpful. Said they do this all the time and no one complained before. I said that is fraudulent and they had no authority or permission to take out the money. She said i will cancel your reservation and credit you back. She never apologized didnt try to do the right thing or make it right. She decided to cancel. Now i have a week to find a place. I do not recommend this place at all. They are sneaky they are misleading they are rude and caused us an inconvenience when they took out money they had no right to. Find someone else. The owner ingrid does not care

Yelp
We spent two nights in two different rooms, one upstairs looking out over the front of the house (Verde View), such a great view in the morning from the porch, very sunny & bright. The second night we stayed on the first floor (Cleopatra), an OK room but not as bright & sunny. The rooms are pretty nice & clean but small, things are a bit rustic but that is part of the charm. As mentioned in another review parking can be tough as the whole town is pretty much carved out of the side of a mountain. Breakfast both mornings was very good however you must be prompt as it is served @ 8:30. Overall I would highly recommend, Jerome is definitely worth a visit.

Yelp
The Town of Jerome is a beautiful weekend getaway! For our anniversary, my husband and I wanted to go somewhere we hadn't been before. Some friends had told us about this historic, haunted, hippie, mining town filled with eclectic galleries and shops so we decided to check it out. When we first drove into Jerome, we immediately regretted not having been before. What an awesome little town only two hours away from our front door! We chose the Ghost City Inn based on a few things; one of which was the reputation of surrounding hotels for being loud at night (due to hall wanderers trying to run into paranormal activity). Once I convinced myself the creaking outside my door was the neighboring guest going into their room, I slept like a baby at the Ghost City Inn. We enjoyed our room and outstanding view, another good reason to come here (we had the Verde View Room). Jackie, one of the owners, was there to greet us when we arrived. What a great lady and she knows about all there is to know about the town of Jerome. The next morning, she provided a delicious quiche and breakfast potatoes. The breakfast was delicious, the Inn was perfect.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I decided to spend our one year anniversary here, so glad that we did! We loved sitting on the front veranda drinking coffee or wine... The adorable patio in the back was almost enchanting! And the breakfast mmmmm the breakfast!!! It was delicious! Fruit galore, delicious spicy cheesy potatoes and en egg frittata :) Definitely a place to check out! Loved that Jackie picked on my boyfriend in the morning! She made us all laugh and feel so comfortable! Thank you!

Yelp
This review is definitely late but I had someone ask me where to stay in Jerome and it's not here. When we checked in we were led to our room by a "cleaning" guy. He said the room was ready he just needed to finish vacuuming. Fine. No problem. We went out to enjoy the view and the wines. Come back and ALL OF MY UNDERWEAR IS GONE!!! I told the owner the next morning and she basically told me it was my problem and I needed to file a police report. Never again!! It is YOUR problem that your staff steals person items and you should have done something about it. Now some weirdo is walking around Jerome with my underwear on his head. Also.. If you are allergic to anything they don't care. So neither of us even got to eat a decent breakfast. But it was our fault that she doesn't ask in advance. Only positive was the bed was ok. But stay somewhere else.

Yelp
Very cool stay! Ingrid (the German older lady that owns the place) was extremely nice and hospitable. The bed and breakfast sits up on a hill right in town. Fantastic views of Sedona and Flagstaff off in the distance. The room was clean and decorated like an old cabin. I'll try to add some pictures. We paid about 140.00 in April on the 19th, 2017. In the morning there is a breakfast that is served on 4-5 tables in the lobby. Everyone said it was fantastic, but we chose to eat elsewhere as part of our plans. Anyway, we loved the old creaky floors and atmosphere with the old music on the lobby. We will be back! Thank you Ingrid! Also Richard was super nice and pleasant too!

Yelp
This is a must stay during the Halloween month of October...Ghostly decorated with nicely appointed guest rooms. Can be just a little noisy since the inn is off the Main Street entering the city...but all quiets down in the evening., so that you can have a wonderful sleep in 500 count plus bed linens. Ingrid and Nicole were our innkeepers and did an outstanding job taking care of us.

Greg W.

Yelp
Stayed at the Ghost City Inn for a weekend getaway, and we couldn't have been happier with our accommodations. The location is perfect, right in the middle of downtown Jerome. The proprietor was friendly and accommodating, and the room was wonderful. We decided to sleep in so we didn't get to try breakfast, which we now regret having seen other's reviews. I would not hesitate to stay here again. We had a great time.

Yelp
My husband and I visited this great little inn this past weekend for our 29th anniversary and are sure we will be returning. We stayed in the Cleopatra Hill room - beautiful, clean and perfect for 2. Breakfast both mornings was fabulous, served in a lovely, sunny dining room. The hostess, Ingrid, and staff were all very friendly and I could tell were hopeful that all of their guests would enjoy their stays. And we totally did! Also a great location. Easy walk to all restaurants and shops. Fab all around!

Yelp
Having paid $250 for two nights in this tiny room, you would think that you did not have to order maid service. I assumed that was a given, as water and electric was included in the cost of the room. There is no way to control the heat in the room. An in-wall airconditioner is available but it's so loud, it's impossible to use it at night! It is for this reaJust stayed here for two nights. My accommodations were in the smallest (closet size) room in the building. The room was clean and nicely appointed considering its tiny size. On the second day of our stay, I went back to the room at 3 PM and to my supersize, the room was not make-up from the previous day. I approached the owner and she told me that I did not indicate that I wanted fresh towels, the bed make, fresh soap, shampoo, etc. She informed me that I did not hang the (back side) of the Do not Disturb sign on my door. That was the only way that the maid would know to clean and refresh the room. Guess what? I have stayed in hundreds of hotels over the years and have never had to hang a sign on my door for maid service! t Every room I have ever stayed in always contained a Do not Disturb sign on the back of the door but there was never a hidden message on the reverse side of the placard. The sign was hanging on the wall, as per the photo, but I never thought to turn it over for additional instructions. Of course maid service was included but I was never told that you had to ask for it by finding and displaying the hidden message on the reverse sign of the Do not Disturb placard and displaying it at the mandatory time on the outside of your door.son and this reason alone, I can not recommend this B&B.

Yelp
We stayed in the Northern Exposure room; 2nd floor-middle room w/ a balcony. There are a total of 6 rooms in the main house and 2 separate apts down the street from the house. All of the rooms have been updated & have private baths. We had the perfect view from our balcony and met some new friends on both sides. After a great lunch at The Bordello and some wine tasting, we went back to the room and enjoyed some drinks & fun conversation with our new friends! Had a fab dinner at The Mile High Inn and called it a night. Nicole served us a great yummy breakfast that included fruit, yogurt, coffee, oj, hot tea and French toast & sausage. We've stayed at the Jerome Grand a few times, but I'd have to say, this was a much more fun experience and it was very convenient to walk to the restaurants and shops. Although the room was small, the bed was VERY comfy and bathroom was clean and stocked with fresh-soft towels. Brandon greeted us upon our arrival and gave us the details on the grounds and hours they were avail. They left notes every time they weren't avail and where they could be reached. Definitely coming back!!! We discovered our new favorite place in Jerome! Von & Greg D.

Yelp
The Ghost City Inn was the perfect place for my husband and I to stay after driving 16 hours to get to Arizona. Jackie, the owner, was absolutely wonderful. My husband called the day before arriving on a busier than normal weekend for Jerome (Monster Mash is all I'll say) and Jackie happily secured us a room even after dropped calls as we traveled through the mountains of West Texas. She even "made sure there were fresh cookies in the lounge" for us when we arrived. They were delish, by the way. We stayed on the bottom level in the far right suite (can't remember the name, sorry!) And it was so adorable. The decor was homy and the bed was soo comfortable. We had a view of the beautiful Verde Valley and were within walking distance to everything we wanted to see. In the morning, Jackie made some delicious quiche, and because my husband doesn't eat eggs, she gave him extra sausage and potatoes. He was happy, as was I. Check out was simple, and Jackie wished us well on our trip like an old friend. If we ever make it back to Jerome (and I hope we will) we will definitely book at the Ghost City Inn! If you want friendly service, a yummy breakfast and stunning views, then stay here!

Yelp
When I think of Ghost City Inn the first thing I think of is the fantastic sleep I got while it was there. Was it the bed? Was it the fresh air? Was there a ghost who cast a sleep spell over me? I don't know but I haven't woken up that rested in a long time! The boyfriend and I recently made our second trip to the Ghost City Inn and enjoyed our stay as much as we did the first time. The owner is friendly, the breakfast is tasty, and the rooms are cozy and comfortable. Oh yeah, and the beds are extremely comfortable! Last year we stayed in the Northern Exposure room which was decorated like a cabin. This year we got the Western room which had a cowboy theme. They were very different but both were just as great. Part of what makes them great is the balcony. We spent a lot of time out on the balcony overlooking the mountain. The location of the B&B lends itself to an unbeatable view. In the AM we were treated to a homemade breakfast. Last time it was a southwestern egg frittata. This time stuffed french toast. Both were delicious and it's kinda fun not knowing what you're gonna get, you just know it will taste good. Parking can be kinda tricky as, like most places in Jerome, the Ghost City Inn does not have parking. But after dark the town gets pretty quiet so we have been able to find a parking spot across the street. I highly recommend Ghost City Inn and I can't wait to stay there a third time.

Yelp
I booked this trip for my boyfriend's 50th birthday he had never been to Jerome. I emailed Jackie about having a cake or cupcakes in the room with my guys fav beer(ipa) as a surprise and she went above my expectation! Birthday sign on the outside of our room door and sign on the inside and the goodies... As it turned out he had kind of a bad day the day we arrived and with her help it made it so great for him. We stayed in the Americana room it was perfect for the 2 nites mice and clean and the bed was so comfy. Jackie is an AWSOME chef her breakfasts were so so so delicious, and her stories kept us all intrigued, her hospitality was so spot on it was my first time to ever stay at a B&B and I have to say I am probably ruined and no one else will stand up to the incredible place that is the "Ghost City Inn"

Yelp
Individually decorated theme rooms, a great view, centrally located, friendly owner, delicious breakfast, lazy cat, almond-walnut cookies, coffee and tea round the clock, comfy beds, a plethora of board games. all in a historic building. what more can you ask, really?

Mariah B.

Yelp
We stayed in the cleopatra room 1 night and it exceeded our expectations by far! Such a cute room (and entire hotel), clearly recently renovated to be more updated with unique furnishings (down to the comforters!). Tea and coffee were available during covid- we can't wait to return when breakfast is being served!

Yelp
Okay, Yelp. I'm bucking the five-star trend here. Stayed overnight in the Northern Exposure room, after a night of UFO hunting and hiking around Sedona. Because the rooms were so great, I had crazy high expectations. Maybe that's part of my problem. The room wasn't bad - the bed was extremely comfortable - but that's really it. When I walked into the GCI, there was a man folding towels. I stood there, quietly and politely, until he acknowledged me: which never happened. We were told to sign a paper, keys were left on the table, and we were pretty much ignored for the duration of our one-night stay. The only warning was a strict, "Be at breakfast by 8:30 or you won't eat" memo. Ah, breakfast. Everyone is raving about Jackie and her breakfast... Neither of which I encountered. Apparently, the owners are trying to get away from the B&B more, so their son (the man mentioned above) and another girl primarily run the location now. Okay: It wasn't awful, but it wasn't great. The breakfast was average, the decor... unique, and the price tags on every. thing. everything! were tacky. I guess if you don't have many other options, it's not bad for the price or the location. But five stars? Not from my experience.

Yelp
First rate little B&B with neat rooms all fully fitted out - even got the Stanford game on their zillion channel sat system. Cieling fans - a big plus over only AC. Panorama sun rise and set view from our room's little deck and easy walk to the shops and such on the main drag. Pretty nice bfast. Quiet and safe as run by the police chief's wife! Tip: Sunset burger at the Haunted Burger's end table for 2.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I took a last-minute overnight trip to Jerome and luckily found a room at the Ghost City Inn. Everything about our stay was perfect! Even though we arrived pretty early, Jackie was super accommodating about getting us setup in our room. We didn't actually stay in the main inn, but in the Santa Fe suite at the Baker House down the street. If that suite is available I definitely recommend it! It's essentially an apartment and has a kitchen, living room, and separate bedroom. The best part by far is is a private-wrap-around patio with a porch swing. There is an amazing view, and it's the perfect place to sit and relax with a glass of wine after a day walking around in Jerome. If you are looking for a weekend getaway, I definitely recommend the Ghost City Inn!

Yelp
Ghost city inn was not only a very cute bed and breakfast but it's in a great spot in Jerome. My husband and I had a great time. We stayed in the Americana room and it was tiny and cute. Very cozy little room. We stayed two nights and each morning we had an AMAZING breakfast! I loved that at anytime you could go down and get some coffee or what I chose to make hot chocolate! I cant wait to go back and stay in a different themed room! Highly recommended! Owners and staff were very accommodating and friendly!

Yelp
We stayed a night there and it was exactly perfect. Clean, quiet, the atmosphere was terrific. It is close to all the shops and food. Jackie was fantastic and the green chili cheese cornbread bake she served for breakfast, was piping hot from the oven and sooo good. There was coffee and fruit also. The cookies were a nice treat too. Thank you Jackie

Yelp
I booked a room here back in April and due to my schedule, I had to change the dates several times. Each time, Jackie was very nice and friendly. But I had to change the dates so many times, so much that, Jackie said it was the very last time when I finally changed it to celebrate my birthday weekend during the summer before she told me she would have to charge $25 for changing my dates so often. I'm glad she put her foot down cause get ready for a gushing review of the Ghost City Inn! Let me be clear, before I arrived here, I had low expectations, I even thought the price for the rooms were high. Plus I thought Jerome being Jerome, any room with a window has a nice view of the mountains so I was not impressed with the photos of the views posted! It's really great to have low expectations blown away~ let me tell you, the moment I stepped into the B&B I FALL IN LOVE with the place! This place has that oh so sought after quality of feeling homey, cared for, and charming that so many B&B strive for and fail so miserably at NOT achieving. The first floor is where you come in to check in and to to have breakfast in the morning. It's decorated with things you would expect in a homey home and kitsch items for sale. Some places decorated in this style can be tacky but this place was not tacky at all. It had a welcoming feeling like I can take off my shoes and put up my feet, relax and read the paper. Seriously, not kidding, it feels like walking into a friend's home! The rest of the B&B has the same feel. Each room is uniquely decorated and all very lovely. The best part though which none of the other reviews have yet to mention is the common "living room" shared among all the rooms as you walk up the stairs that has a comfy couch, is inviting and full of games and books to read! My hubby, son, and I made use of this room like it was our own living room. Again, not kidding! We would go downstairs and get our fill of coffee, tea, lemonade, and freshly made cookies bring it into this "living room" and spend the time before going to bed playing board games. Jackie was very discreet. She didn't bother us at all so we felt like we had rented a house instead of just one room and the best part was we didn't have to make the beds or do the dishes! It crossed my mind that it would be totally worthwhile if someone had a large family or a family reunion to rent out the whole upper floor. It would be perfect. Alone time in the rooms/ gathering time in the "living room!" And the views from the upstair balconies are fantastic! We spent a lazy afternoon sitting on our balcony playing games, reading, and of course enjoying our cookies and tea/coffee! And there's nothing that makes or breaks a good B&B like a tummy rubbing, mouth watering breakfast . . . did I mention homemade? All the plates, napkin ring, condiments were Coca Cola themed. Beautifully presented, so delightful. And ahhh, the food! Freshly squeezed orange juice, fresh fruit salad, freshly made quiches and the ever so amazing thoughtful Jackie prepared freshly made waffles for my son knowing that at his age, he might not go for the quiches! Speaking of Jackie. What a lovely hostess. Couldn't ask for someone more personable. As many of the reviews had already written, she went out of her way to take care of us. She spoke to my son as though he was the most important person in the world~ and when she found out how much he loved anything police, she shared that her husband was the police chief in Jerome and told us to go pay him a visit and he would spend some time with us. Which we did~ the police chief not only took the time to talk and visit with my son, he also gave him a Jerome "deputy" badge which, well, as you can imagine, my son puffed up with happiness and was over the moon! I've always loved the town of Jerome for its scenery and artistic collection of shops but this time, it was made especially memorable with this stay at Ghost City Inn and getting to know Jackie a bit. A gem. Definitly a gem. Maybe even the most sparkling kind. I'm talking about Jackie and her beautiful spirit and how she brings the most wonderful life to her B&B!!!

Yelp
We had a great time at the Ghost City Inn. The owner was very friendly and welcoming, check in was a breeze, and our room was clean and comfortable. We were lucky enough to stay in the verde view room which has the obvious advantage of a veranda with an incredible view of the verde valley below. The inn is easily accessible to all Jerome has to offer, and so were able to walk around during our stay. As others have noted, breakfast did not disappoint. My wife is a vegetarian and we both really enjoyed the cornbread & green chili bake made in house by the owner. Overall, this place has a great view, is in an awesome spot, has a quaint feel, and is definitely worth a night or two of your adventures through this part of Arizona.

Yelp
Unforgettable! This B&B wasn't just a place to stay -- it felt like home, plus a lovely view and caretaker. Jackie is a delightful person and spectacular cook! I don't post on Yelp too often, but I wish I could leave Ghost City Inn more than one 5-star review. It deserves ten or fifteen stars!

Yelp
Great view, reasonably priced, friendly staff and wonderful breakfast. It was really great to feel like we were living a part of Jerome's unique history by staying in this old boarding house. The owners were also very knowledgable about the town's history.

Yelp
Stayed in the Verde Room and absolutely loved it! The room was clean, comfortable, and decorated beautifully. Enjoyed sitting on the balcony taking in the amazing view, I could have sat there all day drinking wine and eating the delicious complimentary peanut butter cookies. The only thing about our stay that was not so great was the breakfast. The young lady that was there was very nice, but the main hot dish (eggs, cornbread?) did not taste very good and was not cooked all the way through. I also thought that since the main dish has a thick cornbread topping that maybe a muffin or something sweet could have been served instead of the cornbread muffin we were given. It was just too much cornbread.

Yelp
We stayed in the Verde View Room which is so nice. The view was amazing from our own balcony. The room was pretty, clean and comfortable. Jackie was very friendly and cooked up a great breakfast. When we arrived there were cookies and bottled water. The common room had lots of games we could borrow. The only downside - being right on Main Street the traffic noise could have been bothersome, but earplugs avoided that problem nicely so we slept well.

Yelp
We stayed in the Northern Exposure room. It was decorated in a theme based on the TV show of the same name. It had a balcony with a stunning view of the Verde Valley. Innkeeper Jackie is a garacious host and an excelent cook. There was some traffic noise early in the evening but not enough to prevent us from sleeping with the door open all night. We won't stay anywhere else on our next visit.

Yelp
Ghost City Inn was quite a nice experience. Spotlessly clean, comfortable bed, and friendly innkeeper. The inn has an easy charm and a beautiful view. Parking was super convenient, but we arrived early in the day and that may have been a factor.

Yelp
Great price and location for this super cute and clean bnb. Our cabin was so cozy (also clean! No weird mildewy smells or dampness) and we had a great view from our room. Walking distance from lots of stores-- a teensy bit further away from the center of the town, but it's much quieter and spookier that way ;) we loved our stay. We had to leave very early in the morning so we couldn't stay for the famous breakfast but we took advantage of lots of free coffee and hot chocolate. It was our first time at a real bnb and the hostess was very sweet and welcoming, but completely respected our schedule and boundaries as well.

Yelp
Reminiscent of the old East German ways. The Ingred that I dealt with, was rude and had horrible customer service. Cancelled my PAID for weekend because I disagreed with their policy of charging me for the room 2 weeks before we even showed up. Stay away from this place.

Yelp
I believe it was Rachel that checked me it, she was such a sweety. I got the minors suite and it's absolutely kitschy (in a good way) and adorable. The place is just down the road from a grocery store, the 2 bars and restaurants. Book here!
