We tried a variety of banh xeo (vietnamese pancakes) here - they were crispy and and nice! The dipping sauce was a little too sweet for me. Otherwise it's a solid place and the fried cha ca (fish cakes) tasted good as well!

Local big size Banh Xeo restaurant, 35k per piece with one rice paper to roll it with some vegetables to eat, the taste is good and it’s my fist time to try the fermented pork, I will say the taste is ok to have a try hahahah just don’t expect too much from it.

I recently dined at Gia Vy 2 in Quy Nhon and had a fantastic experience. The crispy Banh Xeo Tom Nhay and the fried Cha Ca were both incredibly flavorful and delicious. The restaurant has a simple yet cozy atmosphere, which added to the overall enjoyment of the meal. The staff were friendly and accommodating, even with the language barrier, making sure I had everything I needed. The portions were generous, and the prices were very reasonable.

Let me preface this by saying, Gia Vy 2 isn't your typical tourist trap. It's a local institution, a bit rough around the edges, but with a heart (and stomach!) full of deliciousness. I stumbled upon this place while wandering the streets of Quy Nhon, drawn in by the rhythmic sizzle coming from the open kitchen. Inside, it's basic, with plastic chairs and tables, but the atmosphere buzzed with locals enjoying their lunch. Now, the star of the show here is the Bánh Xèo, a Binh Dinh specialty. Unlike the folded pancakes you might find elsewhere, Gia Vy's version is like a mini, open-faced pizza. The rice flour batter is perfectly crispy, and the filling is generous - think fresh, juicy shrimp, slivers of pork, and crunchy bean sprouts. Each bite is a symphony of textures and flavors, and the accompanying dipping sauce adds a delightful tang. Be warned, watching the lady in the front methodically cook up to 12 pancakes at once is both mesmerizing and slightly intimidating. But her skill is undeniable, and the wait is absolutely worth it. Here's the thing, Gia Vy 2 might not be the fanciest place, and the service might be a tad on the no-frills side. But if you're looking for an authentic, delicious, and affordable Vietnamese experience, this is the spot. Just come with an open mind and an empty stomach, and you'll leave with a happy heart and a satisfied belly. Pro tip: Don't miss out on the local beer - it's the perfect way to wash down all that goodness.

One of the best and most memorable meals we’ve had in Vietnam—Gia Vy 2 is an absolute gem! Me and my partner came here for the famous bánh xèo, and not only was the food amazing, but the entire experience was something truly special. The flavors were incredibly fresh, and you could taste the love in every bite. Everything was made with care—from the crispy bánh xèo to the fresh herbs and dipping sauce. It was delicious, authentic, and cooked to perfection. But what made it really unforgettable was the people. The gentleman at the restaurant took his time to kindly show us the proper way to eat bánh xèo, and he did it with so much pride in his culture—it felt like we were guests in his home, not just customers. The young ladies working there were also incredibly sweet, respectful, and attentive, always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed, with the kindest smiles. And on top of all that? The price was unbelievably affordable. Great food, warm people, and a beautiful cultural moment all in one. If you’re in Quy Nhơn, don’t miss this place. Seriously—do not leave the city without trying it. It’s more than a meal. It’s an experience.

Ordered 4 shrimp bánh xèo, 1 tré shredded pork skin and fermented pork. I’m very disappointed with the food, even we were so hungry but everything tastes so bad for us. It was around 9:30pm and only 1-2 customers in there, but it takes long time for the food to be served, then they served food to other customers who came later first. (They complained about food isn’t great too)

Shrimp Vietnamese pancake (bánh xèo tôm) is a signature meal of Quy Nhơn city. This restaurant is one of the best. We ordered one shrimp and one beef pancakes for two people. For solo traveler, you can order only one. How to eat: First, cut Vietnamese pancake into 1/4 with a scissors.(easier for rolling) Second, take one rice paper. Third, put the ingredients on the rice paper. Four, you can make a roll. Fifth, dip your roll to a sauce and enjoy!

Delightful family restaurant serving traditional Vietnamese Pancakes. The ingredients are fresh and plentiful - and when enjoyed with a beer, it is an authentic dining experience! The beef or prawn pancakes are great, and there is always a non-meat option if you prefer. Cut your pancake into slices, wrap with leaves, herbs, green mango and cucumber - and don't forget the mindblasting chilli. Come hungry and leave very satisfied.
