We came here after doing a bit of research online, looking for a nice bar in the area. What convinced us to come was discovering that the Negroni was born here, and as Negroni lovers, it became an obvious choice!
We were greeted by three young staff members who were super nice and friendly. The bartender who served us was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to explain the menu. You could tell he was genuinely passionate about his craft.
They offer the classic Negroni, of course, but also many modern variations, a very creative and interesting list. We chose the Negroni tasting experience, which allowed us to try six different variations between the two of us. Instead of each having the same three, the bartender curated a tasting so we could each try six unique ones by sharing every drink. It was a great way to explore the range of flavors.
The interior is well-designed and stylish, though the coffee and pastry counter inside does throw you off a bit. From the outside, one side looks like a high-end cocktail bar, while the other looks more like a regular café, which can be confusing. We even noticed some people walk by, pause, and ask themselves, “Wait, is this it?”
Honestly, for a place with such incredible heritage and history, it should have been much busier. The origin of the Negroni is something special and deserves to be celebrated more prominently. Right now, it’s not highlighted enough, especially from the outside. Unless you’ve done your research, you’d likely walk past without realizing the significance of the place.
My suggestion to the marketing team would be to emphasize the heritage and story of the Negroni more clearly, not just inside, but visibly for people walking by. This bar has all the potential to be a true destination for cocktail lovers, and it deserves a line out the door
