6 Classic Italian Cocktails to Try—Plus Recipes - AFAR

"A historic Florence café credited with the invention of the Negroni around 1919, when Count Camillo Negroni asked a bartender to strengthen an Americano by replacing soda water with gin — the origin story behind the now-famous Campari-gin-red vermouth cocktail." - Lyndsey Matthews, Ashley Goldsmith

Great vibes and great cocktails. William is a delightful host and exceptionally skilled and detail oriented. Would recommend starting with their negroni and then venturing out to their more contemporary cocktails. Don't leave without trying William's fermented olives!!!

Stopped into this hip little bar for drinks. Great music mix and vibe. The bartenders are true artisians and make wonderful unique drinks. The waiter was helpful explaining the drink menu (it's a book). Overall enjoyed our time here.

I could give them 10 starts as Super satisfy with the both drink Negroni giacosa (very smooth and fruity) and saproni(very earth on smell but once drink taste slight smooth and earthy smell and the taste and did not expect the pickle mushroom with wine to taste nice as well) . Even the light bite taste very good, the olive taste very balance and the cone with truffle and mushroom and cream cheese taste goes well with the negroni . Waiter very kindly explain on the drink and flavour profile of the drink once it arrives. It is really the birthplace of negroni as have variety of negroni style to try.

This place is so cute and perfect for a traditional Italian breakfast. The entire ambiance, food and service were great. The most memorable part about this bakery was the woman behind the counter. Her service was above and beyond and she made everyone feel so welcome. She even remembered the tourists who have recently visited the bakery. Come here if want to enjoy the perfect bakery!

The bar has an amazing atmosphere- cozy, lively, and full of good vibes. The drinks are high quality and clearly made with care. All the bartenders are super nice, especially Antonino. He’s very friendly and fun to talk to. Definitely a great place to relax and enjoy a drink!

I had my very first maritozzo from here and it was absolutely delicious that I had to bring my friends back few days after. During our third visit, we tried negroni, also very good!

This is a gem in Florence. Home of the Negroni and a great place for drinks and or snacks. Our waiter Sanche was fantastic. He shared a lot of history with us and provided great service. Don’t miss stopping here. It’s a very nice place.

Their dessert was mouth-watering. I had the ball shaped cream bun. It was just unforgettably well made. It was just so light to have, even though it was filled with cream and custard. It was creamy, soft, and not sweet. Must try! Their Croissants was outstanding, although it was not served warm.
