Love Toronto for spots like this! I’m sure there are a plethora of Italian restos scattered throughout the city but “Giancarlo” definitely gets Credit! Sat indoors but they have a great patio for warmer weather dining. Came for an intimate dining experience and was not disappointed- the “Funghi” starter was so friggen delicious! Giancarlo himself walks the entire place, serving, checking and just plain greeting and making sure your experience is going to plan! Kudos Giancarlo on a wonderful dining experience! Will definitely recommend and be back!

Cole, the bartendar was amazing! Took care of us and knew what we wanted. Absolutely made my experience here fantastic.

I've been going here for years and have always loved it. I've tried just about everything on the menu and have never been disappointed. Everything from apps to mains to dessert, you just can't go wrong. My favourite steak in the city, delicious pasta and the most amazing chocolate cake I've ever had. The wine selection is also great and the owner always make stellar recommendations.

Excellent. This is one of my favourite restaurants in Toronto. Good, well executed Italian food, with fantastic service. There is a great wine list, and in fact you get to walk through the cellar every time you choose a bottle. The food is excellent, and the service is always impeccable.

It is a disservice to rate my experience with only 5stars. The staff and food are world class. Being an avid traveller for both business and pleasure Giancarlo is a jewel in Toronto. I've yet to have anything on their menu I would not have again. Beautiful, classy and delicious!

Went to Giancarlo for the first time on Valentine's. Both my wife and I loved it! The handmade food was exceptional and atmosphere/service was excellent. We agreed that this will be our new go-to Italian restaurant in our rotation.

Absolutely terrible. I got the $40 veal and my boyfriend got the $20 spaghetti. His spaghetti was soggy and obviously over cooked and clumpy. My veal which I asked for medium rare was incredibly burnt on the outside and very rare (pools of blood on my plate). Service was okay. Drinks: the waiter charged me $20 for a Long Island iced tea which he made super strong and with the wrong type of liquor: clearly didn’t know how to make just because it wasn’t on the menu. The best thing I had was my warm water.

We were not impressed with our dining experience. Firstly the professionnel waiter seemed to tolerate taking our order.Having been to many Italian restaurants , we were surprized to pay for bread ,oil and vinegar.The pasta. Dishes were just ok . The wine prices were unreasonably high for what was offered. The music played was more suited for a Tavern atmosphere. Basically , not good value for your dollar.
