"An influential Apulian estate credited with elevating Negroamaro and reviving Primitivo di Manduria, founded in 2004 and run by its long-standing winemaking team. A standout, eco-sustainable cellar completed in 2021 is built from local stone and wood and integrates seamlessly with the landscape; the facility includes barrel and aging rooms, four guest suites with vineyard views, a wine bar, a ground-floor tasting room and a charming cellar event space. The on-site ES Cantina & Ristorante (recently listed in the Michelin Guide) showcases a chef-led pairing philosophy that designs dishes specifically to accompany the wines — examples include spaghettone with oyster sauce, lime and Gallipoli prawn tartare, and braised veal cheek with smoked potato foam and cardoncelli mushrooms. We had an incredible stay at the winery! Service was impeccable and the room was spotless, so clean. The bed and pillows were the best I have ever slept in. We had a lunch tasting with the 3 different Primitivo ES, Se and ES red and they were beyond spectacular!!! We were lucky enough to meet Gianfranco himself, what a lovely man he was… Definitely go!!!!!

Had lunch with wine pairings at the restaurant. Beautiful food in a beautiful setting. Wine was probably the best we’ve had in the region. Antonella, our waitress made the experience even more special.

The localisation is superb, very charming. The tour is with passion, and cellar is magnifique-I imagine perfect for special event. The wines, they are of high quality and with story, explained with much knowledge. Also, the snacks, are paired with care. Altogether, a moment very enjoyable. I recommend.

My husband and I visited for lunch, followed by a tour and tasting. The food was divine, and the service attentive. The atmosphere was lovely and the attention to detail incredible. The gem of our experience was our tour and tasting with Stefano. He led us through the cellar and production process all in english. He was warm, knowledgeable, and such a pleasure to spend time with. He gave wonderful recommendations, not only for our wine pairings, but for sightseeing during the rest of our trip. The wine was delectable and we purchased a bottle to bring home to the US. Overall this experience was a joy and I cannot recommend it enough. Special thanks go to Stefano who took our experience to another level!! (Also the lovely resident cat who charmed us as we sobered up before leaving ☺️)

We booked for the wine tasting experience which included a tour, a wine tasting of 5 wines and finger food. The experience was great and our guide, Stefano, was very knowledgeable and led a great tour in both English and Italian. We had such a good time that we ended up staying for lunch which was amazing! Highly recommend.

We had a great wine tasting experience. Great wines, as many may know, and truly amazing bite-sized food pairings prepared at a very high level. The cellar is so nicely designed. Such a wonderful winery, very tasteful, in a great area. We ended up staying for lunch, which was also great, but judging from the food accompanying the tasting, the restaurant would be really outstanding for the dinner menu. Recommend to reserve.

Incredible experience from start to finish at Gianfranco Fino. Stefano was brilliant! He ran our wine tasting which we would highly recommend. He’s extremely passionate and knowledgable about the estate, their wines, and beyond. Again at dinner with wine recommendations and the next day too with his colleague on reception giving us recommendations for our Puglia trip.

Unforgettable experience! Excellent settings for amazing wines and food pairing. One of the best places to visit in the South. Everything perfect from the tasteful dinner carefully paired with the different Gianfranco Fino wines, to candle-lit table and prompt service.
