Giant Eagle Supermarket

Normally decent although overpriced. Lately they are getting shady with deals on certain items. Went up to pickup a few items including a "buy 2 get 1 free" on 12 packs of Coke products. Normal stores would apply this to ANY coke 12 packs, Right? WRONG! Apparently now they "separate" coke products into separate deals to mislead you with signs so you pick up 3 coke products and end up paying $10 a pack if you dont buy the exact same types of coke products. I wasted time and money on a technicality on their over priced scammy coupon deals. I try to call and speak with customer service shortly after driving home when i realized my discount never came off, and they say "well its a coke product but not the right one so it doesnt count toward the sale". LOL yikes, I'll shop elsewhere now.

What happened to the rotisserie & fried chicken? The rotisserie chicken used to come in a bag with juices you could add to gravy and now the fried chicken new recipe is part crunchy, part rubbery. I'm not going get started on the bread. Don't change the stuff we love GE.

My go to Giant Eagle Store is on Bidoulph Road. It was Sunday the 1st of Nov about 8:30 am needed Beef Stew Meat. Most of the Meats were not out yet. So I ask the cashier about what time are the meats put out so I could come back. She called the meat dept. they told her it will out when it gets out!! I cannot believe they would tell a customer that !!! Of course I went to another store and it wasn’t Giant Eagle!!!

Things are generally overpriced but there are good deals when things are on sale. I wish they were still open anything close to 24 hours. They also need to have more self checkouts.

Always have what I want or need and there pre made meals are always a quick easy dinner and love the sushi there

I went to pick up a couple of things that were on sale. I got some Turkey breast. I got some Ben and Jerry's. I got some shampoo and conditioner as well. I used a few little online coupons. It was all good.

2 days in a row deli closed an hour early and nothing in the pre sliced cooler. The day prior the girl was behind the counter and told me they were "a little short staffed" sad people don't want to work anymore

I stopped shopping at this chain a few years ago, but felt it was worth a try again. I visited this location today and was saddened to see the same issue. The strawberries still have mold, so I limited my trip to a few things including boneless skinless chicken thighs. We cooked it this evening. My wife and I were both ill as a result. Thanks Giant Eagle for continuing to remind me how poorly you manage your food products.
