I’m a very busy professional and sometimes I need to change my travel plans. This is why I also take travel insurance. It’s totally worth it because you never know cancellation policies, especially abroad. This was the case with Giardino Marling. I made a reservation shortly after they opened on April 5th and sure enough, work pulled me away and I needed to cancel. I ran through the protocol and reserved for August where there’s little chance of cancelling. Can’t wait to go!

One word: Exceptional ! ||We had the most amazing stay in Il Giardino Marling. The first thing that strikes your eye when you enter the domain, located slightly uphill in neighbor town Marlingo, is the panoramic view over Merano’s valley. We enjoyed it from our bigger-than-you-wish-for room when we woke up (room needs to be on the right side of the building), at breakfast and even more during dinner when the sun sets and buildings light up. ||Unless we often went out for hiking, visiting Merano’s city center or exploring the area in general, this hotel literally has every possible facility you need for a luxurious stay: a rooftop infinity pool & jacuzzi (again an amazing view!), over 5 different saunas (I think), a tennis court,… And not to mention, an extensive card of classy and tasteful spirits & wines!||But what really made the difference for us were the extremely welcoming and warm-hearted people, and especially our waitress Elisabeth. Every evening she treated us in the most elegant and joyful way possible. She made our stay exceptional!||Fam. Saenen

Let's start from the end, we reserved 5 nights and we stayed 6. The service tops it all, with too many names to mention, from the personal reservation process (direct booking and not comparable to other hotels in the region who 'follow process and script'), through the treatments in the spa, the service in the meals and the cleaning of the rooms - all perfect. As one of the service people said: "I have the luxury of choosing where to work and I love it here". It is visible in every detail and it makes a difference. Our car is safely parked, our relaxation is secured. The hotel stands for what it offers, silence (and we appreciate highly the no music and no entertainment approach), amazing roof top and, and equally, full acceptance and entertainment possibilities for our under 16 years old child - out and inside pool, entertainment room and relaxation area next to the pool. If I need to suggest 2 small details: The air-conditioning (justified) was not operating yet (end April) and we were depending on the open window for cooling the air which is fine (however it drove (too) early morning outside noises). If this can be changed in a systematic and sustainable manner it would be a plus. Add a coffee machine to the room to allow for full enjoyment when seating on the amazing balcony admiring the view. When I asked why not many reviews on the sites, I got a lovely answer "While we appreciate any review, we have many repeated guests, and they do not write". I know I will aim to be one as well.

This place is AMAZING! Love the boutique feel. In terms of the staff, you see the same faces and they get to know you too. You get the same table every day for breakfast/dinner so it really feels like it's "reserved" for you. ||I'm a huge foodie so am usually unimpressed by hotel food, but this place's food was truly amazing - not one thing disappointed. Looked forward to both breakfast and dinner every day.||The saunas are an absolute MUST here too! They do a great job with hosting events. Marlengo is such a cute town with the apple orchards but trust me, you'll barely want to leave the property.

This was our second stay at the hotel and it was definitely as good as our first one. The hotel is wonderful with helpful staff, amazing food and beautiful large rooms. Merano is a very pretty town, great for shopping and eating. There are wonderful cycle rides in the area with views of the mountains and river, as well as lovely walks. A great week's holiday!

Giardino Marling is quite a small hotel set on the side of a hill overlooking Merano. We spent 9 nights there in October with our 2 children aged 16 and 17. It is one of the best hotels that we have ever stayed in. Everything about the hotel was perfect, from the beautiful rooms we had overlooking Merano, to the amazing food we ate in the restaurant. The hotel has a stunning swimming pool and Jacuzzi on its roof where you can sit and watch the lights appear in the town below in the evening. The staff are all lovely too and very helpful, especially Jana who was our waitress for the week. There are lots of activities in the area such as walking, biking or E-biking (the hotel provides both free) and the very sophisticated towns of Merano and Bolzano to visit. ||||Thank you to all the staff at this fantastic hotel. We will definitely return.

We enjoyed an impeccable week during the July heatwave at the Giardino Marling. Property was meticulously cared for and it is obvious that attention is paid to every detail as it should be at such a hotel. Restaraunt was amazing and so we ate dinner there almost everyday and truly appreciated the creativity and quality that their kitchen staff brought to each entree. We look forward to returning as we were always made to feel comfortable and relaxed by the excellent team and owner so thanks to you all!

As soon as we stepped into this beautiful and spacious hotel, we immediately felt a sense of new-found liberty! The incredible panorama is visible from practically every corner of the hotel: from our comfortable room to the exercise and spa area, to the breakfast & dining terrace, where we enjoyed fresh, delicious meals in a quiet and relaxing environment. One of my favorite spots was the sky pool, where I loved the sensation of “swimming in the sky” while enjoying the view of Merano and apple orchards below. The owners, managers and staff were genuinely welcoming and attentive to every single detail, making us feel very special indeed! Thank you Giardino!
