Nipped in for a drink on our last day in Budapest, would of loved to see the gypsy music they have every night but our 2 year old dictates otherwise . Going down into a cellar type room you transport back in time to the real hungary, not like the new bars around the corner . Old lady made us very welcome and it's places like this you remember, so even if it's only for 1 drink nip in I loved it

Gizi néni is kind, but this bar became a scam bar even for Hungarians! We went there to have some drinks with a small group. At 10pm the musicians arrived so they told there is an entrance fee, 1000 HUF/person. We thought it’s okay, so we stayed. After a while the musicians forced us to order a track and after they asked us to pay a “round”. Unfortunately we said yes. At the end we paid double of the price as we estimated and we heard that the musicians were drinking water from the shot glasses.

Tourist Trap. No menus with prices. 2 Palinka and 2 small beers were 8,200huf (£16.50). The band was good; music traditional - they expect to be tipped.

This place is so lovely. Gizzy is a gem and treats her customers very well. It was like stepping back in time.if you are looking for an authentic Hungarian gypsy experience this is the place to go. The music started at 10pm, it was outstanding x

Very Authentic and Interesting place with Gipsy Live Music !!! The place doesn't look pleasant, not rich viarety of drinks, but very cheap . Must Visit if you in the area and listening music from the bar.

Musicians have skills but playing on autopilot. Not much passion and saw a few of them yawning during performance. The woman at bar wasn't very friendly. We ordered still water because the venue was extremely hot but she would only give us sparkling water, while they had still water for themselves. Left without paying for water since we didn't drink it.

We stopped there for lunch. Owner haf just prepared one traditional Hungarian dish, it was most authentic home made lunch during whole trip. Highly recommended
