The ambiance was really authentic and friendly. Proper home cooked food. The violin player was amazing. Fairly priced. Decoration was all about heritage. Would highly recommend

I honestly don’t even know where to start. We were there for only 10 minutes, but it already felt way too long. My husband ordered a white wine with sparkling water and a small glass of beer — something that should’ve cost less than €5. The waitress told us it was €15, which was completely unreasonable. On top of that, she insisted we could only pay in cash, and then added that we had to pay extra because of live music — which hadn’t even started. Long story short: avoid this place. It’s overpriced, unprofessional, and seems like a tourist trap. Not worth your time or money.

Nipped in for a drink on our last day in Budapest, would of loved to see the gypsy music they have every night but our 2 year old dictates otherwise . Going down into a cellar type room you transport back in time to the real hungary, not like the new bars around the corner . Old lady made us very welcome and it's places like this you remember, so even if it's only for 1 drink nip in I loved it

TOURIST TRAP SCAM DONT GO!!! No menus, cash only. They act really nice and give you a shot. They ask which country you are from or ask if you want a request and play a song you know. When finished song they say "Pallet" meaning shots for the band, they did this twice to us. We didn't trust them and asked how much this cost us and they asked for Euro 40 for 6 shots of local homemade spirit. We refused to pay this and after a lot of arguing they backed down and we left. They use a little old woman as the bar tender who has zero English to confuse and try to make you feel bad for questioning prices on bill. Total scam.

i had a great time listening to my favorite gypsy music. They knew all the music that i requested from the 1940 hits,If you love gypsy music this is the place,Of course the musicians expect tips,

This place is so lovely. Gizzy is a gem and treats her customers very well. It was like stepping back in time.if you are looking for an authentic Hungarian gypsy experience this is the place to go. The music started at 10pm, it was outstanding x

Lovely little traditional place but rather expensive. A shot of local liqueur Unicum set me back more than it did at a fairly posh restaurant I went to minutes beforehand!
