What a fascinating, bright spot on the Swansea Marina. All of the lanterns, decorations and atmosphere made it even more enjoyable. They have a nice, large vegetarian and vegan menu which made it easy to order. Got several dim sum options and very good. Hearty portion sizes. Felt very hearty. The little bag at the end was a lovely touch. They definitely put love into the whole environment.

We had a lovely meal here, everything was well presented and tasty. Lovely staff and great decorations around the restaurant and outside with views of the marina. Thought it was priced just right compared to London where we live it was cheap. The goody bag is a nice little touch. If ever in Swansea again it will certainly be on our list to go to. Thank you all.

In Swansea to support Ospreys. Lovely location just of the marina entered an explosion of pandas and lanterns. Ambience is excellent music is great but not excessively loud. Menu was great with plenty of vegetarian/vegan options and customisable options. Service was quick and food even quicker, had one mix up with the order but was solved very quickly. Highly recommend the sour plum juice and coconut milk as both were excellent. Would note portions are massive as we went for two meals which could've fed atleast 4 people. Toilets were very interesting Staff were friendly and welcoming would absolutely come back next time I'm in swansea.

We've been here many times before but it really is a wonderful place for a family event. We travelled all the way from Cardiff (1hour drive) which goes to show how good the food and atmosphere is (as you can imagine we have plenty of similary but not as good offerings in the Capital City). It's a great place to bring kids as they love the decor, toilets and freebies. Yes, I did say toilets! You'll have to visit to find out why. Food is also always good but it's great for large groups because you can sit on a round table and everyone can see each other and share the banquet meals!

Went in early but soon filled up. Allowed to change our meal time before a show. Service was excellent and food was delicious, even had a goody bag at the end. Vegan menu is outstanding.

We had an amazing time out for New Year lunch! The set menu was lovely, we tried dishes we wouldn’t have normally ordered. One of our favourite parts was seeing the lion dance. Really special afternoon out. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Made us feel so at home. The decor inside is spectacular. There must be hundreds of pandas inside! We will definitely be back to visit again. Thank you for making our first trip special. We hung our lucky money bag up at home ❤️

Loved our visit to GiGi Gao's, my wife, me, and our two kids (6 & 9). The waiting staff were super friendly, especially Iona (spelling?) with both the kids - encouraging them in their task of counting all the pandas (clue: there are tons...). They even shared a small gift with the kids for their efforts! The food was nice, without being outstanding. We had a set meal for the two adults topped up with ribs and chicken noodles. Then for dessert, the banana fritters, custard bao buns, and red bean sesame balls (delicious). The decor in the place is ace, really fun, and kept the kids entertained all night. The loos are especially cool. Overall, a really nice visit and I'd heartily recommend going.

Yelp
If this is what authentic Chinese is then give me british Chinese all day. I had some sort of pork hot pot dish. Except it wasn't pork. It was like shavings of some dark, grey, bland, chewy meat. I honestly think it could have been cat or dog. MY partner had a chicken curry and she had like random bits of boiled skin. It was horrific, turned me sick. Foreign muk.

Yelp
I'm running on fumes after a long travel day and after a power nap I was craving spicy food. A quick search showed Gigi's with rave reviews and Chinese sounded like it would fulfill my cravings. The restaurant is a short 6 minutes walk from the Marriott and the walk itself was a beautiful stroll past boats, tall apartments and quaint brick flats with little patios off of them. I walked into Gigi's and didn't see anyone at first. But I walked up to the bar and was greeted warmly the moment they saw me. Since I ordered takeaway so I could fat girl it in pjs in my hotel room, I don't have any comments regarding service. But being greeted with smiles makes me think service for sit down will be just as welcoming. My order was ready to go and smelled amazing. I got to my room and realized they hadn't put in utensils--oops. I'm so used to places in the US who throw in enough utensils for 4 people based on the amount of food I order hahaha. So make sure you ask for utensils if you're not taking your food back home. I ordered the cucumber salad, the Lazy Chicken(dry fried chicken no sauce but with plenty of kick due to the 3 types of peppers in the dish) and YuXiang aubergine with pork (saucy, mildly spicy eggplant with ground pork). WOW. I'm taking a break from shoving my dinner into my face to write this review. First impression is the food isn't greasy. It's flavorful, the eggplant is perfectly cooked, and the chicken crisp. I really enjoyed my cucumber salad which had a mellow, slightly soy flavor that offset the spices nicely. Everything (including rice) was under 25£. I was able to order online through their website and pay which was really easy and made pick up very smooth. If you're local or a visitor I highly recommend the food from Gigi's. I really like the fact that they don't use MSG and the food was non greasy. The portions are generous and the prices fair.

Yelp
Well we read the front of the menu telling us how the owner was a qualified lawyer with 2 masters degrees. it also said that the food would taste authentic. what I would is the owner should have stuck to law and left the cooking to someone else. The table was covered is bits of food from the previous dinners. the cutlery was dirty and damaged. the chicken curry had so little chicken, they could have sold it as a vegeterian curry. The rest of the food was terrible and tasted like it had just been warmed up in a microwave. it was without double the worst chinese meal I've ever had. You'd be better off buying any takeaway as it would taste better and you would save lots of money. I would not recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
This place has rave reviews on Trip advisor and so I've wanted to try it out for ages. So glad we booked because it was packed. There's only one room and it is small. Most tables have benches and you sit side by side with everyone. The menu sounded typical but the taste was outstanding. Particularly the tofu which was out of this world - nothing like I've tried before. The staff were lovely and told us everything that we needed to know to make great choices from the menu. The price was reasonable. the bar limited, and it was street parking only.

Yelp
Outstanding Chinese cusine! Best ever in Britain! Very nice authentic chinese menu. Nice variety. Generous portions. Gracious service. Owner even paid a visit to our table to check on our satisfaction.

Yelp
Staying overnight for work can be awkward when eating on your own but not at Gigi Gao's. Being a Monday evening in April it was very quiet but that didn't stop the food being excellent and the service being respectful and attentive. My dishes were just right, cooked with a light touch and served with affection. Hardly expected one of the best Chinese restaurant I've ever been to to be in Swansea, coming as I do from London but it really is. Highly recommended
