Gilbey's Bar, Restaurant & Townhouse

Very impressed with Gilbey's restaurant. Upon walking in from the street you are greeted with a large, plus and well decorated interior. We were a group of 10 people who received very attentive service from the waiter. The food was cooked and presented to a really high standard. Good wine selection. Great place to come for a special occasion.

A chance walk in for a meal on Friday night and they thankfully said yes. Definitely worth it. Lovely service. Great food and the most wonderful wine. Thank you.

Best rib eye steak I’ve ever tasted Update 2022: Went back to have the steak that stuck to my memory but it wasn’t as great anymore. Maybe my taste has changed :/ Service was still great though. Mediterranean vegetables terrine was lovely

This was such an amazing experience, I visited on September 4th 2021. Your waitress that was there in the morning was so sweet and very helpful. The Full English Breakfast was absolutely perfect, even better than I could have ever imagined. From the melt in your mouth and delicious smokiness of the bacon, to the perfectly cooked eggs, and all the amazing jams you have (first time having black currant, and I love it now!) it was definitely a once in a life time experience. Thank you for making my first time in the United Kingdom a special one. I definitely reccomend checking this place out if you have the chance!

Gilbey's is a lovely hotel situated above a small restaurant in the heart of Eton just a 20 minute walk from Windsor Castle. We stayed in a beautifully decorated room with an equally lovely ensuite shower room and the most comfortable bed I've slept in. The staff at Gilbey's were very polite, friendly and helpful throughout. We opted for a full English breakfast which is an additional cost and served in the restaurant and it was worth every penny. The food was of an excellent quality and tasted amazing. We would most definitely stay here again.

Went here for a wedding recently and had a fantastic time. The food was incredible and the rooms were brilliant. The staff were really friendly and it was well decorated.

It was a delight from start to finish. Very welcoming and attentive staff and the food was more than excellent. Would definitely go back again.
