Gilde Restaurant & Hotel Zunfthaus zur Rebleuten

We stayed here for one night in Chur. The room was very spacious and comfortable, with lovely views! Had all the required amenities. Checking in smooth and efficient. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel didn’t have a lift, but we were warned about this in advance so it wasn’t a problem . We really enjoyed the breakfast in the morning. That was a good variety of food to choose from. Lastly, the building itself is very pretty.

We had an overnight stay at the The Zunfthaus our Rebleuten and it was the perfect mix of old charm and newer amenities. We stayed in a recently renovated room which was spotless. It did not have a/c but they thoughtfully provided a fan in the room for ventilation. Our room overlooked a historic square and it was very quiet. The breakfast was a highlight in their beautiful breakfast room. Will definitely plan to stay there again. *I did not see an elevator, so please note this if you unable to climb stairs, this may not be your choice.

If you need a place to crash for 1 or 2 nights, this is a short walk from the train station, and a great central location to explore the old town. However I would not recommend staying for longer, or if you are looking for comfort. We had several issues, none were absolute deal breakers, but I would not return. Firstly, the lobby smells like stale cigarettes, and our room smelled like a goat farm. Our room was on the top floor, and there is no elevator, so you have to carry your luggage up many stairs. Our room was small, and my husband had booked a double, but we got 2 single beds. We pushed them together but they kept sliding apart. Not romantic. There is also no fridge or AC in the room. Being on the top floor in the summer was very hot. There was a small fan that helped a little. Due to being an old building, there were lots of random half steps on the floor that we were constantly tripping over, not very safe. Breakfast was disappointing, and service was not very attentive. No one checked on us or asked if we wanted to order anything. Most of the stars are for the convenience of location.

This is the second time of staying in this hotel and by chance we had the same room. |Lovely historic hotel with plenty of charm. The breakfast room is really something.m|Room was a good size and the bathroom. There isn’t any A/C in the rooms but with windows open and nice breeze we were fine. |It’s in a very quiet area and just a stones throw away from the old historic part of the city. |There are no lifts so be prepared to carry your luggage up to your room.

The hotel is in a very picturesque 15th century building. We were greeted by a friendly receptionist and we were able to leave our cases while we waited for our room. Our room was a small en-suite . All clean with a good powerful shower. Unfortunately it then went downhill hill. Breakfast was ok nothing exceptional . The waiting person on the morning we stayed had no customer service skill and really could not care. |It should be clearly noted that this hotel is NOT suitable for anyone MOBILITY ISSUES . We stayed at Hotel Zunfthaus zur Rebleuten in Chur for 3 nights from 25–28 September 2025, and overall, the experience left me quite disappointed. While the hotel has a charming historical appeal and is centrally located—making it easy to explore Chur on foot—the stay itself did not meet expectations.||The property is set in a heritage building, and the attached guildhouse-style restaurant is clearly the star attraction. However, this setup makes the accommodation feel more like a few ordinary rooms added onto a famous restaurant, rather than a fully developed hotel experience. The contrast between the grandeur of the restaurant and the simplicity of the rooms was quite noticeable.||My biggest issue was the poor sleep quality. The room offered very little sound insulation, and noise from the surrounding area carried late into the night. The bed and pillows were not particularly comfortable either, which made it difficult to get restful sleep during my stay.||The services were very minimal, with only the bare essentials provided—no real amenities or thoughtful touches that make a stay feel comfortable or well-rounded.|On a positive note, the staff were genuinely helpful and friendly, always ready to answer questions and assist with anything needed. Their warm attitude was one of the few highlights of the stay.||Overall, I found the hotel highly overrated for what it offers. The location and pleasant staff are definite strengths, but the lack of comfort, limited services, and the feeling of staying in an add-on to a historic restaurant left me underwhelmed. I would likely consider other options if I return to Chur.

Room is clean and well equipped. They were very accommodating of us as we arrived late in the afternoon and asked if they could still served lunch. To our pleasant surprise, it was one of the best meals that we have in Switzerland.

Charming old world hotel in old town section of Chur. Jacqueline and Marco were amazing hosts. Their personal touch made our stay remarkable. |We also enjoyed an amazing 4 course chefs special menu for dinner . Highly recommended. Just a short walk from the rail station .
