Google
Their staff is super friendly and the course was SO MUCH FUN! We went twice during our visit. Both courses are more difficult than your standard mini golf, which we loved. The “hard course” was very challenging, and overall the courses are very well kept and well worth the affordable fee (which includes unlimited rounds for the entire day!) Definitely recommend this spot.

My husband & I along with our 24yo son and his GF went to play put-put mini golf during vacation recently…we arrived on a Tuesday about 4:30 with no waiting and had a blast! We were able to take our time and enjoy the course taking the challenging course head-on with tons of laughter! A must visit no matter what age

Google
The scenery was gorgeous, and the water was bright and beautiful. They had two sets of course to choose from, and we chose the left, so this whole review is on the left, which is the rock area. It was so cool to walk through the tunnels and even play some courses in the rock. The bad part was the rim of the hole, I will put in a picture, was kind of slippery because of what it was made out of, and your ball would either go over it or bounce off of it. Overall, it was just hard to get your ball in, which, going with 6 people, was kind of frustrating because it was taking forever. The bathrooms were kind of outdated, but they were decent. If we went back to SC, I don't think I would come back here.

Google
Gilligan’s Island Funland miniature golf is awesome. We really enjoyed it. If you haven’t tried it, come try it out. You will enjoy both 18 hole courses that they have to offer.

I had a great time here overall, but there are definitely some things I should mention. Despite everything I'm about to say, I will likely come back to this place at some point. Pros: If you want a genuinely challenging course, definitely play here, as there are some truly challenging and tough holes on the two courses this place has to offer. The waterfall scenery is also nice, and each course has its own practice green. This place also has a system where if you get a hole-in-one, you can go back to the lobby, spin a wheel, and if the number the wheel lands on matches the number of the hole you got your hole-in-one on, you get a little prize of some sort! Cons: This is one of those places that uses a big metal hole for each green, and it always gives me a sense of dread when I see something like that on a miniature golf course, and I have good reason for it. I feel like courses that have holes like that, I tend to do worse on, as I feel like something about the metal placement in the AstroTurf messes up my ball as it rolls along the green. There were quite a few times here, I'd say at least ten, where I felt like I had lined up my shot with the hole perfectly, but my ball still somehow barely missed it. I'm not the best player in the world, so I can expect that to happen once or twice, but it's still extremely frustrating when it happens over and over again, and it couldn't be me all of those times! Also, the scenery and decorations of the course were nice, but if you're not into tall stacks of grey rocks, this place might visually bore you. In short, I still had a fun time here, and I'd still recommend this to other people if you are looking for a true challenge, but when you keep getting a bad score because of problems you feel like is the AstroTurf fault and not yours, that's when it goes from being a challenge to being cheap.

We had an enjoyable time doing two rounds of mini golf. I highly suggest using Groupon if they still have the coupons. I paid just over $13 for two people unlimited play. And if you get a hole-in-one and you get to spend the wheel for a possible free game in the future. lady running the place was nice. Worth the drive from the downtown Myrtle area. Place was kept up well it may not look like a lot but it has a lot to offer.

Google
Gillian’s Island Funland was a fun mini-golf course for our group. You can buy an all-day (until 6 pm) ticket to complete both 18 whole courses, making a total of of 36 wholes. It was ~$9 for an adult ticket. Or, you can buy a ticket for one set of 18 wholes. This was about ~$7. There are two courses to choose from. “The Minnow” and “The Castaways.” So if you only buy a ticket for one course, they are different. “The Minnow” has more hills, rocks, and trees. So on a hot day, this was nice to be in the shade. “The Castaways” is more flat, but has smaller levels inside each whole. Each whole has a variety of shapes and hills/flat surfaces.

Google
Groupon pointed me towards this course. Highly satisfied with this great putt-putt course. Very challenging. Love the layered landscape and incorporation of stones and water throughout. It was a sunny 90 degree day and there was just enough shade scattered throughout the course and the cavern hole was a perfect break from the hot sun. Lots of high level elevation differential holes here. This is a course to sharpen your skill levels.

Yelp
They have 2 courses a challenging course and a hilly course. We played the tougher one and boy was it challenging! Tough to get a hole in one on this course but lots of fun. The maintenance staff needs to trim some of the bushes several were overgrown into the pathways. And the cups have a rim on them so many times the ball rims the cup. I don't recommend this course for elderly or little children. But great for competitive adults.

David H.

Yelp
Older man working behind the counter was extremely rude and lacked basic social/communication skills. When we walked in he was shouting expletives in front of my nephew. He told my sister to "not look at [him]" as she was leaving and sarcastically asked my mother if she was blind when she asked where the balls were. Take your money elsewhere--this guy is a creep. Not to mention the course was in very poor condition. There were several holes that were not designed well at all and there were bugs everywhere.

Matthew H.

Yelp
#1.) Creepy old man at the front desk was rude to each individual in my family. If we asked him a question it was either a rude response or no response at all. As we left he used profanity (at what is supposed to be a kid friendly place). #2.) This course was not worth the money at all. The dumbest putt putt design I've ever seen. Not to mention the greens were soaking wet and our clubs grips were all sticky. It's not often that I have to make a review. However, I wish no one the traumatic experience I had.

Isabella Y.

Yelp
My family and i came here to putt putt for a fun vacation activity. WRONG this was the worst mini golf experience i have ever encountered, the old bastard behind the counter was extremely rude to my family as we walked in, he didn't even acknowledge us, we had to speak to him first. The Castaways course was very challenging but also all the holes were similar and it was very over priced. Would NOT recommend!

Kevin G.

Yelp
The courses were challenging and fun. The only thing that I didn't like (at all) is that the holes have a lip on them above the grass. It made the already difficult courses much more difficult and unpredictable.

Brianna F.

Yelp
Course definitely is hard but only because of the hills. Not as fun as other courses in the area. Older gentleman behind the desk was very short and rude. Prices say 12.95 per person and that you get a buy one get one free coupon to come back with adult purchase. However when we asked if that was the case (he was not going to give any out) he ignored us and we had to ask several times before giving us one (there was 4 adults). We then inquired since we got 3 hole in ones about the wheel you get to spin and he once again ignored us and made us show our card. He was very rude and what I would assume is the owner. I've been to many golf courses and would not give your money to this one. This is from April 2021 **

Dominic Y.

Yelp
don't go, over priced, the cashier is a weird guy, he doesn't even talk to you when you walk in, you have to talk to him before. And I almost fell in the water because there's no rails.

Adrian W.

Yelp
Take you money to one of the other miniature golf courses! The guy behind the desk was as rude as crap. There were 3 of us playing and my father asked if they had senior discounts. The guy said "sure, I will give all 3 of you the senior discount. That will be $38.75. After finishing, we saw the sign that was located behind us when we walked in that stated the games were $12.50 each. So, not only was the prick rude, but o ER charged us. I will be reporting this to the better business bureau. Please don't expose yourself or your family to this type of person! Addendum: From other posts, it sounds like you all have a random price.

Reid H.

Yelp
I hope you are as good as Tiger Woods! This is one of the hardest miniature golf courses ever!! The "water" on the course smelled like sewage. Perfect place for the misquotes to lay their eggs. Good luck. Bring your deet and don't be clumsy or you will be bathing in the mosquito lagoon.

William F.

Yelp
Dated. Bathrooms smell. Brush need cut throughout. Just needs updating . Good location but just not to standards of the courses in Myrtle

Simone B.

Yelp
Coupons only work BEFORE 6pm - BEWARE! It's pricey otherwise!! Rude man behind the desk was short and very rude. Said what the total was and didn't care if we played or not. At the end - he walked to the 18th and grabbed our putters out of our hands because people were waiting - Those putters probably did not get sanitized!!! The courses were ok - Not great, not bad. Lots of bugs at night. Too - Bring mosquito spray!!! If not for the rudeness, we'd have given a decent rating!!!!!

Deb F.

Yelp
Went to this establishment last night. Lets just say my cousins and I arrived in great moods to immediately be shut down by the man behind the counter. His customer service was absolutely horrible. Apparently we were not moving fast enough for his liking (mind you no one was behind us). His whole mood was just negative and he seemed as if he would rather be any place else but there. I'm giving this place three stars only because we have come here multiple times before and it has become a tradition to come over the summer. But to be completely honest, to come to an establishment excited and in a good mood to being made feel like you're just in the way was not what we were expecting.

Patrick P.

Yelp
We played this course on August 19, 2020. The reason we stopped at this particular course was because the large sign out front said that they accepted competitors coupons. When we unloaded the kids and grandparents and went to pay we were rudely told they do not accept coupons after 6:00, it was 6:10. The course overall was very difficult and some holes were impossible. The course was not to crowded easy to maintain social distancing however, when you had to return your clubs you had to walk in front of all of the waiting customers to place them into a bucket rather than having the bucket next to the exit. I thought it was pretty expensive.

Jenn R.

Yelp
My family really enjoyed our trip to this mini golf location. The staff was very nice and they took competitor's coupons. We were able to have unlimited golf all day for $6 per person. The course was well maintained and it took us just over 2 hours to play both courses. I will say though, these are hard courses. It is very difficult to get a hole in one. We enjoyed the challenge, but this may be frustrating for younger players. We will definitely go back again.

Matt E.

Yelp
Some of these lower-rated stars are outdated it seems. We went July 28 2020, and the place was great. Grounds were great, the course was interesting, and it wasn't crowded when we went on an overcast day around noon. They've got 2 courses, we only played one of them. If you're looking to avoid the crowds up in MB, I'd give this a try. I'd def go back.

Keith H.

Yelp
Old man is rude and did not provide good customer service. Owner needs to fire old man who works night shift. Was rude to my wife and daughter

Chad G.

Yelp
One of the best courses we've played. I liked that all holes had a walking path and that there are tons of rivers and waterfalls through the course. They built up 2 different mountains/caves and waterfalls, one for each course. Went two different days of vacation and interacted with three different women, all of whom were extremely helpful. Fantastic value for the play all day, did a few hours one morning, came back at 5pm for a final round before the 6pm evening crowd. kids had a great time, nothing I'd change about this course.

Jon O.

Yelp
This was our second mini golf of the trip, the first was Inlet Adventure up the road, which was much better. Gilligan's Island's sign said it takes competitors coupons but that is only until 6 and you don't find that out until you have unloaded all of the kids. Most of the holes weren't just difficult they were impossible! We have a family max of 5 strokes per hole which we ended up having to take on at least 1/3 and we couldn't have finish a couple given 100 strokes. The price was nearly twice that of the other course because they don't take coupons and anyone over 6 is an adult for some reason. We will not be back to play the other 18 and I am disappointed to have spent over $60 there to have no fun. If someone wants the buy one get one passes I will gladly mail them to you.

Burt S.

Yelp
Very nice place. The staff was pleasant and engaging. I would definitely recommend this course. The cost was a little higher than I expected at $9.75

Deborah M.

Yelp
Very nice staff. Course is very uneven. Shallow cups. Balls were very light. Course was poorly engineered. Repaired edging caused balls to leave course

Durrell W.

Yelp
We play a lot of courses while on Vacation, this course has to be the worse course our family has ever played and the highest price, half of the course is nonfunctional, bushes hanging over the course, course is run-done, the gentleman at desk was disrespectful, our family will never go back!!!

Charlotte W.

Yelp
The old man behind the desk over charged us based off the listed price that wasn't visible when we walked in. The old man was not very nice at all. I will never be back, People go play the other golf place they are a lot cheaper and much nicer courses, I guarantee you will play less and have more fun!!!

Chad W.

Yelp
We stopped tonplay at 925pm and they close at 10. They wouldn't let us play. They said we had to be off the course by 10. So, they actually close at 9 as far as letting people pay to play. But then again, we are white people so they dont care to turn us away

David H.

Yelp
Left after they told us it was $13 per game. A bit pricey for our large group of 6. It may include 2 for one passes but we (like most others) always only play one game. Suggest having a single game price option. Paid $9 right up the street at Tupelo bay golf and saved $24.

Cori M.

Yelp
My family and I enjoyed our evening golfing here. The price was very reasonable compared to some other courses in the area. The course was well kept and the staff was very nice. There was a squirrel that kept visiting us as we played. My kids were fascinated with him. Overall, this course may not have all the bells and whistles of newer courses, but it was an inexpensive fun family night out! My family laughed and smiled the entire time. Make the best of the course and your family will enjoy it as well.

Danielle S.

Yelp
Closer to 3.5 stars. This course is not as well kept as others I have been to in the area. It may not have all the bells and whistles of other courses in the area, either. However, it was a fun and challenging course. I believe the price was $10 per adult. Before 6pm they will accept any competitors coupons. Overall it was fun!

Ernie C.

Yelp
Definately not worth $7.95. Old and run down. Right on the main strip...I was there during a Harley bike week, so the loud motorcycles were almost too much to bear while "golfing." Don't know about the quality of the 2-3 other putt putt golf in the area, but this one has definately seen better days. To add insult to injury, they only take cash and the old curmudgeon dude working the front desk was SMOKING indoors with customers present. the parking lot is connected to a run down trailer park as well.

Abby O.

Yelp
Challenging and fun course, however they have people walking around to take your group's picture for a $$ opportunity. Overall nice well lit course with a nice price of $9 per adult!!

Mike E.

Yelp
I disagree with the other review. Our family went looking for a deal on mini golf because it's all expensive in MB. The cashier accepted a competitors coupon and my kids both played for under $10! Place overall looked clean to us. A simple choice of two courses. Maybe not all the bling as the main strip places but my kids didn't seem to mind!

Lindsay S.

Yelp
This place was great! The guys at the counter had so much patience with our large group & were friendly! We plan on making this our go to putt putt place in the future!

Erin B.

Yelp
I grew up along the Grand Strand and this mini golf course used to be one of the best on the south end. It is sad to see what has happened. Not only are their prices extremely expensive with no kid's pricing, they are always rude and grumpy the last 2 times we have gone. It was so bad this time, we ended up leaving and going somewhere else. For a business that thrives on the tourist business, I would hope that their customer service would get better and pricing more reasonable or I'm afraid they will be out of business soon. We ended up going to Inlet Adventure Island right done the road across from TGIFridays and had a great experience and their pricing was much more reasonable.

Sally R.

Yelp
We've been coming to Gillian's island for putt putt for years. I was extremely disappointed this time around. When we arrived- Tony, the man behind the desk, couldn't have been more rude. He was only interested in taking our money. The couple behind us asked what time they close and he said, "as soon as I can". Our kids were excited to be there and a very unhappy clerk started our experience off bad. The course is old and unkempt. We will not be back.

Jess J.

Yelp
Came here on vacation. The man behind the counter asked a customer to change toilet paper themselves. Course is NOT little kid friendly-dangerous in spots.

J G.

Yelp
Do not play here after a recent rain. We went a couple of hours after it rained and there was no drainage or effort to help dry up the courses or walkways. We couldn't even play one of the holes because half of the green where the hole is was under water. A few of the starting points were under water as well as parts of the greens. Everything was saturated with water. The balls did not roll well with the amount of water on the greens. It was dangerous to walk to one of the holes because the walkway was a few inches under water and we had to reroute our steps over the rocks to get to the green. We have played courses after rain and have never had this much of a problem. What would have been nice was if the man at the front would have explained that the course was not suitable to play with that much water standing. We paid full price and it was miserable to walk through the course. My 6 year old son also asked a simple question about where the balls go after the 18th hole and the man's short response and eye rolling was totally unnecessary. Thankfully my son didn't notice his poor attitude. We visit the area frequently and play miniature golf every day. We will not go back.

Scott F.

Yelp
Our family went their on vacation. The older woman who works their is very nice. NEVER go when the old grumpy man is there (usually at night). He seems mad at the world and should not be working at a place that has the word Fun in it. The course is actually not too bad, however, could use some renovations. The old man needs to find another job!
