Gilmer Apartment Hotel Wellington

Centre of the city but access is a bit limited if you are on foot, sneaking through car parks or other businesses to find lifts to Lambton Quay - not insurmountable but something to be aware of Twin room was what we expected and easy to live in. Facilities were fine. Only issue was the beds are packed into the rooms so difficult to manoeuvre around them Shower incredibly small, with shower head dribbling a lot so wasting water that could be in the spray.

We enjoyed our stay here not only was the room impeccably clean with a well equipped kitchen the washer and dryer was an extra bonus. The location was also great close to all the eateries and clubs just a short walk or a cheap uber drive. We would highly recommend love love love ❤️❤️❤️❤️Great price and car park cheaper than most hotels

This place had good reviews when I booked it, and it deserves them. Quiet, very centrally and conveniently situated, comfy bed, everything we needed, including a well set up kitchenette that we cooked in a couple of times. Our room and the public spaces had nice decorating touches, overall it was much more upmarket looking than the incredibly good prices suggested. Friendly, happy seeming staff which is always a good sign. We will definitely be back.

Great location within walking distance to everything we wanted. Rooms are comfortable, clean and well maintained. Staff were friendly. We had 2 rooms for our family and it worked well for our short stay. Would recommend booking their parking as it is on site rather than in a seperate building. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

I have been staying at Gilmer Apartments for more years than I care to remember. If you want a great view from your window its not for you. Everything else is all I need as a solo traveller for work. Close to all you need in central Wellington, clean, simple.

Awesome location. Very clean and tidy. Well presented apartment. Great place to stay on business. The room had everything you need for a few nights. Shops and cafes/restaurants all within close walking distance. MOTORWAY OFF RAMP and ON RAMP was 30 to 45secs!

A lovely apartment hotel tht is conveniently located. I had a room on the second floor and although it looked out to the building next door, it was spacious. The room was very well equipped with even a washer/dryer! It was also a spotless room and the cleaners should be commended! I enjoyed my stay there as it was a very comfortable stay. It was hilly walking up to the university but this is Wellington afterall… I would certainly stay here again!

Loved our stay, very comfortable even with a 3year old, more than what we needed! Very close to everything, reasonable priced and decent apartments. Bus was easy to catch from Airport to town and back again, drop off and pick up is walking distance from Gilmer. Also took the bus to the zoo and back, easy and close by. The Cable Car and all the shopping you need is just down the road. Easy walk to the Wharf for dinner and to the Te Rapa Museum and parks! Xx (Dinner suggestions: The Red Dog, Bin 44 and Crab Shack!)
