The best experience possible! That carrot ginger soup is so creative and super delicious! I will try making it at home. Both wood fired pizzas are fantastic , especially the Greek lamb one. Gelato and sieve and coffee cakes are all great! Service was a bit slow due to large crowd but without us complaining at all, they gave us a bit discount when we order ice cream and dessert later!

This is a great little restaurant in Livingston, MT. We had pizza, burgers & baked goods - everything was great! Good selection based on other restaurants in the area. The town is quaint with original neon signs that light the downtown at night. We had lunch & all of the staff were super friendly & accommodating.

We had seen this bar next to a restaurant a few days before so we decided to go back. The bar had a cool vibe. The food we ordered from next door was very fresh and delicious! We spoke to who I believe was an owner, she was so friendly and welcoming! My chicken sandwich was so juicy. The Cuban sandwich was buttery and scrumptious. Amon was our waiter. He was personable and attentive. We will be back if we are ever in the Livingston area again!

I am from Chicago. I am not going to butter up this review. I just got to admit. This place is so Darn "Good!". I mean good. From the hand made to order pizzas made from well experience pizza makers. If you dont believe. Just go in on a busy night and watch how fast service is. Is super fast!!! I saw my pizza being made, fly into the air from start, then to adding ingredients is the best! I was amazed. Then I saw the espresso machine. I wanted a shot of good coffee!!!. But I had order local IP beer! I was amazed at the taste and great pour. Was here for a few days visiting family. On my second day our visit was to fulfill our taste buds for a double stack burger! OMG... the taste was awesome, really good. Atmosphere made my burger even taste great. I will not lie. After a few mins. Of talking my burger was still warm with mouth watering flavors. I will always eat here. Since I saw the pride and real Joy that every employee puts into great service. To top our end of night. We tasted their italian scoops of real good ice cream. Please try it. Is super good. Night was not over. Family met the owner... wow! A super nice and down to earth. Wait... he was working on orders!!! Yep. Who does that. In other words. He takes real pride and shows of Montana true spirit. Made our night. We had pizza made to order. Beer. Second day. Two double burgers!! With great atmosphere and great five star service. See yah in July. That is a promise...the picture is of a Double patty chesee burger with fries and lets not forget dill pickle. Thank you Mr. Chris.

We had the best food and drinks and best service and experience at Gil’s Goods! The location was super cute and divey - the perfect downtown spot to grab lunch with the neon sign and old brick structured building. Easy parking right out front. Eamon and Caleb both provided wonderful service and gave us lots of info about what to do around Livingston and Emigrant because we were going to a show at the Old Saloon and had never been. Their cocktails are made from scratch and they actually make an espresso martini from a REAL ESPRESSO machine and they house made juices and mixers for their drinks. We got the Roasted Garlic and Fungi Wood Fired Pizza and the pickle fries with spicy ranch were amazing. You gotta come here and check it out. :) Cheers! xx

Google
I would highly recommend this place to anyone who loves a good atmosphere and positive vibes I would recommend the hot Hawaiian or the Greek lamb pizza They are the best by far and are welcoming a genuinely great place to hangout gluten free options for any vegans as well don't worry. And the pastries are to die for also make sure you say to Chelsea she's the best employee yet great customer service she can help with anything you need.

Google
This place did not disappoint. The only thing that was not good was the wait. After placing our order, having to suffer watching all the amazing dishes pass by made me want to try each one. I don't know if I've ever had a traditional cubian, but I would hope it would taste like theirs. My wife had an amazing burger with REAL sweet potato fries ( not yam fries).

Yelp
Cute little spot in Livingston. Cozy, industrial ambiance brightened with live green plants. We put in a to go order for "The Gourd" pizza and twice baked potato soup special. Friendly service, it took a little while ~25mins since the wood oven pizza is fresh, made to order. The pizza tasted fresh with interesting toppings: butternut squash, sweet potato, bacon bits, whole roasted garlic, arugula on a thin crusted white based sauce, drizzled with hot honey. It's a 12" shareable pizza -- ended up surprisingly enjoying this pizza with the unique ingredients. The twice baked potato soup is a winner, hearty and delicious!

Yelp
Has a Nee York deli vibe with local Montana flare. The food is so good and the service was amazing even though they were so busy. We will be back!

Yelp
The place was full for a Monday evening so we were lucky to find a large table that accommodated our party of 7. The server came by with our menus and directed us to where we can get our own water. We ordered a couple of pizzas, sandwiches, steak frita, and chicken parmesan. The pizza was great; toppings, the dough. I would highly recommend getting pizza. My friend loved her steak fritas. According to her, the salad was the best - whatever they added to it gave it a delicious flavor. The fries were crispy and just as good. Our server was nice but never asked us if we wanted refills on our drinks. She didn't rush us to leave but seemed to stop 'serving' us and just came by to take the plates away.

Yelp
Pizza! Both of the pizzas we ordered were amazing! Flat bread style cooked to perfection with just a bit of burned bubbles, which I love! This place has a funky, old west, mountain vibe that is so perfect when visiting Livingston, Montana! Where is Livingston? You'll need to google it! Come! Eat! Drink! Enjoy!

Yelp
Amazing carrot ginger soup, wood fired pizza , We also ordered deserts and gelato. Having spent four days inside Yellowstone , this concludes the trip as our highlight !

Yelp
Traveling through the area and Gil's popped up as a good option for pizza. It didn't disappoint! We tried roasted garlic, artichoke, and fungi and all were good! Service was prompt and she checked on us regularly. There was a live band so the place was packed but their quality held up just fine. We'll definitely go back when we get a chance.

Yelp
I fell in love with falafels when I traveled in Israel years ago. I haven't found many good ones in the US, but Gill's has absolutely nailed it. Everything about that plate was delicious including the sweet potato fries, which were crisped to perfection yet meaty inside. Oh yes, the huckleberry unsweetened tea was also a tasty treat. Hubby had the generous BLT & said his French fries were also crisped to perfection. (And he's a french fry connoisseur!) Two thumbs up, Gil!

Jean B.

Yelp
The food was delicious. Pizza wings salad and steak frites which was so good we came back the next day. However the service was not good either time. Took forever to order. Food was delivered and no silverware Had to track down someone which took 10 minutes. Still no drinks. Paying was 15 minutes. Good food and atmosphere but lousy service.

Isabel M.

Yelp
The food was great, very delicious. The service was very friendly although they did forget I ordered a lemonade but quickly brought me one. The ambiance was nice, very much so a bar, it's mildly confusing on where to sit down and eat. But overall I recommend eating here.

Damian M.

Yelp
What a killer local spot. All our local friends said to give Gil's a try and they were right. Cool restaurant with some character and great food. We're coming back to try the pizza, which I heard was great. They looked and smelled delicious Nice servers as well.

Sasha E.

Yelp
Amazing! This restaurant was jam packed with people in search of yummy food. And the Parlor delivered it. We are out of towners and this place truly lived up to our expectations. The thin and airy crust was scrumptious. Not to mention, the local root beer was to die for. My significant other & I know we will be craving it when we're back home. Speedy service even with a packed house. There are two sides of the restaurant, one is a bit noisier with a large bar and the other is quieter with a nice view of the train. A gem in the city of Livingston.

Yelp
We loved this place.after hiking and camping we decided to treat ourselves and this place was great! Delicious food and drinks. Next time up here we will run in!!

Heidi P.

Yelp
Always tasty sandwiches and addictive pizza. Baked goods are amazing! My Livingston go to!

Kristy P.

Yelp
I really enjoyed my meal , I had the Gil's supreme pizza it was delicious, the service was great it was atmospheric, highly recommend this place

Amy L.

Yelp
This place has a good vibe and not surprising that I was busy. As a party of five, we luckily were able to squish together at a bar table but if we had come later, I believe it would've been an hour wait. The pizzas I ordered was large enough to serve 1-2 person. It was not greasy and had a good ratio of toppings to crust.

Ali M.

Yelp
Best pizza ever! We were at the Murray bar and decided to have some pizza. Highly recommend it!!

Mike B.

Yelp
Like the atmosphere and it's always good food when we come here. The pizza is pretty great, and enjoy their sandwiches.

Jess B.

Yelp
Great vibe and options for those who want to sit at the Murray bar (table service) or grab counter style. Serves lots of options - from pizzas to salads to burgers to great baked goods and desserts. The vibe was laid back and lots of people moving in and out ordering lots of different lunch options. Unfortunately I can't rate them any higher because 1) their prices are pretty high for counter service ($20 for a burger with fries) and because we received a raw burger, which I believed was because the patty was still frozen (outside well done and completely raw interior). When we sent it back, we got the same burger back and sadly it still came back raw and non-editable. Simply, that shouldn't happen, but especially at that price. Hoping it was just a one time mistake and that I can update my review next time I'm in town!

Steven S.

Yelp
Don't let the stars fool ya. The food here is really good! I mean one of the best burgers and funny enough pizza's in town. Wood oven cooked pizza's with yummy fresh toppings. A good size burger cooked perfect. Really one of the better food places in Livingston. The stars are that is isn't open more then 3 days a week. And closes so early on those days. But that is part of this small town. So I do recommend it for the food! Just you have to time it right.

Veronica R.

Yelp
Had the Greek salad and some pizza. I didn't love the falafel but we liked everything else. Good food!

Larry W.

Yelp
Not good..overpriced, heavy on spices to compensate for poor quality of meat/produce from inferior vendors. Staffed by incompetent, slow teenagers. Atmosphere is utterly bizarre. Grown men cooking food with glitter on the faces. Over abundance of rainbow flags (we get it) and men servers in pink hot pants so tight it looks like they are smuggling grapes. Not what I want my kids subjected to during a family outing.

Michelle D.

Yelp
Our experience at Gil's was great, our server Sage was fantastic and the food was delicious!

Jeremy N.

Yelp
I'm giving Gil's four stars because they were so dang it convenient and accommodating and the only pizza in town that was open. The food was a bit overpriced but given the circumstances we live in nowadays it wasn't too bad. We ordered two pizzas but we had a half an hour drive to to get back to our air b&b so we didn't want to get hot pizzas. so they made them taken and bake for us. When we realized how small they were (12") we had to order a third one because my brother is giant. The pizzas were actually quite delicious, just popped them in the oven at 500 for like eight minutes and they were ready to go. Most of the stuff on the menu is on fancier side of pizza and we had to dump them down to Pizza Hut level stuff again "fat brother". But the ingredients were so fresh, everyone was happy.

Kay M.

Yelp
Love this place, great food and beer selection since it's "attached" to The Murray. The chicken sandwich is the best around. The only complaint I have is their hours blow, big time. They are closed 3 days out of the week and somehow that always falls on days when I have family or friends over and want to take them somewhere good. Was hoping with summer they would possibly expand their hours like most other places. Hope they do!

Stan M.

Yelp
Myself and three others ate here tonight. Not a fancy place, but a place where it appeared locals liked. We had the flautas and two pizzas. All were very good. Good selection of beer, also. We all really liked the classic rock music being played. Definitely recommend.

Tom B.

Yelp
Was walking around after a day of fishing and thought I would give it a try I normally don't eat pizza unless it's a pizza shop or Italian restaurant. I was really surprised how good the wood fired pizza was. Closed Monday n Tuesday

Anna D.

Yelp
This place has AMAZING food! The deluxe pizza and the margarita pizza is definitely worth the wait!!!

Kate N.

Yelp
Delicious pizza!!! Great service. Very friendly. Only approx. 30 mins outside the park.

Alan D.

Yelp
Pizza was good and beer was cold. However the service was slow and prices seemed rather high for this type of restaurant.

Yelp
Let's go to Livingston, MT for lunch! Oh the spontaneity of roadtrips... sometimes it takes us to really weird places and sometimes to really good and delicious places like this. We stayed at Grant Village campground in Yellowstone and took a day trip to Mammoth Hot Springs and Roosevelt Arch and decided to drive out a little more in Montana. About a 45 minute drive from the Yellowstone entrance is this small town. So much good vibes all around. The buildings have so much character with the backdrop of the mountains, it's like a post card. We were walking around in the rain and decided to have lunch at Gil's Goods. YES and all kinds of YES! We were eating camp food for the past 2 days and just needed something filling, flavorful, and hearty... this was the perfect place. The restaurant is connected to the bar next door and they also share the menu? Not sure. But the pastry case looked so beautiful with all their baked goods. People were stopping buy just to buy fresh baked bread, loaves and baguettes. Order at the counter and they give you this really unique vase with a monkey or different animals in place of a number. We ended up ordering from the CLUCK menu... later on we found out that this was actually the restaurant next door, but under the same establishment. They delivered the food to our table. $12 for the two birds combo. Pretty much half a rotisserie chicken and two sides. Let me tell you, this was huge... servings are generous enough we took half to go and had it for dinner at camp. We each got one combo and tried their coleslaw, the mac and cheese (YUM!), and the corn bread (so good!). Also tried their sweet tea. I'd order those again. Service was great. 5 stars for the cozy yet hip ambiance. I just love the vibe of this place just as much as I love their food. I don't know if I'll find myself back in Livingston again... but if you're in the area, give it a try!

Nick Y.

Yelp
Came here with high hopes after the other yelp reviews but was VERY disappointing. Our Food took an hour and we had to ask the kitchen what happened bc the bartender somehow never noticed. We ask the kitchen and they lost the order or forgot it or something they said, so an hour later we get two honestly average burgers. For $18 the burger needs more than 3 toppings like what's that about? Also nearly broke my tooth on a huge chunk of bone in the meat. For $18 I shouldn't have to sacrifice my teeth on bone. Hopefully Gil's can sort it out for others but we won't be giving it another shot after this.

Sarah L.

Yelp
I love Gil's Goods, they have the best Margaritas and pizza! Their menu is good because you can get a veggie burger or a salad, they have to Taquitos that are amazing. They make really good French fries! This is a good local hangout spot.

Dana M.

Yelp
I have been through Livingston quite a few times over the past years. My sister recently moved there from Bozeman. Every time I go through town I stop at Gil's. This visit I stopped by twice- both times I ate at Murray's which serves their food. The service and the food was all amazing- I had a caesar salad, gluten free pizza and we tried many of the desserts. Not only does this place have a very comfortable feel but the food is so delicious! Treat yourself! You will not be disappointed!!

Jennifer H.

Yelp
We plan our road trip around getting breakfast here. The croissant sandwich and a cup of coffee can fuel you for hours. Can't wait until we can be on the road again, just to stop here.

Biesus C.

Yelp
I ordered the Buffalo Pizza, to pick up half an hour later. When I arrived, 2 minutes before the pick up time, my pizza was already in a box. When I check checked out, I was charged $1 more for the box. Good parts. The dough is nice, it was cooked nicely, onion & yellow & red peppers are nice. Bad parts. The chicken is really dry, tastes reheated. The sauce on top tastes like Franks buffalo sauce. Can't really taste the blue cheese. I won't order this pizza again.

Tyson H.

Yelp
Overpriced tourist crap. Bad service. Decent food. Keep driving, this place is not worth a stop.

Rachael S.

Yelp
We stopped in here on a whim and score--so good! This is a great local joint with tasty food and good service. With things how they are now, they set up to be able to do take out, or you can order and grab a seat. They also have a full bar. I ordered the Nashville Chicken Sandwich--if you can handle spice, try it! The chicken was fried just right and the toppings complimented the overall sandwich. After getting our food the owner came and introduced himself. He grew up in Southern France (if I remember correctly) and somehow ended up here. Some menu options are inspired by his cultural experience and are both unique and amazing options. It was neat talking with him and hearing the creative measures they have taken with Covid-19 going on. Highly recommend this place if you're in Livingston or looking for a reason to grab a bite outside of Bozeman. I'll be coming back for sure!

Kathy N.

Yelp
Gil's is our go-to in Livingston! Always good food and service. Pizzas are awesome! We like the BBQ chicken and Hot Hawaiian. The Eclairs and bakery case get us every time.

Michael C.

Yelp
This was our dinner stop in Livingston while on our way to Bozeman to catch our flights. I quite like how they open the doors to the bar connected next door and the servers basically brings out the food with the animal flower vase. We arrived around 7PM on a week night and the place was quite busy. However after getting our orders in by the counter the food came out quite fast actually with only maybe 10 min wait at most. They have a pretty nice selection of burger and sandwichs and I didn't feel like their fried food were that greasy and oily My personal favorite is the BLT sandwich that I got as a take out, very crispy and thick cuts of bacon and soft breads. The steak was nicely cooked just wish the portion was a bit bigger. Very clean and fast service and definitely appreciate the more fast food/casual dining experience with some good quality foods. A very good choice for some quick dining options.

Amanda E.

Yelp
We have been here numerous times and we love their pizzas! Just be prepared to wait... service is always slow.

Russell G.

Yelp
I love this place. I frequently drive 30 minutes from Big Timber just to enjoy their cappuccino and fresh-baked goods. Very comfortable place to sit and eat/visit, either in Gil's or in the adjacent Murray Bar. Try the pizza also.

Pam R.

Yelp
We arrived in Livingston famished! Gil's was just down the street from our Airbnb so we headed there! The wood fire pizza was delicious and they had locally brewed beers, which was a bonus. The berry shortcake in the case looked amazing and we planned to come back to get some, but they were closed Monday and Tuesday and we left too early on Wednesday.

Thiago D.

Yelp
My wife and I visited on a Saturday night (Oct, 10th). We both had a burger with a salad as a side. For our surprise the salad came with the burger on the Same plate. Not a big deal but I've always had my salad as a side dish coming before the main dish (burger in this case) by the time I finished the salad the burger wasn't as hot and fresh. (That's not a big deal once again) What bothered me was our server. There was a game on TV and the server was way more interesting in watching the game than helping us. I had to ask refill for another server since our server forgot we had asked for refills and was just standing by the tv watching the football game.

A. S.

Yelp
We went here twice in a week. The hubby got the Brisket sandwich both times. I got the BBQ chicken pizza and the grilled ham and cheese the second time. Everything was great. The wait can be a little long even when the restaurant isn't full so I'd call ahead if you need a quick in and out.

Holly H.

Yelp
I had breakfast here with my family and some friends on Saturday, 10/8/16. We were seated pretty quickly, even though we had to put our own tables together. The breakfast menu was small, but what is on there was definitely done right. I had the Huevos Rancheros with hash browns. When it arrived I was a tad overwhelmed. I dived in and was not disappointed. There is a lot going on with this dish, but all the ingredients worked very well together. I got to try a bite of the Bacon egg and cheese sandwich, and eggs and grits. The biscuit for the sandwich was one of the best I've ever had. The grits were also good, but not my usual fair. The seating was not comfortable. It was metal bar stools with no back support. Blargh! Also, our server was very unknowledgeable, forgot food that had been ordered, left the table before obtaining everyone's order, and spilled food on my brother's shorts as she was clearing away dishes....and didn't apologize! So, the food is good, but take the other items into consideration.

Veronica L.

Yelp
Solidly good food at a busy place. This was our first stop in Livingston and it didn't disappoint. Great drinks and sandwiches. We'll be back for sure!

Sarah G.

Yelp
A unique cafe with a small-town feel. They have homemade pastries and lots of specialty coffee options. Fast and friendly service. We are from out of state so stepping out and seeing the snow-covered mountains as a backdrop is breathtaking. I like that they make their food from scratch using local suppliers.

Melissa B.

Yelp
Food is a 4 out of 10. Staff and kitchen were very slow. Place seemed disorganized. and Dirty. Waited forever to order and to get a beer from the bar. You have to get your own water. Blazing hot inside - zero ventilation. Expensive for McDonald's average food.

Paul B.

Yelp
After a long day at Yellowstone, we headed up to Livingston MT looking for a place to get pizza. This place sounded great and didn't let us down. Luckily we got a table in the bar, place was packed, and immediately greeted. Drinks came quickly and great local beer. Place had great vibes and when the pizza came it was perfect. This would be one of our favorite places in local. Stop in you won't be disappointed.
