Ginganga Lodge, Galle

Wonderful stay at Ginganga Lodge. The team is thoughtful, always available, and incredibly accommodating, you quickly feel at home, supported without ever feeling overwhelmed. Everything feels easy with them, which makes a real difference. The lodge is truly immersive: you live at the rhythm of the jungle, right down to the outdoor bathrooms. Monkeys passing by, unexpected wildlife, nature everywhere, you have to be ready for it, but that’s also part of the charm. The food was very good. Special mention to the owner and a member of the team who took the time to show us around the area for a full day. A genuine sense of generosity. We highly recommend the place and would happily return.

Thee best room of our trip so far. Very spacious and luxurious. Aircon works a treat. Amazing surroundings. Outside of the busier touristy areas you’ll find closer to the Galle Fort. Service and food was amazing. Recommend trying their vanilla milkshake! Offer safe and reliable Tuk tuk services, boat rides, massage, bicycle rides etc. WiFi no issues. Pool is lovely as is the decor. Would recommend to anyone.

How is this place even real? We stayed 3 days and had the most amazing time. It is the perfect place to relax in nature, galle fort is only 8 min tuk tuk ride. The staff is super helpful and makes you feel at home. No ask feels too much. The whole place and rooms were a 10/10.

This is one of the nicest places I have stayed at in all my travels . It was the best place we stayed at travelling in Sri Lanka for 3 weeks and is exceptional value for money . The food is incredible and so beautifully presented. The staff are so helpful and friendly . The rooms are just beautiful and very clean. It is a very calming peaceful place and would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone having any doubts thank you guys (Mike & Mechelle ) 😊

Our stay at Gianganga Lodge was a beautiful experience. The rooms and entire hotel are lovely designed and the staff is very friendly. Great food for good value. Would recommend to anyone to relax and enjoy the beautiful nature.

Our favourite stay in all of Sri Lanka. Quick Tuk Tuk ride to the Fort but secluded enough for perfect relaxation. The staff were so welcoming and friendly, it was hard to leave after 3 days. Thank you to the team for making our vacation unforgettable. Will return.

My stay at Ginganga Lodge was a little different from most guests, as I was unfortunately very unwell during my entire visit to Galle. However, I couldn’t have been in a better place. Every single member of the Ginganga Lodge team went above and beyond to look after me — I honestly received better care than I would have at home. Beyond that, the lodge itself is one of the most peaceful and beautiful places I’ve ever stayed. It’s surrounded by lush greenery and wildlife, with a river running behind the property where they can arrange a wonderful boat tour. The guide was fantastic, and we saw incredible wildlife including monkeys, water monitors, bats, snakes, and kingfishers. The owners have created something truly special here, and their passion and ethos clearly shine through in the entire team. I’ve travelled to many countries and stayed in all kinds of accommodations, but Ginganga Lodge is easily one of the best places I’ve ever been. Thank you to the whole team for everything! 😊

One of the best places I ever stayed in, not only in Sri Lanka. From the general level of the facilities and beautiful design, through an amazing dinning, to the smallest details and treatment - Ginganga lodge is a top level of hospitality experience! Worth coming to Sri Lanka just to stay here...
