The service at Ginger Garden was fast and efficient, but it was also emotionless and unwelcoming, kinda like the "Soup Naz* episode from the legendary Seinfeld TV show. My wife and I have both been looking for a decent, family-owned Chinese restaurant since our favorite spot, Iron-Chef, stopped making quality asian cuisine. We had heard great things about Ginger Garden on Go Gilbert, so we decided to give it a try. My wife and I have lived here in the Gilbert area for over 20 years. My wife is from NYC, and I'm from California, and we both enjoy dining out on the weekend, and trust me when I say we know really good Chinese food.....unfortunately, this wasn't it. We got pork fried rice, chow fun, a classic Cantonese dish, and egg drop soup. The entire order was under $50 with a "to-go" tip.... The portion size was decent enough; however, the proteins and veggies were overcooked, extremely bland, and had very little authentic Asian flavor or spice. The food is OK, but hardly worth the price.... 2.5 out of 5 Stars.
