a lovely cocktail and coffee bar, with a wide selection of gin-based drinks, both classic and with a twist. espresso amado, raspble, stout old fashioned were delicious cocktails. service is friendly and the atmosphere is artsy with chilled vibes. got to listen to some MJ, Aerosmith mixes after a long while... an interesting find on Graz! make a reservation if cocktails is your thing when traveling!

I’d like to thank the bartenders and staff for their kindness and professionalism during my visit. They were attentive and supportive, which I greatly appreciated. Unfortunately, my experience was overshadowed by a distressing encounter and the lack of response from management. In a bar that celebrates Asian culture, you wouldn’t expect to hear comments like, “Go back to China.” Yet, as a guest, I was subjected to open racial insults and harassment from other patrons. When I approached the manager for assistance, he listened but took no action to address the aggressive individuals, leaving me feeling vulnerable and unprotected. In 2024, no one should have to face this kind of racial hostility without immediate action from management. A bar should be a safe and respectful space for everyone, especially in a setting that claims to honor cultural diversity. No amount of friendly service or quality drinks can make up for a failure to protect guests. As a foreigner—and simply as a human being—I cannot recommend this bar to anyone who values respect and safety. P.S. Asia isn’t just China—though I love it too. And to the “racist hecklers” out there: Kazakhstan ≠ Afghanistan. Maybe now, for anyone planning to visit, it’ll be even clearer just how offensive the slurs thrown at us were—especially when someone managed to include them even in a review. And if offensive remarks, biased treatment, and a disregard for other cultures are acceptable at this establishment, my dear foreign friends, you’d be better off looking elsewhere. No one should have to pay to be disrespected.

Graz is a very.nice city. Well maintained old town, plenty of fancy bars, restaurants, cosy Caffes. Ginger Bar is one of such places. Ideal to taste the city’s vibe and good gin cocktails. But not only bottles with gin are hanging from the ceiling, you can try other fancy drinks and the very nice bar team would help you in selection and would made them as you like. Visit Graz and go to that bar!

I was at this establishment yesterday and witnessed a troubling incident where some customers faced negative treatment from others purely based on their nationality. Disturbingly, the management did nothing to address or de-escalate the situation. As an international student, I find this lack of action and support unacceptable and concerning. In a space that should be welcoming to everyone, I expect the staff to take a stand against such behavior, ensuring a respectful and inclusive environment for all.

To all international friends: please don’t go to this place anymore. Tonight we experienced racism from 2 guests as we were sitting by the bar. We look Asian, however we are not Chinese ( and nothing is wrong with being Chinese) 2 guests started making racist making racists remarks as how they would like to go eat Chinese food and speak mandarin whilst looking at our faces ( and waiting for our reactions). As ( unfortunately) experienced with racism we decided it was best to ignore them. After a while the attacks were physical!!!! When the racist woman leaned on my friend, pretending not to know. We also decided to ignore this, but she kept on pushing further. She was almost laying on my friend. That’s when we snapped and ASKED! Not yelled her to stop. But she didn’t. She started yelling at us to go back to china and Chinese people were not welcome here. Thank God the barkeepers tried to intervene and asked them to stop. My friend approached the chef of the place, he listened to her, then I approached him, he listened to me, yet his reaction was he has to listen to both sides first. How can someone who lived in the past in an Asian country and who inspired with the Asian culture say something like that? Besides that, what exactly would two Asian women win if they started a racist argument in an Austrian bar in an Austrian city ? I was more hurt by the reaction of the owner of the place, who would appropriate the Asian culture but wouldnt consider to help the two Asian women who asked them for help! Would react the way that he did. Yes, he did speak with them, yes those racists left after, but the reaction was not immediate and in my opinion not sincere. The chef apologised later in the end and said he should have reacted another way and he is sorry but what exactly does it help me in the situation? After I tell you that I’m not comfortable drinking expensive drinks and being attacked by racists in the same time? I’m only happy with how the two male barkeepers reacted. Thank you from the bottom of my heart

One of the best bars in the city, the building used to be a brothel and they renovated it into a super cool space with beautiful art. They have tons of different drinks, we like to order a different one every time we come here

Staff didn't do anything to protect the guests who got verbally and physically abused on the basis of their nationality and it is unacceptable.

The atmosphere and drinks were great, but unfortunately, there was a chewed gum in the popcorn cup, which left us with a bad memory.
