The owner was very kind and helpful with my luggage needs. There’s also a tax refund upon purchase. Good thing they’re open until 1AM for my last minute packing needs. The luggage survived without damage from Tokyo-Hong Kong- Manila flight. Will really recommend especially for tourists.

I needed to buy luggage at like 12am and this was the only store open other than maybe don Quijote on google maps. Very nice and helpful staff, speaks english perfectly fine. Recommended me good Japanese luggage brand and this pretty color was on sale. there are variety of price ranges from cheap to high end. Highly recommend!

I bought the cheapest one at this shop. Only 7000 yen . It's is her own Ginza Karen brand. Some made in Japan are over 20000 and over my budget. After a long walking with the suitcase, from Ginza to Ueno( 阿美横丁)then back to Shinjuku hotel. When we fly back home, the suitcase looks good and durable. I recommend everyone if wanted to buy a new suitcase, Ginza Karen is a best choice. The sales guys are good and can answer all my questions. He can also spoke good English.

This is not the cheapest place to buy a suitcase but the prices are really reasonable. They are open late and will help you dispose of your old suitcase (it cost me 500 yen, compared to my hotel which wanted to charge me 2000 yen). Also if you are a tourist bring your passport to make your purchase tax-free. RIP red carry-on, we did 14 countries together and had some amazing adventures, you will be missed. 🥹

Awesome place for getting 2nd suitcase for all the gifts and kitkats. Has brand names and all however her own brand of luggage is super worth it. They are better than some suitcases I've used over the years. The shop is packed with suitcases. Does tax free and no hassle. They give good honest review on the suitcases. So don't be afraid to ask.

Great quality suitcases which are better value than other stores. It is easy to pay tax free and a free recycling service is offered for broken suitcases. This store is located very close to the metro station which is super convenient.

This place is legit. I read about them on Reddit somewhere and decided to check them out after my cheapy luggage decided to give up on me literally right after arriving in Tokyo.... I heard this place has some of the cheapest. They were right. Price is super competitive comparing to places like big name department stores and Don Quijote. We were super lucky to have arrived during their "break time" where they were busy unpacking a new shipment of Japan made luggages. We got right in line behind a Canadian dude~yep, I even made a friend in line lol. Anyway, 30 minutes later, line was like 15 deep and we filed into the store. Theres no time to ooh and ahh over what you want. Basically its first come first serve. You see, you grab, you buy. Theres not a whole lot of choices, but enough to go around---you just might not get first dibs on the color. A great place to check out if you bought too much junk in Japan. Trusttt. Also, they open very late~check their google.

If you are in the area of Ginza Prefecture, I suggest putting this in your bucket list if your luggage is the verge of retiring like physically about to fall apart. LOL! Reason being, its the most highest quality you can purchase with the most affordable price and is non-taxed if you are a foreigner like me by providing your physical passport showing that you arrive recently. Price of luggage for either carry-on size or check-in size starts at ¥6,600. Pros: -Plenty of selection to choose from at a reasonable cost. Price of luggage(s) starts at ¥6,600 ~ $48 for either carry-on or check-in luggage sizes. -If you want the highest of the highest quality if that makes any sense, then luggage starts starts at ¥15,000 ~ $110. Cons: -None at the moment. Lastly, now why are luggage(s) in the United States of America so expensive!!!? Omgahhh... I was even price comparison checking at USA Amazon, and it is still cheaper to purchase luggage here at Ginza Karen for the same style which is about 50% off the cost. Anyways I bought 1 carry-on luggage here and 1 check-in luggage for a total of ¥30,000 with the no tax added which dropped down to ¥27,000 ~ $198. Now that's dang cheap compared to paying almost $400-$600 with tax in the States for two good quality luggage that'll last me at least a life time and is made in Japan. Man, it's so dang good to be a tourist in Japan. **Wink wink** ;) All the Japanese exclusive Snacks!!! Say less, you got me sold. Namm sayinn.. LOL! Hours of Operation: Mon-Sun: 1000-1900. Japanese Holiday hours may vary. They accept: ¥en & any credit/debit card.

There was a great selection of suit cases. The hours are great if you find yourself last minute needing another bag because you bought too much on your trip. We went at 9pm -and it was still quite busy but the owners were very friendly. Better prices than Don Quixote!

It was close to 10pm when we realized we bought way to many nice items in Tokyo and needed a luggage to carry it all back. Yelp stated the shop was open to 1am, which left us with our only option. The gentlemen at the shop was very helpful and informative, even knowing the weight limits per airline/country you're traveling too. They have luggage of all sizes and all budgets. If you're leaving next day and need baggage in a hurry, visit them! We visited the Nihonbashi location. We first went to the Ginza location but found it was closed no longer there.

You must go here if you need last minute cheap, big luggage. i bought one big luggage for 6000 yen, about $42. Compare that to Don Quixote luggage for 9900 yen. Not sure how it will hold up over the years but adequate for my current need to checkin all the crazy knickknacks i bought. The store is located in a quiet neighborhood.

Ginza Karen is well know for travelers to get solid suitcases and backpacks at affordable prices. On a recommendation I went to get a second suitcase. The store is run by two people both of whom are attentive and efficient in their showcasing items. The young lady who helped us took time to show me the suitcase and all its bells and whistles. I bought a 24in and it handled the return trip through metro to hotel and my trip back to US. Price was amazing given the currency exchange. I would return.

We bought the Ginza Karen brand 28 inches luggage ( largest size) for 7000 yen ( approximately $46 USD) after tax free instant reduction. Original price was 7700 yen so we got 10% off for tax free. Bring your passport with you to get the tax free. It's good quality especially for the low price. We knew exactly what we wanted so we were in and out in 5 minutes. Service from the young lady was excellent.

Service was excellent BUT the value is with the cheaper luggage under $150. We bought the "best" all aluminum check-in for $375 made in China and wished we had paid $500 for something better. All my luggage are either Tumi or Briggs & Riley so I'm used to a better fit and finish in terms of clasps, wheels, handles etc

We got an awesome suitcase here for a very fair price. The shop is small but there are high quality carry-on sizes and larger suitcases available. The owner is very nice and helpful, even put a protective plastic bag over our new suitcase since it was pouring rain. Highly recommend this shop
