Giò & Giò Venice Bed and Breakfast

From the moment Alessandro opened the door for us until the moment we left, everything was absolutely perfect! The room and bathroom are perfectly equipped, and the whole place smells amazing. The attention to detail in both decoration and cleanliness is outstanding — we couldn’t stop being impressed! We stayed for two nights, and the location was ideal for visiting all the main sights. In the morning, we enjoyed a wonderful breakfast with delicious local specialties — fresh cornetti and even homemade baked apples! The singing gondoliers nearby made the mornings even more special. In the evenings, after all the tourist hustle and bustle, we loved sitting in the cozy lounge, enjoying the calm atmosphere with a good book — pure relaxation! Alessandro is a fantastic host — super friendly, very knowledgeable about local Venice, and always up for a great conversation. We will definitely come back! Thank you, Alessandro, for making our stay truly unforgettable!

We stayed in the large apartment and it was amazing overlooking a small canal with the constant passing of gondolas and the opera house across the way. We could have stayed a week, but only had 2 nights. Alessandro was very accommodating and kind. The B&B was decorated like a fine small hotel and the apartment the same. The location was amazing, just steps from San Marco and all the restaurants and sites you would want to see. I have been to Venice many times and I would strongly recommend Gio & Gio.

We absolutely adored out time in Venice, thanks to this wonderful B&B! The location is perfect - a bit away from the busy crowds, close to the upscale shopping and a nearby water taxi stop. Alessandro was a superb host - so kind and helpful. He provided a contact for a private water taxi, which we used not only for our departure to the airport, but also for a trip to Burano. The rooms are gorgeous. We occupied all 3 rooms which allowed us space to retreat/unwind, but then visit as a family for breakfast. Sara prepared a lovely breakfast one morning (she was so sweet!) and Alessandro the other (thanks for starting a little early to accommodate our departure!) Breakfast included a spread of fresh pastries, fruits, yogurt/granola, cold cuts. Delicious coffee/espresso (which was also available in the rooms). There are small refrigerators if you wanted to utilize these during your stay. EXCELLENT A/C units. Great bathrooms (roomy showers, soaps/linens, hair dryer provided). Would have loved a robe, but otherwise it was perfect! Would highly recommend - just fantastic!

So lucky to have decided on this place.. Absolutely perfect location right in the middle of everything. Quiet. Clean. Great breakfast. Alessandro is a local and has a plethora of knowledge for local cuisine. Made our entire trip better. Thank you!!

Just got back from Venice having said at this B&B. Highly recommended it. Location was great as with room, continental breakfast and hospitality. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you Alessandro.

Our family of four enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Callegheri Apartment. The apartment was centrally located, clean, cool, and well appointed. The host was flexible and kind. Highly recommend!

If you go to Venezia, this is the place. A wonderful B&B, beautiful decorated, located walking distance to San Marco and Rialto, canal and gondolieri view (and sound :-)) and with a delicious breakfast. A separate note to Allessandro, who was in every detail, including an earlier breakfast as our train was departing early. Grazie mille! your argentinean visits.

Beautiful B&B, very central, delicious breakfast catering and a perfect customer service (Alessandro and a young woman). They were both excellent, very friendly, helpful, attentive and sweet. Alessandro shared with us a list with his favourite restaurants and bars and they were honestly wonderful. We truly had a great experience and made our holidays even better. Highly recommended!
