Yes, we were hungry. And yes, we were tired. But we are staying in one of the nicest hotels in town, and the concierge was kind enough to make sure they would take us on a quiet evening. Because of my food, allergies, we decided on an à la carte menu and it did not disappoint. The pasta was cooked to perfection. The fish was phenomenal. The meat was phenomenal. The service was phenomenal. The sommelier was one of the best I’ve ever encountered and picked a superb pairing of wine. We’ve had a good fortune to go to a lot of very good restaurants, including many bearing Michelin stars. This was its equal in every respect. And the views are incomparable. We sat on the water overlooking the grand Canal. What more can you ask for?

I absolutely LOVED my tasting menu and wine paring experience at Gio's. This was by far my favorite tasting menu experience of my 3 weeks in Italy in terms of the food, drinks, view, and value for the price. I loved every dish and small bite from the chef. One of the dishes was a red bell pepper dish, which I typically hate, and I thought it was delicious. Their plates are also very unique! I bought a bottle of their dessert wine pairing to take home from my trip. It was a bubbly wine and I typically hate bubbles, so that was a huge win for me! The wait staff and sommelier were friendly and attentive. Dine here and you will not be disappointed (:

We stayed a few nights at the St. Regis in Venice and this was their hotel restaurant… They serve an incredible dinner here! They also serve their amazing breakfast buffet here as well. The buffet is beautifully put together and laid out nicely, so it’s spread out and people can utilize it while not being on top of each other. Their offerings include cereals, the typical breakfast proteins, many breads and sweeter baked goods, full salad options, lots of juices, and other sides dishes. While staying there we also ordered breakfast mains from their menu which were all very good! Their pancakes were outstanding! Their avocado toast type breakfast was incredible, I ordered it twice! Service was always incredible, just like it is for the property overall! Venue is amazing with seating right along the Grand Canal. Highly recommend stopping in, but if coming for dinner, you must make reservations!

We had lunch here and did the tasting menu. Every course was exceptional. The setting is just beautiful opposite the Basilica Santa Maria. It felt like we were in a film. The staff were super professional, but not in a cold and snobby way like in some places. They were very attentive and personable. We tried a range of spritzes and cocktails throughout our meal, all of which were great! The only bad thing about booking lunch here is that it had to end. It's an expensive lunch but you really do get what you pay for. I'd definitely go again if we're back in Venice in the future.

We did the tasting menu because it’s the option that made the most sense (they force you to order two appetizers per person and there’s a €20 charge to share food ordered a la carte) Food had interesting textured but the flavors were off. The lobster paccheri was extremely salty and made me nauseous. They made a sign for my birthday, but the food was overpriced and not worth the money.

Beautiful spot at the Regis. Had breakfast here each day. Lots of pastry selections and fruits. Omelette was fresh and hot. Beautiful views of the church and canal. Service was top notch by Marcello and Anji. Well worth the 50 euro a person.

Stuffed and super happy with dinner at Gio’s. We were well taken care of by Veronica - who recommended the best local wine - and Thomas - who took such good care of us from start to finish. We had the tasting menu and we were so full by the end of it. Can’t decide on our favorite .. love the beautifully tender octopus as well as the pasta. Beautiful location, and top notch service and food.

The food was delicious. The dessert and drinks were also delightful. I had a specialty cocktail and was one of my Venice highlights. The location is great. The views are amazing. The only thing that lacked was the service. Some of the waiters, and I say waiters because we had several come to our table, were wonderful and checked on us a few times. Some of the other waiters weren't the best. We asked for a second drink to three different waiters and it didn't make it to our table. We had also asked if we can sit in the table next to us, but we were told it was reserved, no one came at all. There were two of us at this late lunch. I highly recommend making a reservation as it fills up and gets busy.
