Small portion of food. There was no noodles in my lasagna .Vodka pasta tasted like fish and was watery. Asked for no tomatoes on my salad and they didn’t do that. Block of garlic in my shrimp scampy. Egg plant Parmesan was dry. Atmosphere is to crowded

I recently visited Giovanni's Pizza and had a mixed experience. The pizza was really good, and the salad was also enjoyable. However, the wings were too big and tough for my liking. The place was quite crowded, which is understandable given its popularity, but I was disappointed that my order wasn't ready all at the same time. I was given my wings first and told to come back in 10 minutes for the pizza, which seemed inefficient.

We were here a few years ago & it was delicious. Last night, we had chicken parmasean. It was a very generous portion with plenty of spaghetti on the side. The side salad was big, and you get plenty of delicious garlic bread. The hostess was very nice & checked on us to see if we needed anything. She was great! This is the best dinner place in Mammoth Lakes!

Tobias Boelter

Google
The pizza is good. The wings got mixed reviews among my group, the salad is supermarket style and the pasta was pretty bad with barely any sauce and a funky taste.

Arlene Blair

Google
The pizza was good. Yes, it was greasy but full of flavor. It was even better cold the next day. My cocktail was not good, and the antipasto salad was overpriced for the large size. The waiter was not friendly and cold.

David Pluimer

Google
This super-solid pizza. Not just for Mammoth. But, for anywhere. Ample toppings and great cheese. Sauce is well-seasoned. My family all agreed - some of the best we've had anywhere.

Google
First off, the pizza was excellent. We had a thin crust veggie, a thin crust barbecue chicken and a small custom. I've marked the score down because we started with a large Greek salad, which consisted of a medium sized bowl of lettuce, 3 cherry tomatoes, 5 Kalamata olives, a sprinkle of small cubes Feta, a slice of red onion and a sprinkle of red peppers. Dressing on the side. This is NOT a Greek salad. Score of 1. Service was indifferent and the atmosphere is pizza parlor. We'd go back for the pizza but nothing else.

Google
Giovanni's in Mammoth generally seems like around good place. I can't comment on the atmosphere of the place since my order was Takeout but when I picked up, the place was bumpin' with a good vibe and energy (a Wed night, later winter). The service was helpful and friendly from the counter help to placing my order on the phone The food....a very good classy old style/traditional pizza with a good helping of toppings and cheese. G's was definitely better than another pizza place on the main drag in Mammoth. I would for sure reorder the next time I wanted a pizza in Mammoth 🦣

Yelp
Always amazing! Sandwiches, pasta salads cakes...mmmm never disappoints. This is our go to spot for subs when we get together with family for a day at the park or on the boat. Oooh can't forget the pickles either!

Stephanie O.

Yelp
Squeaked in just in time to order their lunch special to go on a winters day while exploring with my dog. My husband ordered the pizza special while I ordered the pasta special. At about $12.50/order there is a lot of food packed in for lunch to keep you going all day. The pasta was cooked perfectly, sauce was flavorful and had plenty of meat inside it, and the salad was a perfect balance for the pasta dish. The pizza was an easy favorite for both of us though. Perfectly cooked, with plenty of cheese and pepperonis.

James L.

Yelp
Ordered a thin crust sausage, mushrooms and onion pizza. Crust was thin and crispy, sauce was flavorful and plenty of cheese and toppings. Service was very good as well. Best pizza I have had in Mammoth.

Adrian M.

Yelp
Still has the great vibes I remember, and good food with generous portions. It was very busy for a early December Tuesday night!

Christopher S.

Yelp
Good spot to get some pizza at an affordable price. It's been around and it's not trying to be anything new or fancy. Located in the Vons parking lot, it's been around for a while. Pizza is affordable and so are the drinks. Service is nice as well if dining in. Good sports pizza, and affordable drinks. Can't complain after a day outdoors!

Carley R.

Yelp
We come for dinner every trip up to Mammoth. This isn't the fanciest place, but they have fantastic food and drinks. We always start with cheesy bread and some drinks. This time we got the meatzza and lasagna. The meatzza was delicious! The lasagna was a little watery, but we'll be back to try something different next time.

Bao P.

Yelp
Went here on the recommendation of someone on the slopes and was very pleasantly surprised. I got the lunch special and got a lot more food than I expected. Be aware they have a lunch and dinner opening/closing split.

Samantha C.

Yelp
We went to Mammoth for a weekend and decided to get some pizza near our cabin. Johnny's - white sauce, tomato, spinach, chicken, breakfast bacon, mozzarella Overall, really solid pizza. I liked how it didn't taste too oily and heavy. Meatzza - spicy sauce, pepperoni, sausage, Canadian bacon, breakfast bacon, mozzarella I liked this one better of the two. Even though the Johnny's looked better, the meatzza stole a pizza my heart. For two pizzas, it was around $70 so it is on the pricier side. The pizza is better than most and I would assume most restaurants around the area are at that price point anyway. Would I come back? Yeah!

Yelp
Giovanni's is an Italian restaurant in Mammoth Lakes near Old Mammoth Road and Meridian Blvd. You can eat inside or take your food to-go. There is free parking in the lot in front of the entrance. You can find it in the same lot as Von's. The staff was nice and gave us quick service. I would come back here again. For food, they serve various different pizza, pastas and salad options. They have 4 different pizza size options (small, medium, large, mammoth). I enjoyed the pizza, but did not like the pasta very much. For pasta, you can make your own spaghetti, fettuccine or penne with marinara, vodka, pesto, bolognese, etc. sauce.

Beth S.

Yelp
We stumbled into this place after a very beautiful ride down from South Lake Tahoe, we were hungry and pretty tired. Our hosts at our Airbnb left a QR code near the front door with all of their "Favorite Local Spots". Giovanni's was #1 on their list. The first thing that truly stands out from everything else was the friendliness and kindness our server displayed. What a lovely woman! I believe her name was Wendy. She was not only super cool to us, but each table she attended to. We had a cocktail to start, then I had Shrimp Scampi with the minestrone soup, my husband had the Salmon with the Caesar salad. Everything was STELLAR. It was a very modest and comfortable vibe in the restaurant and they were in the Vons market mall, nothing fancy, however the food was delicious and the flavors really sang. Great job Giovanni's!!!

Chinh B.

Yelp
Always a great place for dinner. Pizzas and antipasto Salad are winners! Service is hit or miss depending on who you get...but don't let that stop you from going there.

Todd D.

Yelp
We heard this was a great place to get pizza and other Italian food in Mammoth Lakes. Indeed there was a line waiting outside for them to open for dinner service. We ordered a large pizza with sausage, Canadian bacon, mushrooms, pineapple, and jalapeños. My half had the pineapple. Initially it looked good but it was soggy and the crust was limp and poorly cooked. I found out they use an oven with a conveyor rack. Its possible the cook slopped the pineapple right out of the can with a bunch of juice. Anyway, we were hungry from a long day of traveling and ate it. We pointed this out to our server who's only suggestion was "maybe next time ask for a well done pizza, we can cook it longer, we can do that". So 2 stars for the beer as it was delicious, but would have been 3 if it didn't take 10 minutes to get.

Judy Z.

Yelp
Do yourself a favor and eat in. The food is so much better than taking it to go. I've done both. I had my birthday dinner there and loved it. The service was great and so was the food. Ambiance is what you'd expect of a pizzeria. They have a sports bar section and a separate restaurant section. Minestrone soup was delicious as well as the Greek salad and Hawaiian pizza. Enjoy!

Carol D.

Yelp
I have always loved coming to Giovanni's But today...I will not be back. I ordered the pizza which was absolutely terrible...swimming in oily sauce As soon as the server put it down, I could tell it was awful, but I didn't have the heart to send it back

Josie C.

Yelp
We have been coming to Mammoth for years . We always order pizza from them it's always delicious. We were bummed they no longer deliver but oh well we drove over and got our pizzas . They made one wrong and luckily we checked before we left with it they remade it . The Gios pizza is my favorite. I am gf now so this year I didn't have pizza I see they offer gf crust but it's not made in house so I knew it would be the think cracker type . Everyone else loved their pizza last night !

Emily L.

Yelp
Giovanni's is a really nice family friendly restaurant! There are plenty of pizza and pasta options to choose from. We tried the oriental pizza and it was pretty good; very flavorful and having shrimp on pizza was so unique and I liked it a lot. The pasta we tried was the Alfredo, it was nice and creamy but very very simple and the portion was not that big. However, it did come with garlic bread, soup, and salad which made it worth it. Service was good too! Overall it's a good place to stop by in mammoth and the parking is nice because it's not as crowded as mammoth village.

Michelle L.

Yelp
This is a local place for some of the best classic Italian dishes, such as antipasto salad, raviolis, and of course PIZZA!! Enjoy a family style restaurant every time you come to Mammoth Lakes.

Rostam Z.

Yelp
Pretty good for Mammoth. Pizza is extremely heavy and greasy but tasty. They cook the crust well done but due to the heavy cheese snd toppings, it still ends up a bit floppy and pretty sloppy in the sense that toppings will slide off. Antipasto Italiana salad is fantastic and definitely worth getting!

Amy T.

Yelp
Usually our go to place to eat for pizza in mammoth. My husband and I have dined in and have taken to go orders a few times but this previous visit we had a bigger party. It's nice that they accommodate big groups. We got to explore more of the entree items. The truffle mushroom ravioli was filled with flavor, bonus points for being able to choose the sauce for it too. Pesto will always be my number one. The pizzas came out hot. Salads and soups were pretty average. Service started great but as the dinner crowd started rushing in, they missed out on the most important part of the meal... the garlic bread. So when I pointed it out they just bunched it all in some foil and rushed us out...

Yelp
My son is crazy about Chicken Parmigiana. So, needless to say, I have seen many Chickens Parmigiana dishes during the past many years. And this one is near the top if not the top. My son is doing a job on it and he wouldn't let me have any. But the way he is eating it is an indication. We asked for delivery and it was here right on time. So I haven't seen the actual store yet. Then here is my wife. She orders a Veggie Pizza. Most restaurants don't know how to make a veggie pizza. Generally the veggies are raw and though. But not this one according to my wife. I wished I could have a slice, but to my high weight, 205, I better not. So, I am sitting here watching college football games (Ohio State won), eating an Orange, while my son is devouring CP and my wife is having wine and pizza. Oh, man.

Yelp
Fantastic, friendly service and delicious pizza! I ate there last night and the bar lounge was packed so I ate in the main dining area which was 75% full. I got lucky and was seated by the front windows and while drinking my Amber beer, was treated to majestic Alpenglow on the mountain range beyond! SWEET! :0) My pizza came out pretty quick considering how busy they were. They had tons of friendly staff which made the entire evening delightful! I ordered regular crust with pesto sauce, artichoke, sausage, mushroom and garlic! YUMMY!!! I asked for it to be cooked well done but not burnt, it was baked to perfection and the flavor was SUPER DELISH! I was so hungry after hiking all day and it was so delish, I almost ate an entire Medium pizza! Added on a Heff on tap and it wrapped up a fantastic day! :0) Keep up the great, friendly and fast service! Thank You so much for the delicious pizza and brews on tap! Can't wait to return! :0)

Yelp
With all the mixed reviews, I wasn't sure what kind of experience we'd have. I'm happy to say everything we ordered turned out to be better than we expected. My husband's small 'Masterpiece' pizza had a soggy bottom which wasn't ideal, but the toppings were flavorful and fresh. My vegetarian lasagna was tasty and I loved that it had an array of veggies in it (artichoke, spinach, carrot, onion). We also enjoyed two small salads; a dinner salad which came with my meal and a greek salad. The greek salad was a hit and came with a homemade greek dressing. The dinner salad though good was more on the simpler side. Will definitely keep this restaurant in our rotation when back in the area.

Yelp
Ordered Pizza, Lasagna, and Volcano wings. Wings were awesome, I ordered them well done, they were crunchy and really spicy as advertised, 10/10 on wings. Pepperoni Pizza was just average Pizza. Crust was dense decent amount of cheese and pepperoni. Lasagna was also just average, good amount of cheese, sauce and flavor, but noodles were way overcooked. Great service. We come to Mammoth yearly, I'll try other Pizza spots next time.

Dev P.

Yelp
Forgot an item for a takeout order. All the pastas we ordered had barely any sauce. Bread was cold. Probably won't be coming here again

Brett V.

Yelp
This is our go-to for pizza I'm Mammoth. We really enjoyed the regular crust, white sauce, pepperoni, olives and mushrooms. The crust was cooked to perfection and the toppings were great. The service was very friendly and checked on us often.

Long D.

Yelp
Long line of waiting on Saturday but hostess worked hard and got us a party of 3 in within 10 minutes. Pizza and pasta keep flying out of the kitchen. Nice place to wait inside. Cozy dining room, with plenty of room and nice deco. Waiters and waitresses work hard to keep them clean and pleasant, Ask for water and brought out quickly. Ordered truffle and porcini mushroom ravioli, lemon caper salmon, all come with either Ceasar salad or minestrone soup. Extensive antipasto and pasta and pizza and beer, wine and beverages menu Ambience is not noisy. Good food, fair price, quick seating, nice and clean dining room , extensive menu for every ages, plenty of parking, friendly service. What else do you ask for. Recommended

Yelp
Labor Day craziness! We walked in last night and the place was packed. We found a table in the bar. The gentleman greeted us promptly with menus and silverware. We had the anti pasta salad and split a masterpiece pizza. Both were fantastic. The food came out in a timely manner considering how busy they were. Very impressive! I can't eat pizza without ranch and their ranch is tasty as well. I grew up going to Giovanni's and the interior hasn't changed much since I was little. People definitely go for the food and the Mom and Pop style restaurant.

Anton W.

Yelp
Giovanni's Pizza enjoys a great reputation, and it's easy to see why--they make fantastic pizza. However, their popularity can lead to frustrating delays. They'll give you a specific pickup time, but when you arrive, there's often a long line, and by the time you actually check out, your pizza may be lukewarm because it was made an hour earlier. When I raised these concerns on the phone, the staff hung up on me. Given their high-quality food, it's surprising they haven't implemented a more efficient system or offered better customer service.

Mason L.

Yelp
Salad was ok but the chicken was buns tbh same with the chicken Alfredo, pizza was fye though.

Zabdi H.

Yelp
Absolutely revolting how plain the food is, the pizza is okay, but the pasta is flavorless and overcooked. I ordered the vodka pasta and chicken parm pasta and it has no flavor, I'm not one to hate on food but this was absolutely awful. The pizza was fine but that's all everything else was completely disgusting and even then the price is even worse I paid 90 dollars for cafeteria food.

Thom M.

Yelp
I have been going to Mammoth for decades & came across Giovanni's on this trip & realized that I have been missing out on this place all that time. I sat at the bar & ordered a glass of Chianti & a pizza to take back to my room nearby. Everything was great!

Akhil K.

Yelp
We ordered some takeout pizza from here while visiting Mammoth. Tried some of their Thai Tofu pizza as an experiment. Turned out great. The service was swift, and people were friendly. Will definitely return. This place can get busy, so timing your dine in or takeout orders in advance will help. There's plenty of parking right in front, and it did feel like this would be a fun place to watch a game, a rather sports-themed ambiance inside.

N A.

Yelp
Food is amazing Italian. There severs and they serve you on your table. Also they have amazing drinks. It's a great Italian fun family place. Special thank you to Victoria, she made my sons birthday so special. Even thought their hot chocolate machine was down she made it happen. Great place, great food, great drinks and great service.

Lori P.

Yelp
Ordered a meatball pizza and antipasto salad to go and both were delicious! Meatballs were very tasty, crust was perfect. The salad was fresh and crispy, and full of cheese, meat and other goodies. We really enjoyed our dinner.

Paulette C.

Yelp
We were in Mammoth for 5 weeks and went here twice. First time we had pizza and the second time I had Shrimp Scampi and my husband had Eggplant Parmesan. Everything was very good. We will be back on our next trip.

Michael A.

Yelp
The signature Masterpiece pizza was decent. The counter service was poor. The young lady presented a negative attitude, underestimated the ready time by twenty minutes, and forgot my add ons. The location is good and the ambiance was on par for a pizzeria.

Paritosh S.

Yelp
Flavorless dated italian food with reluctant service. Pesto pasta was very runny. Minestrone soup had too much oil floating on top.

Gary H.

Yelp
This place was ok and friendly. It wasn't spectacular food so I was surprised by the rating. The scampi was sort of bland and the garlic bread lacked pizzazz. My wife enjoyed the pizza so I am thinking this is not really and I talk a place but a pizza place. The kids are well and filled their bellies so that is important when I rate them. I should have had pizza.

Luz V.

Yelp
Pizza here never disappoints Pizzas are quite large and you will experience yumminess in every bite . Must stop in Mammoth

Isabelle V.

Yelp
Pizza flavor was okay, my boyz got pepperoni, mushrooms, and bell peppers. My other half ordered Thai pizza. Nope, not a fan of Thai pizza, but like to keep them boyz happy. I did like the mammoth pizza, however as you all know because of elevation crust was different. Atmosphere is nice, and pretty quiet, maybe because everyone is tired and pretty late, too. Service was great, our server was so friendly and helpful, and best of all our food came out right away. Best of all, I'm glad they had a variety of beers, I just needed a good

Alex V.

Yelp
I stopped into this pizza place while vacationing in mammoth with family. We had kids with us so we wanted pizza to satisfy the kids but was of a high enough quality that the adults would like it too. The restaurant is located in a strip mall with plenty of parking so there is no issues there. The restaurant itself has enough seating, but like most restaurants in mammoth you feel a little cramped when you are seated. We ordered two basic pepperoni and sausage pizzas. The topping portions were generous, the cheese tasted good, and the crust was just right. The pricing was also fair considering mammoth is a tourist spot where everything is a little more expensive. With that said, because it's not in the Village it's better priced then the locations there. The service was also fast and pleasant. I would probably make this my go to pizza place in mammoth and reccomend it to anyone!

Bryan R.

Yelp
Good food, solid service, beer/wine/cocktails. A regular spot for us when we are in Mammoth. Friendly service goes a long way when places are packed and stressful for both the staff and guests. We dine in and get food to go from here, sometimes twice in the same trip.

Ari G.

Yelp
Best pizza in Mammoth! The pizzas are HUGE. The salads and wings are also always great!

Ashley N.

Yelp
We just finished our dinner and it was FANTASTIC! My husband had the Meatzza pizza and according to him it was "Meat-tastic"! I had the and the antipasto salad and it was really good. My folks had the Gios pizza and it was hearty and delicious and the pesto sauce was excellent. The highlight of our meal was the service we received from Wendy. Will definitely be back for more amazing food and service!!

Danielle N.

Yelp
Pizza is amazing. It's always busy, recommend calling ahead but they have great pizza and beer. Classic pizza shop.

Madie D.

Yelp
Their pizza hits fresh off the slopes! I stopped here on my way out of town before a long drive home to LA and I was so pleased with the food and service. The staff is very nice and the pizza came out hot and quick.

Jim P.

Yelp
The best place in mammoth to dine. The place is Awesome the staff is always so friendly and welcoming. They have made this place feel like home. The food is by far the best in town. For lunch or dinner. There are several pizza places in town but hands down Giovanni's is by far the best. The bar had plenty of TV's and the artwork and decor really gives you that mammoth vibe.

Jeri J.

Yelp
Absolutely disgusting this is the worst pasta I've have in my life... how do you mess up pasta?!?! And it was overpriced for this cafeteria room.

Melanie G.

Yelp
This place was popping! Ordered a bbq pizza to go it was delicious! Great value fun you can watch them making the pizzas
