I placed an order for my meal through Uber Eats and upon receiving it, I noticed that it was warm. However, it could have been hotter. Despite this, the dish was incredibly delicious. Nevertheless, I found it necessary to enhance the flavor by adding various seasonings such as salt, black pepper, garlic powder, turmeric, and ginger. These additions truly elevated the taste of the dish. Although I would definitely order it again, I would suggest that they incorporate more seasoning into their preparation. As for the overall experience, I would rate the atmosphere with one star since I did not have the opportunity to see the place in person. On the other hand, the service was impressively quick, earning it a five-star rating. As previously mentioned, the only drawbacks were the lukewarm temperature of the food and the need for additional seasoning.the spring rolls was delicious.

I ordered the dry noodle late at night, it came into separate containers. The sauce and meat on top were good, but the noodles smelled really bad.

Google
I had Black Garlic Tonkotsu Ramen here. The broth was really good and it's one of the few places in LB that serve black garlic ramen. What's good is that they serve it in a 2 tiered ramen to-go box that separates the soup and noodles so it won't get soggy when you take it home.

Google
Lovely tonkatsu. The pork was juicy and good shape. The garlic tonkatsu creamy soup was garlicky and a good combo with the noodles. After a night of drinking hit the spot. Place a little interesting to find where to meet. But makes sense.

Google
Poor excuse ramen shop. Overpriced to hell for what it is. Meat was dry and very thinly portioned. Seems like it it was precut and left to dry for 3 days. The critical miss was the broth. It was bland and not rich in pork flavor. Would not recommend plenty of ramen shops around these days for a shop to be this lazy in execution.

Google
I ordered delivery through doordash. Tonkotsu ramen was good. i liked the takeout bowls that were one piece but separates the liquid from the solids. nice touch. i also ordered a salmon poke bowl. i took one bite of a piece of salmon and it does not taste fresh. i would not order raw fish from here again.

Google
I tried their spicy miso ramen and it was not good. I threw half of it away and it costed me $18. It tasted almost like instant ramen but with slightly more complex flavor and overly spicy tasting and the red dyed ginger kind of clashes with the whole flavor of the bowl. The menma and ramen noodles were good but thats it. I make better ramen at home but unfortunately it takes a lot of work for me to do so I may be more critical than other people on the taste of ramen. If you are a ramen connoisseur or enjoy ramen paitan, i would not recommend this place or at least not recommend the spicy miso ramen.

Google
Oh my gosh, really good Ramen and the eggrolls are also delicious. I got the spicy miso chicken Ramen it was very flavorful, hot, and there was plenty of it! It was very reasonably priced as well. Great customer service. I literally had to call them to compliment as well as post here. 😎👍 highly recommend!

Yelp
I had a quick ramen craving after work and found this place on DoorDash and I could pickup so I ordered! I chose the spicy tonkotsu ramen. I went to the pickup location and found out it's a ghost kitchen which I'm totally fine with. Went in and picked up my order. Inside has lockers and a window which I picked up my order from. The lady didn't say anything just looked at my order on my phone and handed it to me. It was packaged nicely and had everything I needed in the bag. It was pretty spicy yet very flavorful. Good portion of noodles which is always the one thing I run out of first with ramens. I'd definitely order again when I have a ramen craving!

Jenny B.

Yelp
Ordered through ubereats got the spicy tonkotksu ramen with edamame and dr pepper. Also got the shoyu ramen. And came with free gyoya. Every thing was delicious! But would have to knock down 2 stars because I asked for the spicy sauce on the side and not in the noodles and when it was delivered you can tell the spicy sauce was missing a lid because it was leaking everywhere on the chopsticks bag. And all that was left was the chili part and not the oil. But would buy again. Probably not the spicy in fear of there being another leakage.

Yelp
Wanted to like this spot, but wound up with food poisoning after ordering from here. Got the spicy vegetarian ramen and something tasted "off" but I thought it was just me since this was a new spot. I was wrong and woke up incredibly sick. Still recovering as I type this. Partner's food was fine and he didn't have any issues. Adding details here as I'm not certain I can privately reply to the manager's response. Order was yesterday, Mar 8th at around 8pm for delivery. Order had gyoza, tonkatsu ramen, spicy vegetarian ramen, and fried bananas. Everything seemed fine, however I didn't finish my spicy vege ramen because of the slightly "off" taste. I asked my partner if theirs tasted okay and they said yes. I then woke up at 4am this morning and could taste that same "off" taste before becoming violently ill for several hours after. My partner was fine so it seems only my food was affected. Thank you for your response and taking this seriously. Appreciate you looking into this so others do not become ill in the event of contamination.

Yelp
Online said was open but when arrived had no access to kiosk had to order on phone did t receive the extra eggs that I put on order

Yelp
DELICIOUS. Was on the hunt for some delicious vegetarian ramen in Long Beach and this place was it. I got the spicy vegetarian ramen and it was so good (with a subtle kick of spice - I have a high spice tolerant, so it was very tolerable for me. My partner thought so, too, and he doesn't have as high of tolerant as mine). It's down an ally way and thanks to the beautiful building mural, I was easy to spot Daisy's kitchen. You can place an order ahead of time and pick up, but we placed an order on the screens inside and received a notification about 15 min later to pick up in the respective locker. Didn't have to interact with anyone which was actually a nice change of pace. I'll be returning.

Yelp
Amazing food. I love ramen and most places disappoint however this place was so good and I loved it. Nuff said

Yelp
Food is good, but they messed up our order so it really took from our experience. May order again cuz the food was good, but it's all about attention to detail y'know? Sad part is it really wasn't even complicated. Order 1: add seaweed. They charged us, but didn't add it. Order 2 & 3: hot sauce on the side. No hot sauce. Order 4: spicy tonkotsu. No issues with it, but had to share my spicy stew with order #2 to make up for the restaurant's mistake. We're in quarantine, so had to split the food and couldn't give some of my spicy stew to the other order. Also had asked if they could write our names on the lids so it was easier to separate, but that wasn't done. No biggie cuz that was just asking for them to go beyond.

Yelp
Seriously, what a hidden gem! I super love the Spicey vegan ramen and the chicken Goza topair. Always delicious and a go too. Just know it's a ghost kitchen and hidden in an alley to pick up. So worth it!

Yelp
The Black Garlic Tonkotsu Ramen was perfect for my late night ramen craving! Not only is Giraffe Ramen delicious for takeout, it's actually tastier than many of the ramens I've had dining at ramen shops. It comes topped with wood ear mushrooms, half a soft-boiled egg, bean sprouts, bamboo, ginger, green onions, and of course two tender cuts of tonkotsu. The broth is nicely flavored without being too salty. I really appreciated the thoughtful packaging which separated the noodles/topping and broth in separate compartments within one container so it doesn't get soggy. The container is tied up in a plastic bag to prevent spill. The ratio of noodles/topping and broth was perfect. The next time you have a rainy day ramen craving, give Giraffe Ramen a try!

Yelp
I'm glad I tried this ramen place. The broth is tasty and spicy, the noodles are silky smooth, and the toppings complement the bowl. I love ramen, so I'll be adding this to my weekly rotation!

Yelp
I was looking for a ramen place. I had been craving Ramen the weekend prior, so when I saw the rating and the fact it was super close to work, it was like the perfect find... So it took me a few extra minutes to find the actual entrance location since it is actually in the alleyway.. When you get close, you will tons of parked cars and food runners for door dash uner eats etc. Don't be scared they are just picking up delivery orders inside. You will find two touch screens where you can order from not only the Ramen Giraffe but 34 other restaurants. That's right, there are 35 restaurants to choose from Clever business model for sure not getting side tracked I ordered the Pork Ramen spicy, Hamachi Kama and a Cucumber Salad After the order, it was about 5 minutes or so when they called me up, I chose to eat there so I could see well the food was cooked and I wasn't disappointed... My ramen is steaming hot and spicy, cucumber salad super fresh and crisp with every bite, and my Hamachi Kama. Well, let's just say cooked perfectly... I will definitely be back again!!!

Yelp
The ramen noodles have the identical taste and texture to Top Ramen and Maruchan noodles. The broth was good and you have the option of a hard boiled egg or shoyu egg. The chashu had good flavor but a bit tough. They're open late which is a huge plus but overall the ramen is decent and probably would not order again.
google avatar

Kristin T.

Yelp
Love their Ramen anytime. Easy to order and pick up. They have plenty of options for me and my wife seeing as I am a vegetarian.
google avatar

Efua A.

Yelp
Quite good I've been to a lot of ramen joints in the neighborhood, and this one was excellent! The ramen was tasty. My friend and I waited for our order for around 20 minutes to an hour. The egg and meat in the spicy miso ramen I ordered were excellent, and my companion who ordered the vegetarian ramen also thought it was excellent. The dumplings were also rather tasty. Overall, it was excellent. However, give it a go.

Yelp
This is a strictly take-out Ramen situation from what is referred to as a "ghost kitchen" so it's never going to be that hot fresh soup served on a ceramic bowl kind of goodness. For that reason, & in comparison to other Ramen I've had, I couldn't give it more stars. But it hits the spot for on-the-go Ramen. The Black Garlic Chicken Tonkotsu's (I feel like no one talks about this one too much) broth is light and flavorful. The noodles reminded me of instant ones (although better). That may sound like an insult, but it honestly isn't meant to be because I happen to like the occasional instant noodles and Giraffe's are not bad at all. The Black Garlic Tonkotsu and Chicken Tonkotsu are good choices are well. Overall the food didn't necessarily rock my world but it is solid and delicious. Also, I have to say, since they are pros in the take-out game, they know how to pack the Ramen...served in this double decker bowl with broth on bottom and innards on top. Clearly, I'm easily amused and impressed. LOL! There are several ways to order online for take-out delivery or pick-up but you can also order at the location (it's a plain grey building) and just wait for it. It's like a food adventure! :-)

Yelp
Packing are great. Fast and convenient. I expected the cucumbers salad to have flavor but it turns out just completely plain with soy sauce on the side. I thought it would be marinated like Thai style cucumber salad or most of the Japanese restaurant cucumber salad. Overall, its an okay ramen but I would not say its the best one in town.

Yelp
Ramen Delivery FTW! They have the best containers for delivery/togo orders. I had the spicy miso and took all of my daughters toppings because she wouldn't eat them. ‍ Warm, filling and delicious! I've order from here a few times and totally going to order again! Delivery time is quoted really high so I was extra excited when I got my food in half the time!!

Yelp
First off I wanted to start off with how sketchy the area is. I gpsd it there and it led me to an alley with tagging on the wall and like 4 or 5 guys hanging outside looking sketchy I even debated going in even after ordering but I really wanted to try the ramen plus I had already made my order. I was completely willing to overlook the sketchy area if the ramen was good. I ordered the spicy Tokotsu ramen and was expecting the veggies to come with it but alas it did not Read the description of my order below -Tonkotsu ramen originates from Kyushu. Creamy broth with a rich pork flavor and homemade spicy sauce (Very Spicy) top with grilled chashu pork belly, menma bamboo shoot, bean sprouts, sliced green onion, kikurage mushrooms, Ginger, marinated boiled egg and Noodle.- Literally all I got was just the noodles, an egg and the broth. I went back in to tell the people there and they were very hesitant to give me veggies they just told me "yah it was supposed to come with it." I don't know if they didn't believe me and they thought I hid the veggies so I could get more or what their deal was but they did not want to give me any veggies so I was stuck with just the noodles and an egg. At the end I told them hey at least give me some green onion so that I don't have to eat a plain ramen. They were nice enough to give me some green onion I guess. The noodles were a 6. The egg was very well cooked and rich definitely an 8 The broth was also like a 6 because it needs more time cooking and absorbing the flavor and fat of the pork. Pork was a 6 mabey 7 just wish there was more then 2 small pieces. All in all the ramen was like a 5 or 6. it would have definitely been mabey a 7 highest if I would have gotten the veggies so I could have a cohesive dish but over all my experience was a 1 1/2stars.

Yelp
Food was great I love the spicy noodles My two year old and 1 year old loved the chicken noodles my wife loved it will be here again
google avatar

Jeff M.

Yelp
Overall pretty good. I think the testament to a good ramen is the broth and it definately hit the mark there. However, where I feel they needed improvement is the char siu..it was lackluster and dry. That part is hard to make and if I known it would be subpar, I would have gotten the chicken instead. But again, broth was good so I would return.

Yelp
...this place...it took me a decade to find...I felt like I drove to a stranded location when my GPS in my car told me I have arrived. In my head, I thought my GPS was EFFING with me because I didn't see a sign that says "GIRAFFE RAMEN" the only thing I passed by was a weird/dark color looking garage thingamabob. I'm thinking, is my car GPS taking me to a serial killers hide out? My GPS probably hates me by now anyways cause I overuse it's system to the max especially to locate for something to eat. It's saying "time for her to go." I'm seriously not joking...but in the end I did end up going into this dark color looking like garage place. Since my GPS insists it's in there, I was like WELL...(insert Criminal Mind's eerie theme song) I had no choice It's actually home to several mom and pop restaurants. They actually call this place GHOST KITCHEN'S. Well that explains it, right? Even the outside looks like a ghost inhibit like type of deal. The exterior is literally black. Now, you see why I said serial killer hideout, right? Hahaha, well I survived, it's ok, let's breathe. So, as I approached this eerie, looking like, dark color garage building, I was told by a Jamaican guy "You are at the right place. Food is all good GO IN" It made me think, "Ok, whew. I actually did think I wasn't going to make it today." Naw, I'm kidding. The guy actually made me felt more safe, cause I now know for sure I'm going to get some food in my stomach. Rule number one, never judge a place by it's cover right? Inside was some girls in the front that helped me out. I asked one of them where do I order and she directed me to these mini ipad machines to the right side. Apparently, this is home to several different mom/pop/ghost kitchen's. Whatever you want to call it. Here is a small list, and I will get straight to my food after this: Hint my ramen was bomb.com! -Hippo Poke -Red Dragon -White Elephant It seems like every restaurant has an animal name, LOL! Food took about 20 minutes to get to me. They however forgot to text me when my order was ready to be picked up in the front desk. This was the only thing I didn't like. I know I remember to put right phone number to text. I was wondering it's been almost 45 minutes, why is my food taking so long? I had to go to the front desk and asked if it was ready yet. The girl told me it was ready 20 minutes ago, and she apologized which was good. For my order at Giraffe Ramen, I got the Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen. Basically, spicy pork. Despite the fact that I had a hard time finding this place, the food was 100 well-worth it! The ramen was slurping material. The ramen noodles were on a little on the thicker side, which is a plus to me. I know for sure they weren't using instant ramen packages that you get from the store. The pork slices were pretty tender and a little fatty, which I absolutely savor ever last bite of them. They had such a great flavor in the meat as well. The broth was also super good. The broth had a strong spicy/pork aromatic smell to it. Super enticing. However, I have to knock a star down because they didn't give enough soup. The ramen noodles were hitting the top, and the soup wasn't even half way filling the bowl. It's a big no-no for me because I love drinking the broth on a soup while slurping up the noodles. That was the only downside, but overall it was such an scrumptious bowl of noodles. I will definitely be back when I'm in the area again. Don't worry folks, no crazy human living here. Just some good ole food restaurants in one small dark/weird looking like garage. Definitely give Giraffe Ramen a try. The ramen is fantastic! Parking is not a problem. They have a medium size parking garage at the end of the garage looking like building. Happy Eating!

Jolanta M.

Yelp
Decent ramen at best. The noodles had no flavor, the broth could've used some more seasoning. It was a bland ramen. However, packaging was great. And the fried chicken dumplings were BOMB!!!! They get a 5/5. But his is a ramen review so I have to deduct for the unpleasant ramen meal. Next time, I'll just order a platter of fried chicken dumplings.

Jesus F.

Yelp
The food was amazingly good everything was so flavorful warm and delicious I order take out service was great quick easy no trouble will be eating from here again

Yelp
Went with a friend to try out this restaurant and the ramen was excellent! Would highly recommend!

Yelp
New ramen shop in north Long Beach, inspired by authentic Japanese recipes. Their menu is concise, including ramen in a variety of styles, and a good selection of traditional side dishes. Ramen shops generally have one (or zero) vegetarian options. Giraffe got my attention because they offer three different plant based ramens. They are currently open for takeout and delivery during the Covid-19 pandemic. They are on all the delivery apps. I ordered via Postmates, and my order arrived quickly and carefully packaged. The Spicy Creamy Vegetarian Ramen was indeed spicy, but so cloyingly salty that I could not eat more than one bite. The soup was only edible after watering down the broth. I liked the noodles and toppings, but the sodium level was overwhelming. The Cucumber Salad had a tasty, simple soy dressing, but the cucumbers were sliced too thin and arrived soggy as a result. I may try them again in the future.
google avatar

Lindsey D.

Yelp
Ordered from here using Door Dash. The time between ordering and receiving the food was about 40 minutes. I got the miso vegetarian ramen with fried gyoza. The ramen broth was tasty and filling with all the vegetables, tofu, and egg. I usually have steamed gyoza so fried was something different. The gyoza was crispy and paired will with a thick soy sauce.

Yelp
First time here!! My husband and I were looking for a ramen spot to eat after a long night of fishing. It was 10pm and a lot of ramen spots were closed so we decided to give this place a try. It's pickup only and the building is located in an alley. The ramen was delicious!! Very creamy and flavorful. We are definitely coming back to try more dishes.
google avatar

Yelp
Ramen is fire, ive tried many ramen places and this is 2nd best ive had‍. Service was fast and easy.

Myrna A.

Yelp
I had been craving ramen for the longest time. I wanted something local and found it here in Long Beach! You can place the order for delivery or pick up. I had the Tonkotsu Ramen, it's a creamy broth with pork, half a hard boiled egg, mushrooms and bamboo shoots. It's packaged so nicely too. Noodles and everything on a top container, separate from the broth. I put everything in and immediately started slurping the noodles. It was so delicious, the flavors of the broth mixed with the pork and a little bit of egg were just what I was craving. I also tried their spicy edamame, fried banana, which reminds me of my mom's platanos and the Chicken Karaage. This place is a Must!! Everyone is so nice too. Totally hit the spot. I definitely plan to return!

Ashley H.

Yelp
I was trying to enjoy my gyoza (I say trying because they frankly aren't very good and the sauce is overly sweet) and then there was a dead fly I found when I turned the cup of gyoza sauce around The Black Garlic Tonkotsu Ramen was disappointing as well. I love me some nice salty ramen, but this was way overly salted and was difficult to eat. Don't waste your time with this place!

Raymundo S.

Yelp
Ramen was incredibly delicious. It is a little confusing to pick up orders at the location at first, but once you get the hang of it, ordering is a breeze. The broth was crazy delicious and everything else was perfect. I was an hour in and the to-go bowl has still kept my food decently warm. I definitely will be coming here often, especially cos they close at 1 am!

Vee N.

Yelp
be careful! this business might be a scam and/or attempt to rob customers! called and they did not ask for my name and said CASH ONLY! I went to the business but left immediately because there were many homeless people and people hanging out in their cars. i felt very unsafe, do not encourage anyone to visit this location.

Israel Z.

Yelp
The food was good but it took a while just for it to be served like a tv dinner. Though it has a safe way of collecting your food and a little bar like table to eat at.
google avatar

Jazmine V.

Yelp
Very quick delivery with good flavor. Keep in mind that this is a cloud kitchen location--I didn't know this before coming so it was confusing to find it at first. There are tons of other establishments here too so you can order a boba while you wait for ramen. It's dope. Will be coming back in the future!
google avatar

Ashley C.

Yelp
I ordered on door dash on a rainy day and it hit the spot. Great flavor, and was packaged well. The only thing I would have changed was that I wish they gave more broth. Will order again.
google avatar

Emily J.

Yelp
Raman here is a joke. Topping is great but noodle and broth taste very artificial flavor. Tasted like they made a broth with just boiling water not using actual pork or chicken bones.
google avatar

Brian D.

Yelp
It's ramen...but just nothing to rave about. I ordered the tonkotsu ramen and egg rolls. I was hoping the broth would be thick, but it was runny and lacked flavor. The egg rolls were decent. Overall, it was an alright experience. It fed my hunger, but didn't make my tastebuds dance with excitement. I'll stick with the miso next time.
google avatar

Anh T.

Yelp
I ordered in in a frizzy night. Garlic chili butter edamame was tasty. Tonkotsu ramen was good and traveled well. Fried mini banana wontons was fun to eat. Overall a good choice for ramen!!!
google avatar

Mia P.

Yelp
DONT GET THIS if you want authentic ramen. I never write Yelp reviews but this ramen is way too salty and taste like Pho the Vietnamese dish, nothing like ramen. First off my boyfriend had such a hard time finding the restaurant to pick up the food and had to call them to find the pick up place. You can't go into the restaurant to pick it up and have to get it from a sketchy pick up place near a parking lot. They barely put ANY broth in the soup as well so what you see in the picture is what we got. It was the worst ramen I had in my whole life. Don't waste your money here like I did.
google avatar

Locee S.

Yelp
The delivery was perfect and on time or even earlier. This place is so good! I will continue supporting their business
google avatar

Lily P.

Yelp
Very delicious , my favorite ramen so far , everything is very convenient and fast , when you order all you do is pick up in the locker and your ready to go , they got my order the way I wanted it .

Yelp
Today was one of those cold, blustery, rainy January days and nothing called out to me more than a piping hot and flavorful bowl of ramen. Normally, I'm a little bit skeptical of takeout ramen (just cause I'm not sure if it ever travels well) but I had to give it a try this time around. Man, was that a good idea! I ordered the black garlic tonkotsu ramen with pork chasu with a side of karaage. Everything came beautifully packaged in easy to assemble boxes and best of all, the broth was still warm! The flavors were FANTASTIC - just the right mix of spicy and umami. The pork was tender and the noodles were cooked perfectly. The karaage was well grilled as well (although I would have loved a lemon to sprinkle on) and the spicy Mayo sauce gave the chicken a little kick as well. Needless to say, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND ordering takeout and delivery from here if you get a chance - trust me, you won't be disappointed!
google avatar

Tuyet A.

Yelp
Good ramen. However, the broth was a bit too salty for me. Probably, I don't usually cook food with a lot of salt at home. Other than that, my family definitely will come back. Good service as well.
google avatar

Mj S.

Yelp
So far this is our favorite Ramen. We ordered from them several times already. The quality and quantity of their food is worth your $$.
google avatar

Lisa N.

Yelp
Totally a ramen snob here... I honestly feel the ramen here is overpriced and bland... The noodles are not fresh and seems like they were packaged. The broth is flat and lacks depth, umami and salt. I ordered off Postmates so maybe it's better in person? The pork belly was also not thick or flavorful.... I don't understand how everything was so bland.
google avatar

Kristy B.

Yelp
I ordered the spicy miso ramen. Overall the broth, flavor, portion size, and presentation were good. I thought noodle to broth ratio could be balanced out with more broth. Medium spicy wasn't spicy hot like my mouth was burning more like it was a ton of red chili pepper so that can impair the slurp. I took off stars because the meat was very tough and dry. I think it's because it was grilled? Not my preference to have the chasu grilled for that reason, but to each their own.
google avatar

Patrick K.

Yelp
My last order from there was incredibly salty and the chashu seemed a bit dry. Not sure if I am going to continue my visits.
google avatar

Keo V.

Yelp
I think this is a ghost kitchen? But eh, that didnt effect how delicious my bowl of noodles were.
