Girls Love Pearls is part of an ongoing family tradition since first dealing with Mark six years ago. It has become a tradition in our family to present each granddaughter with a set of quality simple single pearl earrings with white gold studs on their 13th birthday as a right of passage into their teenage years. It is our hope that with care this wonderful gift will last well into their future lives and become an heirloom in their own future families with many happy memories attached. Mark is always above board and honest in his advice regarding selecting the appropriate item to fill the requirements. The quality and selection available is first class when it comes to quality pearls. I look forward to shopping at Girls Love Pearls with Mark several more times as our remaining granddaughters come of age. However I expect that there may be some other purchases occurring due to the “hints” being thrown out by other family members that do not fill the criteria.

No complaints at all. It is hard to find people who are able to take on jewelry repairs at a reasonable price. But Mark and his team are so professional in their customer service. Nothing is too hard and they take care of your precious items. I had a strand of pearls re-strung and he did a great job. Each pearl was individually knotted as in the original strand. Highly recommend Mark and the price was more than reasonable for the intricate work involved. Could not be happier. Thank you Mark.

Mark and the team were really helpful in creating a custom pair of pearl earrings with detachable drops for my wedding day. Great craftsmanship and good communication, and the end product was just beautiful!

The most beautiful range of pearl jewellery! Mark was most helpful, friendly and accommodating - no pressure at all. Helped me select a perfect combination of chain and pendant. I just love it! Would highly recommend visiting if you're a Girl who Loves Pearls!!

My pearl necklace needed an emergency restringing and living in Mackay with little to no pearl experts, thank heavens I was going on a trip to Brisbane because I was able to drop by to drop them off. The GLP staff were awesome! Very nice and understanding. They were able to restring and ship my pearls back to me so much more quickly and efficently than I ever expected. Thank you Mark, your worth every cent and I'll be straight back if it happens again.

I had two pearl necklaces, one of which belonged to my mother and had been a 21st birthday gift to her from my dad many years ago. I wanted to wear these but felt it best to have them restrung before attempting to wear them. The other was my 21st birthday gift from my parents which I had never worn as it was one long strand, and I always felt it was too long to wear and not really my style. Question was what to do with my long unworn pear necklace? I had the idea to have it shortened and the left over pearls made into a bracelet and perhaps earrings. As soon as I stepped into 'Girls Love Pearls' in the beautiful Brisbane Arcade, I knew I had come to the right place to have this work done. The shop has a wonderful welcoming atmosphere and Mark was so pleasant to deal with. With the help and expertise from Mark, we worked out a length to restring my necklace and there were enough remaining pearls to make a bracelet and a set of drop earrings. Couldn't be happier! I now have a beautifully restrung necklace from my late mother which I absolutely love and a set of earrings, a bracelet and a perfect length necklace - all very wearable. I'm delighted with my pearl jewellery collection. Thank you so much Mark.

Have known Mark for 10 years. Always helpful and well known for his lovely custom made jewellery. He did a valuation for me this time and as an unexpected bonus returned items freshly cleaned and sparkling. Thanks Mark.

Yelp
Whilst walking through the gallery level of Brisbane Arcade recently, I noticed the boutique Girls Love Pearls. Pfffffft, I thought. Girls don't love pearls. Girls love puppies and dresses and new shoes and musicals. Old ladies love pearls. Intrigued, I stepped inside. I don't know the first thing about pearls, but from what I learnt when eaves dropping over the conversation the salesman was having with a prospective customer, I found out a number of things: 1) They are expensive 2) They are difficult to acquire 3) They are timeless, often heirlooms and synonymous with class and elegance Learning these things were enough for me to decide on the spot that I would like some. So there you go people, girls actually do love pearls. They just have to know how unattainable they are first.

Yelp
Terrible quality. My husband purchased 2 different sets of pearlstud earrings and they had flaws all through them- although he was told otherwise. The gentleman told my husband that they were flawless - and with the lighting in the store my husband couldn't tell that they were far from flawless. It was not until he arrived home and saw them in daylight that he discovered their flaws. Whilst the store owner was happy to exchange or refund, we were disappointed to be told twice by him, that these pearls were flawless (clean surface). Rather, they had noticeable dents in them - the second pair being much worse than the first. This was suppose to be a birthday present to me from my husband. Also he is a very small operation - he went on holidays and shut the store, and so we could not return the dented pearl studs, that he told us were flawless for nearly a week. He is also not open on Sundays or Monday and my husband then went in to the store to return the second set of pearls (that were again terribly flawed and worse than the first pair of pearls) to only find that he was shut on a Monday. My husband had to make numerous trips back and forth from the store to our home to exchange their pearls during his lunchtime at work, and had to stay back after work to make up for the time he lost with all of the running around that this store caused. It wasn't an easy task to find a decent pair of pearls at that store between the price range of $600-$1200. My husband did not end up purchasing any of the pearls. The only response the owner had was when we can afford to pay $1200+ then he may be able to help us find a pair of suitable pearls - flawless. Yet I reiterate, he originally he told us from the beginning the pearls he sold us were flawless! So it doesn't seem to make sense that he would sell us "flawless" pearls - only for us to later discover they were not - and then he admits he has another pair that are flawless - but they are indeed not. And then he basically says it is only if we have more money to spend that he can then help us find a suitable pair of earrings. Why couldn't he then just say that from the onset if this was the case?
