When I was in Rome, this was my go to breakfast/lunch place! First of all, the pizza was fantastic! So many options, and all of them were phenomenal! And then, there’s the pastries! Mamma Mia!! So good! The lobster claws and the fruit tarts were out of this world! I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the Trastevere neighborhood of Rome!

Oh my god. Everything we tasted was delicious! Super fresh bread, the pastries were on point. Basically the best cappuccino I’ve had on my 4 days trip to Rome (I have had atleast 4 cappuccinos from different places) everyone is so welcoming and friendly.

This cafe has a great range of Italian food and drinks. We had very delicious pastries, and ham and cheese pizza. The cafe latte was also perfect. We were served by a very friendly staff Michael who chatted with us while we enjoyed the delicious food and drinks. He speaks perfect English and takes interest in your travel story. His colleague Daniel is also very friendly and funny. We enjoyed their happy service very much!

Google
Very tasty coffee, pastries, and sandwiches at good prices (especially compared to the tourist-oriented spots around Trastevere). We returned multiple times. I wish I had a spot like this in my town. Small downside is the bathroom, which is only accessible via a very narrow spiral staircase, with the door not lockable and cleanliness, which could be improved.

Google
Nice bar/cafe if you’re looking to buy authentic, fresh pastries or cut meets. The service was fast and mostly friendly, the coffee reached Italy quality. I recommend taking the fruit tart, it has fresh fruit on it and they didn’t overcompensate with the sweetness to hide any lack of quality.

Google
Delicious pastries and croissant sandwiches. The lattes are amazing, definitely recommend the soy milk which tastes very authentic! Great and fast service.

I came here everyday whilst visiting Roma recently. The coffee, pastries, and pizza was all freshly baked and tasted great! Very good reasonable prices too. All the staff are very helpful and nice.

We had breakfast there a couple of times during our holidays in Rome and we enjoyed it a lot! If you stay in Trastevere this is an very good place to get delicious breakfast and a very nice cappuccino (1,50€ each). They also have different kinds of tasty panini and various delicious small cakes and sweets. It’s self service but the prices are fair! 👍🏻

Yelp
Dry pastries and sandwiches. Don't get what's on the window. No flavor in the cheese.

Yelp
Good American breakfast place to hit up before a walking day in Rome. Got eggs and bacon and a croissant.

Yelp
Excellent place for espresso in the morning in Trastevere. Amazing baked goods, proscuitto, friendly staff and quick service. I had coffee here every morning while in Trastevere, listening to music in their cafe' and soaking up the atmosphere before getting on the tram to head to other parts of the city. Very convenient to public transportation.

Yelp
This is a lovely cafe, dessert, pizza and butcher shop all rolled into one. There's one station for ordering drinks. I ordered a sublimely frothy latte macchiato. There's another station for deciding on Italian desserts, another station for ordering cuts of pizza and another station for getting cuts of raw meat bagged to go from a butcher. There's also a wonderful sit down area for people working and studying. There's great lighting throughout. Sunlight spills out from the streets into the cafe so it's just the right amount of light and warmth. If I was a local here I could see myself comfortably studying for hours at this cafe.

Yelp
Yummy as heck. Fresh baked goods here. Fresh squeezed OJ and even some bomb American breakfast. Bacon was perfectly crisp. Neighborhood gem! The bakery behind closed doors is huge!

Yelp
If you visit Trastevere you must visit this deli/restaurant/coffee shop. A rainy day brought us to this place that turned out to be delicious. Don't let the organized chaos scare you away. Grab a ticket and be ready to order. They offer warm cooked dishes such as pastas, risotto etc. as well as various pizzas and sandwiches. We tried a couple of pizza pieces. You order and pay per gram, and prices are very good. You should definitely try their pizza with Gorgonzola. There are few seats available for dining, but there is good rotation so not a long wait. We finished the food before I took a photo.. but, they also serve great coffee in the barista area. Prices for coffee is also lower than usual coffee shops around Rome. This place was so convenient and good I am considering going there for dinner tonight.

Yelp
Giselda is just a great one stop shop for everything you need. From fresh salami sandwiches, to sweet and savoury pasties and freshly made cappuccinos - it has it all. We came here every morning and it was such a great way to start our day while people watching locals. The staff doesn't speak much English but that only enhanced our experience. They were all very friendly as we pointed to the pastries we would like to try for the day. My personal favourite was the cream filled croissant. My wife loved anything filled with their fresh pistachio cream. You won't be disappointed!

Yelp
Ate here every morning as part of our included breakfast while staying at Giselda Home https://www.yelp.com/biz/giselda-home-roma. Excellent cappuccino and pastries. Very reasonable prices. A cappuccino is €1.30. Some of the baristas are much better at making coffee and more attentive than others. Good selection of cookies, cakes, and other baked treats. Seating is available, though all the spots may be taken during the busy lunch period. There's also wifi available. The bathroom could be cleaner. No toilet seat, which is typical in Rome, but at various times also no toilet paper or hand soap.

Yelp
What a gem!! Highly recommend! We stumbled across this place while exploring Trastevere. The staff is incredible, they helped with the menu and made a delicious "traditional" recommendation of porchetta sandwich for 4. Very reasonably priced and wise selection of choices including coffees, desserts, wine and beers.

Yelp
This is probably my favorite bakery that I have visited among my European travels. The staff, specifically the young African American man who works the coffee bar area gives service with a smile. He answered all my questions, apart from how busy he was as this place is extremely busy and popular for good reason. Stopped by this place after stumbling across it on yelp as I was headed the colloseum and I am glad that I did the coffee and baked goods are amazingly delicious!

Yelp
Good cheap coffee and pastries for a lovely start to the day. Super reasonable prices!! I had a cappuccino and pastries and it cost 3.20 Euros!

Yelp
This bakery / cafeteria is right by where I live and is a cute little place that my roommates and I stumbled upon and loved! I had the cafe latte and a berry custard tart and it was honestly the perfect way to start my morning and it was pretty well-priced AND delicious. What more can you ask for? I definitely plan on becoming a regular here in the mornings. I want to come back to journal here (there's ample space) and try some of their other foods.

Yelp
Found this randomly on our first night in Rome. Delicious, friendly service, good price. Serving sizes looked small, but boy was it more than expected. Got the lasagna, tomato and basil and the carbonara. All were delicious.

Yelp
Very good bakery in Trastevere....excellent selection of morning pastries, fresh squeezed OJ, and coffee bar. You pay first then pick up your food and beverage...I had a great muffin the first day and a great pain au raisin the next day. Nice proscuitteria as well.

Yelp
A terrific trattoria. The food was delicious. The Gricia pasta was amazing. The "Pizza Bianche" was really good. The gelato - pistachio was yummy. The staff was attentive and helpful. I live in Venice, Italy, but go to Rome regularly. Giselda Forno will definitely be on my list for good food on my next visit. Grazie Tante Lorenzo.

Yelp
Located next to Conad in Trastevere, it has all sorts of fresh baked goods & salami. Very friendly staff. I personally like the Giselda buns & the yellow coffee cake.

Yelp
Highly recommend this authentic bakery in Trastevere. Great place that serves a wide selection of freshly baked pastries, traditional light meals and a great espresso.Prices are very reasonable and service is exceptional. Special thanks to Armand who went out of his way to contact us after we had mistakenly left our backpack in his restaurant. Great food and service deserve to be recognized. Will be back again.

Yelp
Coffee bar, grilled veggies, meats, cheeses, cookies, breads, and pizzas. You can grab a quick breakfast, snack, or stay for a larger meal. Friendly staff are used to American tourists. And air conditioning in the summer is not always easy to find!

Yelp
This place caters to locals, their food is authentic and tasty. We had lunch: Rabbit, stuffed tomatoes, pasta with zucchini flower, melon with prosciutto, and sweets for dessert. You ask for your food, pay for it, sit down and don't have to worry about waiters and service. Great local place with good authentic food.

Yelp
Great spot for a quick bite. Pizza and fried riceballs r decent. The place looks very modern and clean.

Yelp
What they do, they do well. Not only are the staff cheerful and friendly, the food is good and reasonably priced. After all the pizza, I was craving some greens, and they served me a plate of chard with green olives and spinach. I had a porchetta also which was absolutely delicious. The flavourful roasted pork with the crispy cracklings with balsamic reduction and rocket served in a pizza Bianca tastes way better than it looks. Casual, friendly, and good food at a reasonable price. If I lived nearby, I would probably be a regular.
