A Guide to Canada's Gaspé Peninsula

"I spent my first night here in Gaspésie National Park and appreciated the hotel’s generous breakfast for hikers and its cosy, slightly eccentric dining room dominated by a gargantuan stuffed moose head that overshadowed even the photograph of the botanist Frère Marie‑Victorin on the wall." - Nina Caplan Nina Caplan Nina Caplan has been writing about the arts, wine, and travel for over 20 years. Stayed here for 2 nights with my parents. We were in the caribou rooms with a mountain room. The rooms were super clean, good quality shampoo, body wash and hair conditioner. It had nespresso coffee machine and the pods. There was a shared microwave if you needed to heat up food. They have a sauna that you can use. We didn’t book dinner cause it was a bit pricey so we just ate the food we brought. The location is great close to some of the hiking routes. There is no data service on the mountain so the wifi was really helpful. A great gate away spot if you don’t want to camp but still want to enjoy nature.

Stayed from July 5 to July 7, 2019. Spent about $533...that included a few meals. I would love to return again. Best part was walking a trail with moose on both sides. They were just minding their business and I was minding mine.

We stayed here one night in January 2025 on an impromptu trip and loved it! The views of course are amazing, and the room was modern, comfortable, and tastefully designed. We had lunch in the bistro, a set four course meal for dinner, and breakfast the next morning and the food was all outstanding. The WiFi was important due to lack of mobile signal in the park, though not the fastest. Overall a great place to explore the beautiful park from!

Excellent location. Two double bed apartment great size for 2 couples. Kitchen very poor. Filthy, non functional cooker hood. Poor quality bed linen. No plugs in washbasin or bath. Shower not coin operated a la Sepaq. Chalet not in luxury class. Good sized balcony bbq for summer.

Loved everything about this place; amazing mountain location, beautiful lodge decor, very clean room (especially towels and linens), excellent view staying in the main hotel on second floor, comfortable bed, convenient to trailheads, skiing right from the property, delicious food, especially dinner and desert, friendly and very attentive staff. Go for the Gourmet package as it’s well worth it. All my meals were at the hotel, no need to go anywhere else. I ate so well every day; the dinners and deserts were some of the best meals I’ve ever had in my life! ||I loved this place and Gaspesie National Park so much I’ll be back every year.

This is a review for the restaurant ONLY It has a beautiful view and the interior is cozy and sweet, the staff are friendly! However, the food is really average. We got potato skins and besides the sour cream, green onion and a few bacon pieces it was very bland. There were no spices that made it flavourful. I found it very pricey and not great value. I can’t say where to find great value and delicious food near Gaspésie national park but unfortunately i’m not sure if this will be the right place to satisfy your needs!

Our experience here was outstanding. Comfortable and well-appointed rooms, friendly and very helpful staff and outstanding food in both the restaurant and bistro. And the chef is to be commended; the food was so tasty with excellent flavors and presentation. We recommend the fixed price menu. And for something more casual, we went to the bistro after a (very) long day of hiking. We had excellent burgers and enjoyed relaxing in that space. All in all, a great place to stay in a beautiful location. Most highly recommended.
