I visited only five wine tasting establishments in Alsace, so I can't claim this is the "best place in all of Alsace", but it certainly was the best of those that I visited (and most of the others were very good). The wines here were excellent. True to the spirit and soils of Riquewihr, but with some variety in style and technique The knowledge of my host, not only as to wines and winemaking around the world, but also on the depths of centuries of European and Alsatian history and culture, was most impressive and entertaining. I absolutely enjoyed my visit here, as well as the wines I purchased here. Also, if you are driving, the parking here is so much easier than places in the old village. Purchase all you want and carry your wines only steps to your car. I only wish I bought more. If the Rosacker is available...well, a better, more balanced and nuanced grand cru riesling may be hard to find. Unless you have the time to visit every winery in the Alsace.

We had a great time with Vincent. We just dropped in but he made time for us to chat through his wines. His passion and knowledge was great and he was very entertaining cracking jokes and telling stories as well as sharing his knowledge of wine and the region.

Agapé is one of the organic and natural wineyards of the region. They serve delicious wines and tasting sessions are always great to discover the new series. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Rooms are available for booking. The winery is located just outside the historical center of Riquewihr, which can be quite convenient to move with a car in the area.

This was probably our 9th visit to Riquewihr. We have been adamant to stay inside the walls. Wrong. Agapé verifies you can stay also outside - and still enjoy. A LOT!||Rosacker room was really enjoyable. Almost 30m2 space, good planning, great bed, nice bathroom, good small kitchen (hey, the town is full of top class restaurant - you need kitchen only for breakfast and afternoon coffee!!).||And just some 47 steps away is tasting room... where you can buy great wines to carry home!||Good garage for you car. Nice view to Schoenenburg grand cru wines. All this on reasonable price and great service by the owners.||But remember - this is self catering!

We booked a 1 hour tasting yesterday. This was a fantastic experience. The staff was kind, welcoming and answered our questions in a very professional way. We tasted 10 fine wines among which three were grands crus. We never felt pressured to buy at any moment. We were even taken on a tour of their factory and showed the labelling process. I definitely recommend this place if you are visiting the area !

We were able to walk in on a Saturday and have a tasting. Our host was super friendly and passionate about the wines - we learned a lot! Tried 5 or 6 wines and bought 4 (would have bought more but we were walking and taking a bus). Cute little spot. Highly recommend.

Pinot noir rosé and gewurztraminer maceration were two surprises during the tasting. We loved them, definitely give them a try.
