We stayed here for a weekend. It’s perfect for its price. Idk why people have complaints about many things here. A 10-12 minutes walk from the main train station and center. We could easily found working charging ports and rooms were ok (for the price). The staff were very cooperative. They accommodated us for our bags after check out too without any cost and we could chill , use kitchen etc also. Overall, good experience.

Stayed here before leaving for 1 night, due to an injury. The guy at the desk put me in a better room so I didn’t have to go upstairs and was super friendly. It’s quite sociable and an easy walk into town. Main downside is that you have to pay extra for bedding.

A good budget stay at Chamonix, France. The hostel is made mainly by wood and some kms away from the main city centre. The view of Mont blanc mountain range is spectacular from the Hostel location.

I got thoroughly bitten by bedbugs while staying here, and the hostel made minimal efforts to address the issue. Chamonix is beautiful, but stay somewhere else!

Being one of the most affordable hostels in Chamonix, it is good for few nights with clean washrooms. The room size is small and at first does not have a great impression, but the overall atmosphere is amazing. You will meet warm people from different countries in the kitchen and dining area, you will have great stories to hear and you will enjoy your time being in this hostel! We had booked 3 beds for 1 night in a single room for 103 euros through booking dot com.

Not sure what to make of this place. Reminds me of the old free bothy huts you find wandering the hills of Scotland only this one is far from free. No linen just a bare mattress with one scratchy blanket and a wad roll lump they call a pillow. With temperature outside minus 6 they must expect everyone to sleep in ski gear. Bathrooms were dirty. Mould still there all through shower curtains. At 6 ft 2 the toilets space is a joke. Safe lockers non exist. So it's a family run business but none take the time to ever see what customers experience. As a seasoned traveler who previous night stayed in Geneva hostel which rated 5 stars on every category this place is instead a real disappointment. Over demand in Chamonix is all that keeps this place charging for so little return.

All I can say is… you get what you pay for. The showers are disgusting with no space to put clothes. There is black mould on the shower curtains and walls. The rooms smell bad and the room I was in had access to another room with only one door so technically an 8 bed dorm. The kitchen facilities are good. The location is good, only 15ish minute walk to town.

Yelp
The four bed room (bunks) was okay, just about clean enough. However, rest of the building was really grubby, especially toilets and self catering kitchen. Carpet on the back on toilet door - cannot be cleaned. Showers were okay. Breakfast could have been better for the price. Host was welcoming and helpful enough. Overall the building/corridors are dark, especially the landing/stairs and narrow one to the dining room. Stacked with chairs on one side and unlit, people then leave a rucksack on the floor and your at risk of twisting your ankle before starting your activity holiday! Simple investment in action detection lighting would help greatly. Even cheaper for the hostel to leave washing up liquid in the kitchen for guests. Would I use it again? - if I was desperate!
