Gite Le Vagabond

Great place. Lovely staff and super friendly. The location is convenient to the town. The bar is a great meeting location and the people you meet there are outdoorsy and mainly hikers. The bar is well stocked. Beds are comfortable and not creaky which is helpful in a room of 4.

This is without a doubt the best hostel I have stayed in. The staff were awesome, the place was in a great location and the facilities were excellent. Gary is really welcoming and provides fantastic conversation over a beer in the well stocked and cozy bar with a roaring fire. If you are going to Cham, stay here! I will be going back!

While the owners were very nice and allowed us to check in late, the accommodation itself was disappointing. The 4 bed dorm is tiny, has a singular powerpoint and nowhere to put your bags. The shower was clogged with a hair ball, there was nowhere to keep your toiletry bag dry or get changed, and didn’t look like it had been cleaned in a while. Wouldn’t be rushing back but fine for a night.

Lovely hostel to stay, conveniently close to village so u can walk yo it in 10 minutes. British management and pub dispensers! Very interesting customers drop in so your room companions may have stories to share... Different prices if sharing with 6 or if private room. It's quaint and comfy

The epitome of the vibe I seek for my alpine trips 👌 I’ve visited the Vagabond four or five times over the last 10 years with various friends, boarders, skiers, climbers and MTB/VTT and it just keeps getting better and better and it was fantastic the very first time ! Great location, clean and warm but most importantly the bar is frequented by some of the most enthusiastic interesting and welcoming local artisans, residents/mountain sports lifers .. Regardless of the fact that this place provides outstanding bang for your buck I’d chose to stay here over other far more expensive hotels / chalets and I stayed in a number of those in the past as well ! The local knowledge along with the vibe in the Bar makes this place a must. Big thanks once again Garry and on this occasion also Alex a great bar manager.

Poor hostel. No area for relaxation after skiing. Other than bar which closed really early if not enough people in there! Not even a toaster at breakfast. Just plain bread. Was giving luke warm coffee at breakfast 1st day. Another day had orange juice that had turned. Also 1 plug for a dormitory of 4 people. Asked owner for multi socket but wasn't interested. Worst hostel I ever stayed in.

Ela just might be the best thing here so make sure you show up for breakfast so you can meet her! We absolutely loooooove the vagabond. It's a great hostel and also has a pretty sweet "suite" up top. Happy hour is nice and cheap and the dart board makes for some great bets. Can't wait to come back!

Lovely hostel - ran by a caring and lovely owner. Simple accommodation, but excellent location right at the edge of the centre of town. Nothing not to like!
