Stayed here this past week to enjoy some quiet by one before the Christmas rush. We stayed in the Annex, a separate small building in the large backyard which was forested. Rustic interior with large king-sized bed, loveseat, tv, fake fireplace, kitchenette (microwave, mini- fridge/freezer, kettle, coffeemaker, dishes, cutlery), bathtub/shower combo and bathrobes. There was a pool and sauna but not open for the winter. Large parking lot with electric charging station. This large property spans across the back to the other block where you can park directly and then walk through the back to the front door. The back door is a private entrance. Owner’s Myriam and Patrick are friendly and gave discount coupons for nearby restaurants and cheese at the Abbey. Very knowledgeable about the area and this to do. There have been in Magog for t past 12 years and speak both English and French. Breakfast was filling and started out with coffee or tea, a smoothie, then a yogurt with fruit and granola or a fruit salad cup. The main dish was a croissant with melted cheese, ham and apple and salad or an English muffin topped with eggs and cheese with hash browns and salad. Ended with a small bite of Persian sweet. Quiet and peaceful surroundings. Not a partying place. Felt like I was sleeping in the woods. The B&B was in walking distance to Main Street, restaurants and the ice skating path that goes from one park to another along the lake. I was surprised the front exterior wasn’t lighted up with Christmas lights since it was nearly Christmas. I saw the strings of lights installed though. I heard fluttering in the roof at night so there could be bats in the ceiling of the annex.
