This is a really nice heritage house with a large forested yard that has a pool and a sauna. The rooms are large, clean and nicely decorated. We didn’t really connect with the landlady. I don’t know what her name is because she never introduced herself. I would have asked her but it was near impossible to get a word in edgewise as she was in a big rush to get the check-in and orientation over with. Same goes for the checkout. - she had me paying the room bill before we had even finished our breakfast. My wife described her as bossy. Anyway, I won’t go into more detail but we came away with the sense we were imposing on her. Or maybe she was just having a bad day…

Stayed here this past week to enjoy some quiet by one before the Christmas rush. We stayed in the Annex, a separate small building in the large backyard which was forested. Rustic interior with large king-sized bed, loveseat, tv, fake fireplace, kitchenette (microwave, mini- fridge/freezer, kettle, coffeemaker, dishes, cutlery), bathtub/shower combo and bathrobes. There was a pool and sauna but not open for the winter. Large parking lot with electric charging station. This large property spans across the back to the other block where you can park directly and then walk through the back to the front door. The back door is a private entrance. Owner’s Myriam and Patrick are friendly and gave discount coupons for nearby restaurants and cheese at the Abbey. Very knowledgeable about the area and this to do. There have been in Magog for t past 12 years and speak both English and French. Breakfast was filling and started out with coffee or tea, a smoothie, then a yogurt with fruit and granola or a fruit salad cup. The main dish was a croissant with melted cheese, ham and apple and salad or an English muffin topped with eggs and cheese with hash browns and salad. Ended with a small bite of Persian sweet. Quiet and peaceful surroundings. Not a partying place. Felt like I was sleeping in the woods. The B&B was in walking distance to Main Street, restaurants and the ice skating path that goes from one park to another along the lake. I was surprised the front exterior wasn’t lighted up with Christmas lights since it was nearly Christmas. I saw the strings of lights installed though. I heard fluttering in the roof at night so there could be bats in the ceiling of the annex.

The best breakfast we had on our road trip through Quebec, a large room with a deck, a warm pool (open on Sep 30) and the owners go above and beyond to make sure, you have a lovely stay. We will be back for sure!!!

Spacious room, very clean, and with nice thematic decorations. If you have the chance be sure to get the superior queen room with the jetted bathtub for 2! The breakfast was also delicious and comprised of 4 different courses. Finally the host was super friendly and helpful! Overall great value for the money!

We arrived around 17:30, the check in was simple and friendly. They took the time.to explain to us how to use the different amenities at our disposal, gave as a quick where to in terms of restaurant and possible entertainment and left us with our room. The decor was perfect, the jet bathtub divine and the beding beyond comfy. The B&b is located within walking distance of Magog main commercial street so we walked to our restaurant. We both slept like babies as the place is really calm. The breakfast was delicious, with homemade products and localy sourced otherwise. I can only recommend O bois dormant. It was a perfect house for our little romantic getaway! A big thanks to Maryam and Jacques for the welcoming B&b.

This establishment definitely lives up to its rave reviews….our room was immaculate and artfully furnished with many pieces crafted by Patrick..the paintings were colorful and uniquely interesting….and the breakfasts were amazing….creative and delicious! We stayed for three nights and hated to leave…we look forward to our next visit to the Magog area and will stay here for sure…Maryam and Patrick were perfect hosts.

Very comfortable room, very quiet, nice pool out back. Breakfast was plentiful but lacked pizzazz. Great location in center of Magog but on a quiet side street. Good value overall
