Giulia Materia (chlotes etc)

I loved stumbling across this gem of a store run by husband and wife: she makes the clothes and he makes little notebooks. They also feature work by friends, jewelry and beautiful illustrations. He was very helpful in assisting me try things on and answering all of my questions. I love that they use leftover fabrics from other larger companies, what a great concept to reduce waste! I am so happy with the simple dress I purchased (90€), and can recommend all sustainable fashion lovers to stop here while in Florence!

Ahhhh love it. Many handmade pencil bag and bags. All the clothes design are from the artist herself and all the delicate notebook are from her boyfriend:)

Giulia Materia is an incredible place. This is my first Google review ever written, and it just feels right. Beautifully made bags, clothing and more. I went almost two years ago and still wish I had bought more. Giulia Materia I will be back. Forza Viola!!

Stumbled onto this wonderful shop when meandering through Firenze. Great concept, lovely products. We purchased clothing and are so pleased with the style and quality. The salesperson was very helpful and pleasant, as was her sweet assistant (the border collie). If you are interested in unique items, I highly recommend that you find your way to this store.

Passed by the shop by accident, and was so happy we got inside! Amazing handmade bags and wallets and much more, definitely wanted to buy the whole store! Giulias partner welcomed us and was so nice! Can’t wait to visit again 🦕💘⭐️

Such a sweet shop, in a really cute part of town. Giulia is the designer; when we went, her French husband was running the shop. Just the way he spoke about Giulia--with such respect and admiration--made me want to buy everything! It was a little out of my price range, but everything was so unique and well-made, it'd be worth the splurge. My girlfriend bought a shirt that she wears all the time. I really liked Giulia's bags made with upholstery remnants and the colorful cotton shirts she sews.

Quality handmade items sold by lovely people. A really unique place! I bought a beautiful dress there and am really content with its looks, quality and fair production.
