"This picturesque village, about 80 kilometers from Paris, is famous as Claude Monet’s home and garden—the landscapes here practically walk you through scenes from his most famous paintings. I recommend visiting Monet’s house and the art museum and taking a leisurely stroll through the water garden and surrounding grounds; many other Impressionist artists were drawn here as well. Giverny is roughly a 90-minute drive via the A15 or A13, tours with transport and entrance run about 71 EUR, the site (84 Rue Claude Monet) is open April 1–November 1 from 9:30am–6pm (last admission 5:30pm), and adult admission is 12 EUR." - Matthew Kepnes
Visited the Claude Monet gardens and house, if you like gardens this place was fantastic. Very very busy, so did not see much of the house. Well worth the visit, but, plan well ahead to try and avoid the crowds. Couple of cafes along the way. A fab day out.

The gardens are pretty, but there’s experience goes downhill with the over booking of the tickets. Giverny’s supposed to feel like stepping into a painting, not dodging elbows and overheard chatter. Paying to be in a queue more than looking around makes no sense, there’s a lot of pretty gardens to go to.

My photos look like a Monet painting! Monet was quite the gardener I loved going to the house and the whole experience. We rode bikes there and it all felt so “villagey.” The gift shop was really crowded, but it has so many beautiful things.

I recommend to visit it if you like the impressionists. No waiting time. The exhibition is not so long to visit so take your time to enjoy the art. Fee - 12€ adult

One of the best experiences in my life. The gardens were just absolutely stunning and I loved being able to dwell through his home. Such a mensch! Such an artist! And what a privilege to travel back in time and get a glimpse of what life was like for this incredible visionary. I would definitely want to get back again. Do buy your tickets beforehand! They do very good crowd control. We wandered through the magnificent rose garden but I was particularly stunned by the beauty of the many varieties of poppies! An absolute must see. The waterlilies were not in bloom when I was there yet one could visualise Monet painting them there, showing off their dainty beauty on the cobbling water in the pond with the green bridge in the background. Oh Monet!

I loved seeing his gardens. Very beautiful. It was fascinating to see how this place influenced the works of art he created.

It’s one of the most beautiful places to be in the north of France. Villages close by too provide you with their mesmerising charms. Best visited, mid of April, as the garden is on its peak of blossoms. ❤️❤️❤️

One has to see it apparently. Felt very overcrowded. The garden is beautiful and Monet's collection of Japanese art was a nice surprise.
