It's as nice as you would expect, but also very hot. The pyramids are such a wonder! No wonder it's called as such. Consider a camel ride for about $10 if you're a tourist, $4 if you're an Egyptian.

The Pyramids of Giza stand as timeless icons of ancient Egyptian civilization and remain one of the most awe-inspiring wonders of the world. Located just outside Cairo, this extraordinary complex — featuring the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the Pyramid of Khafre, and the Pyramid of Menkaure — offers visitors a profound connection to human history, engineering marvels, and mystery. Visiting the pyramids is a breathtaking experience. The sheer scale and precision of the stone blocks, some weighing several tons, continue to baffle experts and inspire wonder. Walking around the plateau, you can sense the immense labor, vision, and spiritual significance that these structures embody. Beyond the pyramids themselves, the nearby Sphinx adds to the enigmatic atmosphere, with its imposing lion’s body and human head watching over the desert landscape. Several visitor options include guided tours, camel or horse rides, and access to interior chambers (though the latter can be limited). While the site can be busy with tourists, especially during peak seasons, the vastness of the area allows for moments of quiet reflection. Be prepared for the desert heat and bring water, sun protection, and comfortable shoes to fully enjoy your visit. The Pyramids of Giza are not just monuments — they are gateways to understanding one of the most fascinating civilizations in human history. A must-see bucket-list destination for travelers worldwide.

Beautiful experience. If it’s your first time visiting book through Get your guide or Klook and get a private experience. We had a great guide who helped up navigate through all the places and a stop at the papyrus shop and oil shop.

Visiting the Giza Plateau near Cairo is an awe-inspiring experience that brings you face-to-face with some of the most iconic monuments of human history. The site is dominated by the Great Pyramid of Khufu, along with the pyramids of Khafre and Menkaure, which have stood for over 4,500 years. Walking among these immense structures, one is struck by their precise geometry, scale, and the incredible effort it must have taken to construct them with ancient tools. The Great Sphinx, carved from a single limestone outcrop, adds a sense of mystery to the plateau. Its human head and lion body symbolize strength and wisdom, and despite centuries of erosion, the monument exudes an almost timeless presence. Seeing it in person highlights its massive proportions and the skill of ancient Egyptian artisans. Beyond the monuments themselves, the surrounding desert landscape enhances the experience. The contrast between the golden sand, the monumental stones, and the bustling city of Cairo in the distance creates a surreal and almost cinematic atmosphere. Walking among these structures encourages reflection on human achievement, culture, and the passage of time. With informative signage and nearby guides, one gains not only visual impressions but also historical understanding, making the visit both educational and profoundly moving.

The Pyramids are one of the most amazing architectural wonders in the world. The area itself is impressive and full of history. Unfortunately, it is not very clean, and the surroundings feel a bit neglected. A site of such historical and cultural importance truly deserves better care and professional maintenance to preserve it for future generations.

Bring a hat, bring 2 bottles of water, one to drink and one to pour on your head!!! Make sure you have sunscreen on before arriving, too many tourists without a hat or sunscreen and are bright red at the end of visiting the AMAZING PYRAMIDS! Great way to get sick and ruin the next day in Amazing Egypt.

it feels surreal to finally see the one of the 7 wonders of the world in person 💕It has always in my bucketlist to come here & yes we made it. The Pyramid of Giza, one of the most iconic structures in the world, often evokes a sense of awe and wonder. However, upon closer inspection, it becomes evident that much of the original material has been lost to time. Many of the bricks that once formed the grand façade have been stripped away, leaving the pyramid looking less magnificent than it might have been in its heyday. Despite this, what truly captivates my imagination is the sheer determination and ingenuity of the ancient Egyptians. Constructed over 4,500 years ago, the pyramid stands as a testament to their remarkable engineering skills and knowledge of mathematics. The fact that they managed to build such a colossal structure without the technology we take for granted today is nothing short of extraordinary. While the current state of the Pyramid of Giza may not seem particularly special at first glance, it serves as a powerful reminder of human achievement and the rich history that surrounds it. The craftsmanship, labor, and organization required to create this wonder are what make it truly significant. as for the camel ride & horse ride I think its part of the locals livelihood but the camels & horses looks abused. it really breaks my heart that they have to endure the weight of the people moving back & forth to the desert. we had a horse ride & we regret it , the horse was over 20 years old & looks so tired he even got a wond on his right eye. they even keep hitting him so he can run faster 😭 I hope the authorities should also look after the welfare of these animals

At least once in your life you need to see this ! The excursion started in Cairo and before arriving to the pyramids we had a stop to have the meal . Place from we could see the top of the pyramids . Speechless ! I can still remember and feel that moment even now! The pyramids , that i have seen only in history books and movies , and I was there . We came from Hurghada , 6 hours with the bus , and I don't regret ! Totally worth .
