The beach is great and clean but the road down to it is very challenging. If you don't have an off road car, you have to walk to get to the beach and park the car at the parking on the hill. If you have an off road car, note that the road has a lot of stones and no side protection barriers. It's very difficult when 2 cars are exchanged because the road is narrow. The canyon is an extra beauty added.

Quite a nice beach with several bars and a camping. Sunbeds and umbrellas available. Gjipe canyon, which leads to this beach, is beautiful and worth a hike (with good shoes)

The road to get here fits one car only so you need good driving skills, the parking is around 4/5€, mostly in the sun. You need hike down 20/30 minutes max to a beach with what I believe is illegal umbrellas placed by clandestine people, most of them at least. Dont pay more than 10€ for an umbrella. If you arrive early in the morning and dont plan staying long, on the other side of the beach from where you come down there is a rocky cliffside with places where you can stay in the shade (like caves) but it is protected from the sun only until the evening. there is only one good restaurant and it is the very small one as soon as you come down with only a few tables, the others are horrible and overpriced. Definetly visit the canyon, must have shoes, a lot of climbing if you want to go all the way, takes skill and training. Good luck

Nice beach about 2h north of Ksamil, close to Himarë. From the parking you walk around 20mins mostly downhill to reach the beach. It’s not as touristy as other beaches align the coast. Some two or three bars/restaurants were down at the beach. The water is super blue. Do remember it’s not a sandy beach. The road to the parking (400lek) only has one lane, so you do have to be careful with traffic coming from the opposite direction.

Absolutely beautiful beach but so sad how this beach is treated. Do not come here, filled with trash all over, they do not respect the wildlife and trash dumped all over the place and even dumped in the ocean and couldn’t even swim

Absolutely amazing water, there is two parts where there is space to lay down without paying for sunbeds: right at the bottom of the path and at the farthest part of the beach, where the caves and a nice stretch of sand is. Only 4x4s go down the path from the parking, it is truly not car friendly as there are huge rocks and holes. For the rest of us mortals, prepare for the return back to the parking lot, it gets hot and sweaty really quickly. The parking lot is 200 lek for scooters. The boats should be banned of playing loud music, it is truly horrendous and disturbs everyone.

The road to the parking spot is one way so you need to know how to riverse with the car! There some resting spots in every 100m or 200m so you need to stop there and let the other cars past by. A bit scary road so you have to have good nerves. The parking costs 400LEK and the road down to the beach is rocky so be careful! Maybe not best choice for people with leg problems. The view is really nice tho. Bring water because you'll need it climbing back up! The sun chair costs 1000LEK (10e) which is ridiculous. They sell some water and drinks and french fries there but no icecream.

🌴 What is Gjipe Beach? Gjipe Beach is a hidden gem on the Albanian Riviera, located between the villages of Dhërmi and Himarë. It’s a stunning beach nestled at the mouth of Gjipe Canyon, known for its wild nature, crystal-clear waters, and peaceful atmosphere. ⸻ 📍 Where is it? • Location: Southern Albania, Ionian Sea coast • Nearest towns: Dhërmi (15–20 minutes by car), Himarë (30–40 minutes) • Coordinates: Approximately 40.1418° N, 19.6792° E ⸻ 🚗 How to Get There? 1. By Car + Hike • Drive on the SH8 coastal road and follow signs toward “Gjipe.” • The last part is a rough dirt road leading to a small parking . • From there, it’s a 30–40 minute hike to the beach. The trail is rocky and unshaded, so bring water and good shoes. 2. By Boat • You can also take a boat or water taxi from Dhërmi or Himarë directly to the beach. • This is the easiest and most scenic route, especially during summer. ⸻ 🏖️ What to Expect • Crystal-clear turquoise waters • White sand and small pebbles • No big hotels or buildings – just nature • Great for camping, swimming, and snorkeling • Nearby caves and the Gjipe Canyon for hiking and exploring ⸻ 🛑 Things to Know • No road access directly to the beach • No large shops – bring food and water • Best time to visit: May to September • There’s a small beach bar and sometimes camping tents
