The US Is Leaving UNESCO: Here’s What Comes Next | Condé Nast Traveler
"Managed by the National Park Service, Alaska's Glacier Bay National Park exemplifies the U.S. World Heritage sites that may lose international support and funding as the U.S. steps away from UNESCO; with the NPS already facing sweeping staff layoffs and domestic funding cuts — including nearly a 25% loss of permanent staff in 2025 — there are worries about reduced technical expertise and resources needed to conserve World Heritage values." - Elissa Garay
"A national park in Alaska known for its glaciers and marine wildlife." - Lydia Mansel

"Also turning 100 is the unrelentingly beautiful Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve (which became a national monument in 1925), filled with rugged mountains, wild coastline, and abundant wildlife. It is the ancestral land of the Huna Tlingit people, who in recent years have collaborated with the National Park Service to restore previously suppressed oral histories and cultural traditions."
"For pure, natural beauty, Alaska is hard to top, and viewing Glacier Bay from the water only enhances that — there are no rapids or whitewater off the shores, but you can spot glaciers, puffins, sea lions, and even orca or humpback whales. I recommend booking an overnight trip during the summer (a must); make sure to register for a free permit." - Evie Carrick

There was a mini ice age and the glacier extended 65 miles further in 1750 that it does today.

True experience to nature and you can hear the serenity of the area. It's very soothing to just sit and enjoy the surrounding. This glacier doesn't have the roaring thunderous expulsion of ice but rather a calm atmosphere
