I absolutely loved this campground. The sites are close together so expect to have neighbors, but all in all everyone's very respectful. We got very lucky and had wonderful neighbors! The little store was so nice, the front desk receptionist was so incredibly helpful with providing maps and ideas to take around glacier. This is a quiet place and would be great for families. The showers are clean 👌 but small as this is camping. Be happy there is a showroom 😆

We stayed here 4 nights and loved the location. It was so close to the park and loved being in the woods. The bathrooms were well kept and had nice hot showers. The main office is so cute with free fast wifi. We will definitely come back here again someday. Also, the Sunflower Cafe was very good. My husband loved the brisket and they had a vegetarian/vegan option for me which was very good. I was expecting to just eat sides for dinner.

We had a wonderful stay at Glacier Campground, just outside the West Entrance of Glacier National Park! The staff/owners were incredibly friendly and even gave us a golf cart tour so we could pick out our preferred campsite from a few extra options. They took the time to go over all the details on how to experience the park with the least amount of hassle, which really helped us plan our days and make the most of our trip. They were very accommodating, treated us like valued guests, and made us feel right at home. Highly recommend staying here for your Glacier National Park adventure!

Our group took advantage of the cabin rentals. What a beautiful well kept campground! We heard the train through the night but it was not troublesome at all. The bathroom/shower buildings are older but always clean. Staff is top notch! Friendly and helpful.

Very nice people and a nice location ... The train is ridiculously loud all night... I'm from Los Angeles and it was ear plugs and a little bit of stress. Now there's not a trash can in the entire site except down at the office, which is a ways down a steep hill. Nice people at the office but it's far. The laundry is excellent and the showers are okay if it's not busy. The place is clean and well kept and there's a barbecue restaurant on site. Yes they could redo the bathrooms with the prices. They charge, real tourist prices for West glacier which has become a tourist playground. Again very clean. Everyone is very nice and happy to take your money. They also have a propane and sewage dump which is very convenient, this place is a great idea and is very convenient but put trash cans up on the hill and put a fund together to build a bridge so the train doesn't have to blow that darn whistle so loud every time it crosses West glacier. ✌️🤠

My friends and I just recently completed a National Park Trip where our last stop was in Glacier National Park. This campground is a gem! Cannot say how nice it was just to relax and enjoy the hot showers! It also helps the best food is only a walk away! Breakfast, Lunch Dinner the cafe here is amazing!

Google
You cannot beat this location for Glacier Park. It was 5 minutes from our campsite to West Glacier. The camp site was nice and the staff was great! Very friendly and helpful. The price was on the high side but you expect that with a location like this. The Sunflower cafe was great for dinner, we got the sampler platter with brisket, pork ribs, and pulled pork and it was enough for 3 hungry adults with some left over. I highly recommend the dinner there at least one night. The drinks were great too! Our site had power and water, no sewer. They do have a pump out service for an additional fee. I can only mention 2 low points keeping me from giving this place 5 stars. 1. The shower rooms and bathrooms are dated and need some upgrades. Better changing areas for each shower and more counter space is needed. The bathrooms were clean and well stocked. 2. There seems to be a music venue next to the campground, some nights had loud music playing until after 11pm. it wasn't too bad where we were but camp sites to the northwest side of the park would be bothersome. We also heard an occasional train going by but it wasn't too loud and didn't bother us.

Google
This campground was so cute and the location was 5 min from the west gate e trace to Glacier National Park! There was a little playground our girls loved, the camp site was heavy treed and the perfect size. The office staff were incredibly kind and helpful. They have a little gift shop on site that has local made crafts like soaps, jewelry, magnets, super cute T-Shirts and even a tiny thrift shop corner. The bathrooms are a wee bit tiny and the showers are laid out a little odd, but they are spotlessly clean. It was a great spot to camp. We would absolutely stay here again.

Yelp
This is a fantastic campground located 1 1/2 miles from the Going-to-the-Sun Road in west Glacier National Park. The service staff is great, there is an onsite cafe (Sunflower Cafe), showers, electric/water hookups, dump station, and large play area. Sites vary from tents to RVs to Cabins, with a maximum RV length of 32'. Our motorhome is 32' with two slides and our site was just right. It was very level for parking, has a fire ring and picnic table (all the tables in the park are in good condition & freshly painted). Some sites are not as level, but they accommodate a wide range of RV & tent campers. The Sunflower Cafe serves breakfast, lunch and dinner in the outside dining area or to go. We had the beef brisket one night and a breakfast sandwich one morning. Both meals were delicious. Although we are in Montana and were expecting to see a lot of pro-GOP/anti-Dem flags & attitudes, we were pleasantly surprised to see none! Our camping neighbors were a nice gay married couple who were super friendly. Liberals, gays and other progressive people would be very comfortable here, as would those not-so-woke. Price-wise they are cheaper than the nearby KOA and are a great option for those who don't camp in the park. We paid $302 (with AAA discount) for 4 nights.

Yelp
We stayed here twice now (8 years apart) and it was just as nice this time as it was then. Glacier Campground accommodates both campers and tents. They've upgraded services for water and electric, with most sites having both. There's a dump site available for campers/trailers. The campground is only a couple minutes from the west entrance to Glacier N.P., which is ideal for getting into the park early, especially if you're planning on trying to get to Logan Pass before the lot fills up. Being situated on Highway 2 also makes it easy to get to Columbia Falls, Whitefish and Kalispell. The facilities were very clean, with the bathrooms/showers cleaned daily. There's also laundry available on site, which was helpful while camping with two toddlers. If you're not looking to cook a meal, the Sunflower Cafe has you covered. They're open 8a-1p then 5:30p-9p, Wed-Sun. Though we didn't get a chance to eat there, the options looked solid. Plus, if you're looking for a cold adult beverage, they have you covered there too. So long as this campground is in existence, we will be back!

Yelp
Everything was awesome! Super friendly and kind! Beautiful level, large camp spot! So close to the Glacier Park entrance! Camped here 3 times and hope to every year!

Nancy P.

Yelp
Beautiful surroundings, nice sites, friendly staff. Check-in is easy and quick. Great communication with the campground. Roads do get a bit steep. If you have a problem pulling on inclines, reserve something down lower. This campground serves all types of camping. Campground has a cute restaurant that is open Wed.-Sun. There are laundry facilities, showers and restrooms, propane refill, and a dump station. This site is very busy, so reserve early.

Nancy C.

Yelp
the BEST campground in all aspects! New level campsites! Super private! Super clean! Best staff ever! Really thoughtful and so accommodating! So close to Glacier National Park! We've enjoy every part of our stay for 2 years now and are booked for next year already!

Yelp
Great place to stay plenty of shade, quite, clean, friendly staff. Some sites are on the small side, but room between with great trees. Close to everything you want in Glacier.

Gaylene H.

Yelp
A beautiful campground. Trails clearly marked. Rangers were available, kind and helpful.

Juanita M.

Yelp
Close to the West Glacier entrance. Staff is friendly and helpful. We had a good size campground which was able to accommodate our 5th wheel. Lots of trees give privacy to sites. Highly recommend.

Yelp
This is a great campground for tent camping, RV's or small sleeping cabins. The grounds are maintained very well and bathrooms and showers are good. There is a great cafe, on site, with decent BBQ and great atmosphere.

Jack B.

Yelp
One of the best campgrounds i've been to so far! The front desk ladies were very kind and helpful with any questions I had. Clean bathrooms and showers, and very cool woodland vibes from this campground. They have a nice camp shop as well, with teas, firewood, and other goodies for sale. 10/10 recommend for anyone who is going to Glacier National Park and needs a place to stay!
google avatar

Carrie R.

Yelp
It's like camping in the forest, except you have bathrooms! When we arrived the ladies in the office were very friendly and helpful for hikes and what to do near by! All the spots were very clean and level for our tent. The bathrooms were also clean and the showers are free. Don't forget to stop in at the cafe they have for the best coffee!

Yelp
We loved this campsite! Our site was plenty big for our RV. The picnic table was worn but we didn't use it. It was nice to have a fire pit and make s'mores! It was peaceful in the woods and nice to walk around the site. The check in lady was super friendly! The only dump area is by the office and we had someone waiting behind so we felt rushed. We were in A-9 site and it was fantastic! Sprint and T-Mobile worked there. Cafe was only opened Tues-Sun but their food was good. No generator or air compressor at any times but we had hook up so we were good. The only complaint I had about the site was you could hear a train every now and then but it wasn't bad as other places we've stayed at. I would definitely stay here again!

Samantha V.

Yelp
The campsite is somewhat pleasant if you like hearing everything everyone says around you. The sites are right on top of each other and you have zero space. Bathrooms are pretty grimy and you leave them feeling even more gross then when you walk in. To make matters worse the owner/manager is one of the rudest people i've ever encountered. She spoke to my group as if we were toddlers and had zero respect or manners towards us. Honestly don't recommend if you want to have an enjoyable camping experience.

Yelp
The View from our window was INCREDIBLE!! We were nestled in the forest at the top of the hill in a lush green cacoon; it was like living in the Emerald City in the Wizard of Oz. And the owners were amazing! When our toad died on the vine, they came up the hill with an enormous battery charger, charged our battery up and helped us on our way! We cannot recommend this campground highly enough! Even the mosquitoes aren't as big as the ones in Minnesota!! And, if you like dogs, bring a big bone for Otis, The Wonder Dog. Thanks for everything; we'll be back next time we're in the area.

Yelp
Ruby and the team at Glacier Campground are the finest of hosts. Rolled up to the site late on a Wednesday without a reservation. Ruby helped with checkin at an unused spot and we tacked in an extra week's stay in the morning. Lodge cat Lefty became a good friend while working from the lobby WiFi during the days. Clean bathrooms, well-spaced sites, firewood for sale. Stone's throw away from the west glacier entrance, across the street from Wandering Gringo (great super burrito), and proximate to rafting, riding, and hiking. Thank you Ruby and co. for the wonderful experience in NW MT! Hope to visit again soon.

Yelp
I wanted to like this place. The staff was very friendly, it was close to the west entrance of GNP, the bathrooms were clean. However... 1. our camp site was the size of a postage stamp. I had to back in twice just to figure out how I was going to access my car. We barely had room to walk around. 2. There was a train that passed by in the area and blew it's horn ALL NIGHT. 3. I may have been able to sleep through the train but I couldn't sleep through the rude annoying loud people all around me every night. We camped three nights and quiet hour was not enforced or respected. People laughed, shouted, carried on until past 1am. We did not rest at all. 4. There was one dishwashing sink and it was located up by the office. We had to drive to wash our dishes. 5. Two bathrooms for 175 sites. Awkward showers with a curtain system. I wouldn't stay here again.

Yelp
They were willing to let us go on a day by day basis due to the forest fire closing down Glacier Natl Park. No hassle and no fuss. Spots are nice except for the odd set up of water and power. Depends on what side of your camper you need to plug in..showers are nice and toilets are kept clean. Have a cafe on site for breakfast. Friendly owners too!

Yelp
I really enjoyed this campground. We stayed for 2 nights in June in a truck camper. Unfortunately, several areas of the campground were having plumbing issues, so no water. However, we were one of the lucky ones with water - woot! While most of the spaces are actually quite close together, you don't feel it because it is heavily wooded. That said, our spot would've been a bit frustrating if we had a neighbor - the picnic tables and fire pits were literally 4 feet apart. Thankfully - no neighbors for our 2 nights! The office staff was very kind and they do sell firewood as well. This is a great location with incredible proximity to Glacier Park and we were able to get reservations a few weeks prior to our trip, unlike the campgrounds within the park. In fact, as I mentioned, we had no neighbors so they could've accommodated more visitors! Highly recommend.

Yelp
Incredibly hospitality and a great "everyone is family" environment. I stayed an additional night just because it felt so safe and tucked away from the madness of most glacier campgrounds. My only complaint was that the tent site itself was quite slanted and I had quite a bit of mud slide up onto the side of my tent. All it needs is a good grading and it'll be perfect though. The cafe on site was fantastic with the best coffee of my trip. I will definitely stay again when I return.

Yelp
Beautiful wooded private campground just one mile from the west entrance to Glacier NP (Apgar). Full hookup sites and several cute cabins (real mattresses! ceiling fans!). Large clean restrooms & showers, quaint on-site cafe. Friendly attentive staff. Totally a stepped-up camping experience.

Andrew L.

Yelp
Great campground for staying right on Glacier National Park's doorstep. Small but good showers and bathrooms, sites are closely spaced but nicely kept. Definitely plan on returning the next time we vacation at GNP.

Jacob C.

Yelp
They went above and beyond what they needed to make sure we had a great stay. I am so grateful to have found this campground. Highly recommend for anyone who can't get a spot in glacier national park.

Lisa N.

Yelp
This campground was very clean, pretty sites and beautiful area. The employees are extremely friendly and helpful. Probably would give a five star if it weren't for two very important things. 1. We were a large group, two R.V. spots snd two cabins. They overbooked the last day of one of our cabins and basically kicked them out. They asked the campground to pay for a hotel and would only cover the half the cost. 2. Their water pressure is so low that half the time there was no water... they state that they are going to put in a new well to keep up with the demand. However they are not sure when they will do it. They have a dump station but the water pressure is too low to flush a tank out. So not exactly sure why we paid for water. I would most definitely call to asked if water pressure has been fixed before reserving a spot or cabin. Also make sure they don't over book your spot.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I stayed in Cabin #6 (the small cabin) for $45 a night for 3 nights. For the most part, it was amazing! You are essentially paying for a smaller empty room with a bed, but to me that makes a world of difference to have a locked door, windows, and an actual bed. You do have to bring your own bedding. There was enough space for all of our stuff, and besides the bed there was 2 windows, a ceiling fan, a lamp, and a small heater. I highly suggest bringing another small fan with you (unless the forecast is colder) because it got very hot at night even with both windows open and the ceiling fan on and our fan that we brought. Our cabin in particular was less than a 30 second walk from the bathrooms and laundry room. The bathrooms and showers are super clean. The showers are small and there are only 2 so sometimes you have to wait. There was a community grill area between our cabin and the one next to ours. The only part about our site that really bothered us is that we thought we had our own fire pit and ended up not using one at all. The pit was behind the cabin to the left behind our parking space and picnic table. After two nights of several other people having fires there, my boyfriend asked and they said the owner said it was a community fire pit. We were frustrated more so with the fact that they all had their own fire pits and we were now left with none. We asked when we checked out and the older lady (I think the owner) said she thought we could just share. Location-wise it is not as close to the park as some that are in or around the park but it was close enough for us and it wasn't too bad of a drive (about 40 min) to Kalispell, one of the few bigger cities in the area. If I was in the area again I would definitely go back to this campground.

Yelp
Hot clean showers and the sunflower restaurant alone deserve 5 stars, but the campsites are clean and my kiddos loved the little playground plus the staff is super friendly. When we come back to glacier we will definitely camp here again!
google avatar

Sylvia H.

Yelp
The staff were very friendly, accommodating and helpful in every way and made our stay very pleasant. They were able to accommodate our stay even though we only gave two weeks notice. The campground itself needs some serious upgrading as a lot of the spots were not big enough for the units stuffed in them, lots unable to put their awnings out. Ours was barely big enough and was difficult to back into as it was so narrow with so many trees on both sides making us have to inch our 5th wheel back and forth to get in. I grew up in a small town having to listen to trains rolling threw a few times a day, it didn't bother me but I can see the hourly train going by would bother some a fair bit more than others!

Yelp
Beautiful, wooded campground -- clean bathrooms, nice showers, laundry. Super friendly folks, car rental across the street for park sight seeing at Heliport. Would definitely stay here again :-)

Lesly E.

Yelp
We have stayed here twice and rented a cabin. We like this campground because it is close to the park entrance on the West side and it has great prices. There is a restaurant on site that serves great dinners. Each time we have been there a different vendor has run the restaurant - both times were great. We will go again and recommend this campground when traveling to Glacier NP.

Carol H.

Yelp
After booking at Lake Five "resort" up the street and staying one night, we were desperate to get out of there. Lake Five was way too crowded, people packed in like sardines. Noise all night with large groups of people partying late into the night. We drove to Glacier Campground with fingers crossed that they would have a site available. Luckily, they took pity on us and got us in for 2 nights. It was wonderful! The sites aren't really large, but they're semi private. Lots of trees QUIET and DARK. What a relief to be able to move from Lake Five. The staff at Glacier was very nice and accommodating. My only negative comment is the bathroom wasn't very big, with only two toilets and two sinks. But the shower was great- very clean and lots of hot water. If you are coming to Glacier to relax, I'd pick this campsite. If you're coming to party all night, Lake Five is your place.

Michelle L.

Yelp
We loved our stay in Glacier Campground so much that we stayed an extra night. We were highly impressed that such a busy campground was remarkably quiet and clean. We were tent camping and had plenty of space. Plus our site bordered a nice wooded area, which made it extra peaceful. The bathrooms were clean and had plenty of hot water. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
google avatar

Margaret F.

Yelp
Nice staff and clean bathrooms. Pretty nice clientele that we saw -- all quiet at night and clearly there to get up early and enjoy the park. Campsites are small, relatively closely spaced, and tidy; not really for those who want to feel alone or hardcore. We'd go back, and in fact extended our stay from one night to two (rather than take our chances getting a spot in the park).

Ann T.

Yelp
This campground is beautiful. The sites are very nice and wooded. It is a great place to camp close to Glacier National Park. The owners of the campground are super helpful and kind people.

Yelp
we waited until the day before our summer trip to Glacier to book a place to stay. there were spots available here and it got decent reviews, so we gave it a go. the staff was so friendly. the campsite was nice and wooded and close to the bath house. it was quiet(other than the train that goes by about hourly). there is even a little breakfast cafe that is open weds-sun. we decided to get breakfast on our final day(to cut down on our clean-up) it was great. a nice atmosphere. I highly recommend staying here vs in the park.

Yelp
I was staying in Apgar campground but heard you could go here to shower for $5 so I thought, heck yeah! First of, my group and I stop and pay the fee at the office. Then we head to the showers and they are filthy. Floors were covered in mud and there were no curtains in the showers. Ew. So I go to turn the water on and there's a sign that says the water takes a while to warm up..who knew it would never actually warm up. I stood in the coldest shower I've ever taken and quickly washed my hair and got out of that ice cold shower. I quickly got dressed and headed over to the sinks to do my make up while the others in my group suffer the same cold shower I went through. All of a sudden, the maintenance man pokes his head in and starts barking at us that the bathroom is closed for cleaning and we need to leave. First of all, no one told us that at the office when we paid. Secondly, there were no signs indicating that the bathrooms were closed so how is anyone supposed to know. I would have been happy to pack up my things so he could do his job but it was so unnecessary of him to yell at us like that. I spent only 30 minutes at this campsite to shower and I will NEVER return for any reason.

Fire Mom W.

Yelp
Great campground! Spots are nice and wooded - staff is very friendly and helpful. Bathrooms and laundry area was nice and clean. West glacier entrance is only 1 mile away. I would definitely recommend this campground to all my friends. Only have water and electric but there is also a dump station. Will definitely be coming back!

Shan F.

Yelp
We travelled around the whole west side of Glacier National Park, and this by far was the best campground! You aren't packed in like rats. The bathroom and showers are clean and have no oder. We're right next to one. The price is very reasonable and the owners very accommodating! I highly recommend this campground.

J M.

Yelp
No water pressure, narrow sites. Over priced for OLD park, electrical breakers went out tree times..RUDE woman in office , maintenance . man did not know how to replace breaker and had none in stock..Park in disrepair Their answer "Well it is a 30 year old park"
