This Peaceful Island Has Wild Horses, Bald Eagles, and Bighorn Sheep—and It Neighbors Glacier National Park

"A local coffee stop recommended as a provisioning point before heading to the island — popular for takeaway items like a huckleberry scone to bring on a picnic or paddle." - Anna Staropoli

Google
Really good coffee and amazing coffee shop. Roast there beans on site which is really nice to see. Even though they were packed when we were there, the staff was super friendly and helpful. The food was also really good and they source local ingredients as well. I would highly recommend checking them out.

Google
Breakfast wrap is fantastic. The coffee is great!!! Nice music great atmosphere. A little busy so service was slow but they were absolutely marvelous.

Google
Hands down, the best kept secret for a quick, healthy, delectable breakfast, snack or lunch. Also, I love their cooler of delicious drinks; both alcahol and non, as well as their delicious coffee and tea choices. Yum!! Glacier Perks never lets me down.

Google
Incredible coffee! Tasty bites and great gifts. Cozy atmosphere and walking distance to the lake!

Google
Disappointed! Asked and paid for an 8 ounce coffee. Was presented with a tiny cup. I said that isn't 8 ounces. Was met with reassurance that it was indeed 8 ounces, which was obviously wrong. Measured it at home and it was 5 ounces. Please correct this Glacier Perks. The coffee was weak and tasteless. Had 2 desserts, they were OK, nothing special

Google
We stopped at Glacier Perks Coffee House before a hike, and while the wait was definitely on the longer side, the food and coffee were worth it. Everything we ordered tasted great and gave us the fuel we needed for the day. It’s clear they’re doing their best, but the time it took to get our order could use some improvement. That said, it’s peak season and the line was out the door—so the delay is understandable. Just plan for a little extra time, and you’ll be good to go!

Google
This little coffee shop is adorable—cozy, charming, and perfect for a slow morning or catch-up with a friend. The food is absolutely amazing (seriously, everything we tried was delicious), and the staff couldn’t be friendlier. The coffee is solid, too—nothing overly fancy, but definitely good. The biggest downside is that the service is very slow. No matter what you’re ordering, budget at least 45 minutes. We did find that placing an online order sped things up slightly, so that might be the way to go if you’re in a hurry. Overall, it’s a great spot if you’re not in a rush. Worth a visit for the food alone—but just know what you’re walking into.

Google
This place gets five stars because I have yet to come across another coffee shop that fries eggs to order for breakfast sandwiches. No frozen egg patties! My mom and I stopped here on our way out of town and everything tasted pretty good.

Yelp
Found this spot on our last day on a recent vacation to Glacier National Park and so wished we'd found it sooner! Glacier Perks serves up delightful specialty coffees and high quality, fresh eats in a charming little shop. When we were in, I got their s'mores mocha, which was a smoky version of other shops cloyingly sweet options. It was chocolatey, the espresso was beautifully rich, and the smokiness added the perfect s'mores kick. For my breakfast, I got their avocado toast. Hearty, freshly baked toasted bread topped with pesto aioli, sliced avocado, and pico--it was fresh, flavorful, and delicious. I wasn't convinced the pico would be a good addition but it was pitch perfect. The service was friendly. The shop is very small. We were able to find a spot to sit and enjoy but on a busy morning, I could see this being challenging. Some of the best coffee and breakfast bites in the area!

Yelp
So yummy! Service was quick considering how long the line was, this place is absolutely popular for a reason. And the coffee roaster was in house! Super fresh, and super cute interior.

Yelp
Super cute coffee spot in Lakeside - the gals at the counter are really friendly and fun! I ordered a mocha and asked for a little cayenne to give it a kick, and they offered to steam it in the milk for me. So delish! Also ordered the breakfast bowl - both to go, and sooo good!

Iris B.

Yelp
Great everything!! Best scones, coffees teas, and sandwiches. Many other items available from Montana vendors!

Amy L.

Yelp
Extremely, extremely slow. Took an hour to get a breakfast sandwich and avocado toast. Staff members standing around, seems they need a better system. Also very overpriced. One slice of avocado toast $10.
google avatar

Chelsea L.

Yelp
Food was phenomenal and the girls at the counter were so friendly and personable. Everything was very fresh. Prices are reasonable for the quality of food/beverages. The dining area was very clean with a warming ambiance. 10/10!
google avatar

Yelp
An adorable coffee shop with cute trinkets! Coffee was good, breakfast sandwich with the sriracha aioli was delicious. Good seating nearby to enjoy the views with your coffee!

Yelp
We were driving the 93 South alongside beautiful Flathead Lake and Glacier Perks is on the lake side in Lakeside. It's an inviting space with a small space for dining in and lots of cute merch on the shelves. We ordered an artichoke quiche, a huckleberry vanilla scone and a cinnamon roll. Also a macadamia chai with oat milk and a latte. The quiche, though warmed, could have been hotter. The scone was delicious, studded with bright huckleberries and moist yet crisp around the edges. The cinnamon roll was gigantic and would have been better warmed. They were going to give us some cream cheese frosting but instead gave us a small container of rock hard butter. Still, it tasted pretty good. Drinks were fine. This little place gets very crowded although we did not have to wait too long. Take a little walk down to Volunteer Park, the view is amazing!

Yelp
Good food here, a little pricey for what you get, but with little options in the area, it's worth it. Servers here were nice and attentive. They helped us understand some menu items. Nice small spot, they have gluten free brownies here that my daughter enjoyed having.
google avatar

Caleb C.

Yelp
Calm luh place. Classic coffee shop where things are overpriced and tasting mid, but my experience overall was pleasant and I enjoyed the food.
google avatar

Jenna T.

Yelp
Stopped here on our way to the airport. I had the ham and cheese plain bagel and it was pretty good. My husband ordered the ham and cheese pocket, but it didn't have any ham in it and only potatoes. Not sure if we were given the wrong order or what was going on with that. Frozen lemonade was good.
google avatar

Kelli W.

Yelp
I stopped here after a lengthy drive. It was the perfect place to grab a little pick me up. I ordered a 16 ounce americano with almond milk with was delicious. I also ordered a ham sandwich. The portion was perfect for one person. The person preparing the food did a great job at a bread to meat/lettuce/tomato/onion ratio. Would highly recommend for people traveling through the town.

Yelp
Absolutely wonderful. We had a wonderful vanilla breve with a fresh baked raspberry vanilla lemon glazed scone, and a breakfast sandwich on homemade bread. Yep. It was absolutely amazing. This is a must stop. One of a kind find. Also the young ladies working the counter and making the coffee are super sweet and very nice. My wife commented on how kind and personable they both were. I agree. Really professional and kind employees. A rare find outside of Montana.

Yelp
Breakfast sandwich is to die for! I added avocado to mine. The egg is perfectly cooked so you get a little oozey yolk that spills out. They toast the bread and must use a little garlic butter - yet the bread remains super soft and perfectly squishable. So happy I stumbled across this place next to beautiful Flathead lake.

Traci C.

Yelp
We love to try out local coiffed shops when on vacation and Glacier Perks coffee shop didn't disappoint. The cold and hot coffee were very flavorful and the cinnamon roll fed four. The staff were great and we love the atmosphere. Price was good. We recommend you make a stop if in the area.

Yelp
Reviews got us and while I'm happy we stopped, it's not 5 star experience most are claiming. The coffee is outstanding! Wife did espresso and I did a latte and both were delicious. I'd come for coffee everyday. Food looked really good and baked items we got, a "hot pocket" (oddly NOT hot) and a scone were very good. The real let down is the staff who honestly couldn't care less if you were there or not. Not unfriendly just apathetic. That is, unless you're a "regular." As we stood in line waiting to order, a guy came in and was standing behind us and was greeted warmly and ordered a breakfast sandwich. The guy who I'm guessing is the owner, never acknowledged any others in line and went back to work on the sandwich. Not a huge deal, but it was weird. Additionally, all of the tables were all dirty and we had to get napkins to wipe one down to have our food and coffee. Agian, not a huge deal, just kind of gross. As I mentioned, though, coffee is 1000% worth it. I'd go back and I definitely recommend.

Yelp
Hello delicious coffee and breakfast! The service is quick. And friendly. A solid iced latte and the rest of their options look like a dream. I had an excellent huckleberry vanilla scone. The perfect breakfast in a lovely town. Definitely going back!
google avatar

Yelp
This place is EXCELLENT as far as I'm concerned! They get your coffee JUST right. I'm pretty picky and don't like mine overly sweet, and they're good at getting you enough flavor without it being sickening sweet. And the cinnamon roll? It's as big a round as your HEAD! Make sure you have someone to share that with or you'll go into a sugar coma FOR SURE! But, it's OH. SOOOOOO. GOOD!
google avatar

Stuart D.

Yelp
The staff were nice. The service was slow. The food was mediocre and the pricing was high. Not really worth it.

Yelp
We've previously enjoyed our fresh coffee, cinnamon roles & breakfast sandwiches here, but recently there's been an Attitude of "take it or leave it", especially with one employee, "Rachel". This morning, she completely messed up my Latte :( she made a horrible Latte + she only filled half My Own thermos cup. It was very bitter tasting... it was horrible Yuck!! When I nicely asked her to please have it re-made to my satisfaction, she was immediately combative, argumentative and sarcastic! Her demeanor was very inappropriate, stating, "I made it exactly how You'd requested" actually she didn't listen very closely when I asked for steamed Almond milk as a floater not completely made with almond milk. As the situation quickly escalated, the family business daughter, Marisol came out from the kitchen. She did not calm the friction, but served only to further exacerbate the problem! "Well, I sure do hate to waste this drink" she flippantly replied, "I'll remake it for you, Michael but 0nly this One Time!!" At this point, I just elected to leave as this had become extremely upsetting to me. This certainly isn't my idea of how to treat someone who has been a daily "repeat" customer! Other recent reviews I've read also express this lack of appreciation for their customers! Embarrassing customers is surely N0T a Positive reflection of their 9 years running this local business. Another customer came outside, when I was leaving, to tell me how appalled she was with how rudely they had reacted. She told me she was humiliated too by Rachel who had chastised her for not bringing her own coffee cup, she sarcastically chastised her saying,"You're not being very kind to our planet and won't you please help Save Mother Earth! I called Glacier Perks a short while later to request a call back from the nice owners, Jeremiah or Ashley. Unfortunately, Rachel answered with her 'signature' sarcastic tone, belligerence and rude attitude... telling me she was much too busy running their business to bother with taking or much less relaying my message to the owners. I'm quite sure the Glacier Perks owners would have neither condoned nor tolerated their friends + customers being humiliated or treated in this manner! Why their daughter, Marisol displayed such an Attitude is baffling, as she's usually such an upbeat, genuinely kind young lady? Maybe working alongside Rachel has had a negative influence on her as well as their faithful customers? Two Big Thumbs Down... WAY D0WN! Keep in mind... This is just MY STORY of My encounter! I cant help but wonder just how many others never take the time or effort to post their own personal negative experience(s)? It's very difficult at this time w Covid to find employees who reflect the theme of kindness + appreciation... so my heart does goes out to these Owners!

Yelp
The bearded barista didn't greet us even when standing at his counter. He looked around as if someone else should go before us. I asked him for a recommendation and he looked at me like I was nuts and said "You tell me." It was my first and last time in there. People who have no patience or manners shouldn't be front of the house. I used to manage spa's and know how front of the house should be. He made me feel small and like I was putting him out. It was only me, my husband and one other lady in line. I was going to buy a gift for my daughter but quickly changed my mind. The cinnamon roll has no flavor. Taste like a slightly sweet ball of dough. Get over yourselves!
google avatar

Vicki B.

Yelp
Yay! The roast beef sandwich is back on the menu! Love this lunch or snack and coffee shop! The owner makes his own bread and pastries. And his coffee concoctions put Starbucks to shame!

Patricia T.

Yelp
Great service, comfortable ambiance, and quality coffee and breakfast treats! Would highly recommend!
google avatar

H G.

Yelp
The staff was so kind and the coffee was amazing. It's been a while since I've taken a sip of coffee and said "wow that's good". I'd definitely return here if I passed by.

Janae L.

Yelp
Their breakfast sandwiches and scones are the bomb! But this is not the place to go if you are in a hurry- service is a bit slow.
google avatar

Mae D.

Yelp
My iced mocha was to die for! I didn't get anything else sadly as I had already eaten breakfast, but everything did look good. They also sold local goods as well which I thought was awesome! I just wish we didn't spend all of our money on getting western wear as I do love to support local businesses. I can't wait to come back here for more when we return to MT.

Yelp
8/16/2021 - Excellent food and great place to recharge and replace calories after our many hikes (including a 23 mile day on the Highline trail) in Glacier Nat Park visit this past week. Take out only and eat at the nearby park close to the lake. The breakfast wrap, Avacado toast, huckleberry/lemon scone and Bumbleberry smoothie were delicious. Well done Glacier Peaks Coffee House!
google avatar

Olivia T.

Yelp
We love this little coffee shop by the lake. They have really good, wholesome fresh food and great coffee. Their smoothies are just real fruit too which is so appreciated. We love going here to grab snacks and drinks and eating by the water :)

Ben P.

Yelp
Decent food but slow and rude service. Took almost 30 minutes for a basic breakfast sandwich. I could have made the same thing with my camping gear, eaten it, and cleaned the dishes in the time they made it for me. Would not go back.
google avatar

Linsey K.

Yelp
Come here if you want bomb food! The pastries are so delicious and the sandwiches hit the spot. The owners are so sweet and dedicated to helping the community. Definitely stop here to eat and they also sell shirts, hats, jewelry, candles, etc.
google avatar

Stephanie N.

Yelp
They have an assortment of delicious breakfast and lunch sandwiches/wraps, as well as yummy breakfasts pastries that all looked so tasty. When we arrived, there was a fresh batch of huckleberry scones that just came out of the oven. I couldn't resist, and had to get one. It was honestly one of the most delicious scones I've ever eaten - pure heaven. We also ordered the firecracker scone for 4th of July which was also very yummy. My husband, sister, brother in law and I all ordered lunch sandwiches for the rest of our family (7 total) to go for a day trip to wild horse island. They packed a whole milk crate for us with the sandwiches and chips ready to go and we were able to easily pack it in our boat for our trip. We had an delightful picnic when we got there - the sandwiches were a huge hit with our family! I definitely recommend this place to anyone who is ever in the area!

Lauren B.

Yelp
Incredible sandwiches, ordered the breakfast wrap and BOATS sandwich and was blow. Away. Near a stunning public park with a view of a lake.

Bri'Anne P.

Yelp
Best coffee shop for miles! Great food, great atmosphere, great people! Chloe and Peter are great!
google avatar

Avery S.

Yelp
I love this place! Spent a few days in Lakeside last week and came here almost every day. Staff are friendly and the coffee is AMAZING! If you want to try something fun with a local flavor get a white chocolate huckleberry latte! The food is great too! Loved the scones and the giant cinnamon rolls. Whenever I go back to Lakeside I'll definitely come back to this coffee shop
google avatar

Evelyne V.

Yelp
Home made sandwiches, breakfast and drinks and a super delicious scone! Right next to pic Nic tables loved it! And super nice inside also.
google avatar

Brandon A.

Yelp
Whenever I'm traveling I try to find a spot that makes a good cup of coffee and pastries. This place has good coffee but AMAZING pastries. The cinnamon rolls, which are the size of my face, are delicious and I'm glad I bought two of them even if it means dieting when I get back to Cali. The scones are also deliciously moist and full of flavor. It's a good thing I don't live out here because I would wind up gaining way too much pastry weight. Definitely stop here and grab a cinnamon roll with frosting if you're in the area.
google avatar

jacqueline g.

Yelp
Best buttermilk scone I have ever had. We came back the next day for another before leaving!
google avatar

Laurie T.

Yelp
I'm commenting on more than a single visit to Glacier Perks. Very unwelcoming wait staff. They're there but completely ignoring the customer... looking down and/or talking with another employee. No "hello", no "I'll be right with you", no "May I help you?"... I just don't get it... we're the only 2 customers at the counter?!

Sara N Reggie C.

Yelp
The girls here are so nice and amazing. Love the breakfast sandwiches and all the d ifferent kinds of coffee. Everything has been so good.
google avatar

Ali M.

Yelp
Amazing place! Definitely worth the stop if your coming to the area. I got their breakfast sandwich no meat with siracha aoli and avacado and tasted amazing. Got their white chocolate raspberry scone which was fresh and amazing as well. I didn't get their coffee but my friends told me the chai latte was great. Also got an Italian soda which was really good! Friendly hosts. Overall great experience
google avatar

Lyndsay W.

Yelp
I had a really pleasant time here. The staff is friendly, the food is delicious (the house made bread is surreal), and the coffee is good. A park with beautiful views is just around the corner. Can't go wrong!

Dre B.

Yelp
Not impressed. I got charged extra for meat on a breakfast burrito. And charged extra again for avocado. And again for Sriracha aioli. I don't think something on the menu should be so vegetarian and bland that you need to add the proper ingredients at a up-charge. Got the burrito; still lacked flavor. Asked for 2 sides of straight, uncut Sriracha and was charged another dollar for quite literally 1.5 oz. Aren't you buying it from Sysco by the gallon for $12 maybe $15 ? Glacier Perks is lame.

Caroline M.

Yelp
Great coffee - cappuccino and double espresso . Good cinnamon roll too. Good vibes. Highly recommended for coffee lovers
google avatar

Mary A.

Yelp
We love coming here when in town - such a treat!! Their baked goods are great (especially anything rhubarb!! ) A cute place & nice owners/staff!
google avatar

David W.

Yelp
Stopped in while driving through town looking for some special bread to take home for sandwiches. It was so good we had to come back and enjoy a full lunch. Glacier Perks serves very reasonably priced sandwiches - all served on in-house baked bread. The meats were all freshly carved and the vegetables seemed to be garden fresh. We didn't intend to get any desserts but the variety in the display made it impossible to pass them up. As good as the meals were the service was better - very friendly and engaging. Looks like we will be stopping by again soon - and often.
google avatar

Victoria M.

Yelp
This is the best little coffee house I think I've ever been to the food is fresh goodies are incredible and there are some nice places to sit. The staff is super friendly
google avatar

Ardy N.

Yelp
Visiting our son and family from Washington,he suggested Glacier Perks for coffee and breakfast. Absolutely wonderful food and coffee!! Staff was very friendly. We have eaten here 3 days in a row that's how good it is!! Highly recommended!!

Mat W.

Yelp
GO HERE! Delicious coffee, great staff, THE BEST BLUEBERRY SCONE YOU EVER HAD, massive and massively delicious cinnamon rolls, and an extensive menu stretching into savory things like bowls and wraps. If I could eat anymore here right now, I'd give more taste tested opinions. Again, GO HERE!
google avatar

Yelp
I was in town for my sisters wedding and stopped by this coffee shop in Lakeside. As a Seattle resident, I love a good cup of coffee and am somewhat picky. This was hands down the BEST latte I've had and was fantastic! But the part that blew my mind away was the breakfast sandwich with bacon added to it. If I could describe it in three words, I'd probably just say "OH MY GOD!" This was the absolute best breakfast sandwich I have ever had. I learned from the owners who were extremely personable and working there that day that they bake their bread at the shop. You can tell a lot of effort and a lot of pride went into the food that is made here! Next visit, I'm definitely foregoing my usual latte at Starbucks and instead going to swing by Glacier Perks for some more fantastic food!!
