Glacier Vanille Noire

Delicious ice cream. We tried "vanillie noire" which is good, also basil ice cream, which is more icy than creamy but it does taste good, and the last and we can say THE BEST 👌 ginger curry!

Lovely staff, I just found the texture a bit powdery and the chocolate sorbet was a bit too salty for my taste!

Nice and light sorbet-style ice-cream perfect, and what you’d want, for the hot weather. The staff was friendly too.

Wow, I have to say this is hands down the best ice cream I've ever had! It’s absolutely incredible! Even as someone who’s not usually a huge ice cream fan, this one blew me away. I mixed black vanilla with dark chocolate, and the combination was pure magic! It brought such joy—I can't get over how divine it tasted!

Delicious and super refreshing Gelato. I had my tried and true combo of lemon and raspberry. The raspberry was probably the best I've ever had.

Great icecream except the BLACK Vanilla. It is coloured by 🦑 ink and it has a fishy / salty taste.

Vanille Noir in French translates to Black Vanilla. So there was no doubt in my mind that I had to get the black vanilla to try. It was so tasty and didn't taste much like vanilla. It's a little hard to describe the flavor but the ice cream was creamy and mild with a slight saltiness and because there's some grittiness to the texture, I'd say it reminds me of Oreo ice cream. For a second flavor I got coffee. Wow, strong flavor...loved it! I had ice cream/gelato several times over my weeklong Europe vacation through Italy, France and Spain and I'd say this was one of the best.

I love this place, the flavors of their ice cream is very very good and the portion sizes are great. I tried the vanille noire just for fun, but it actually doesn't have that much flavor. It just looks very nice for photos. They have different flavors every day I believe. They are also very nice, this is my go to spot for ice cream!

Wow! The black vanilla gelato is just amazing. Something about the flavor is so unique and the taste is so refreshing. They only let you get one scoop of the black vanilla, so I also got a scoop of the biscuits gelato - also delicious!

Tourist-trapish sorta affair. My notes say "horrible" but I think it was just that we had high expectations. I wouldn't recommend it though.

Amazing gelato! We had the famous vanilla noir. It's sweet but not sugary. The vanilla is a constant throughout but there's a flavor I'm not familiar with but like! We tried the peanut butter oh wow so good. Caffe is like drinking an espresso from a frozen coffee cup! It's worth the trip from the ship or happen to be in town.

"Why is it you Danes eat so much ice cream?" This was the question we were asked by the owner of Vanille Noire when we told him we were from Denmark. To be honest I have never ever considered that question before and I really have no idea why. It's like asking why does the sun set every day. We just love ice cream! And I will personally eat ice cream year-round even with -10 degrees celsius outside in mid-winter. This does mean that I'm really picky about the ice cream that I do eat. There is really no good reason to waste calories on mediocre or bad ice cream. So after hearing about the black vanilla ice cream, Vanille Noire was just one of those places that I just had to try out. The black vanilla ice cream tastes of strong vanilla and slightly salty. I love the combination - it's even better than salted caramel! So sad that I can't just stop by here whenever I'm in the mood for black vanilla ice cream. We also tried out the pistachio ice cream, so I can verify that it's in general really good ice cream. Really creamy, though it had a tad too compact a density for my taste, but that's really the only thing I could possibly find any problem with.

No doubt this is the best ice-cream store in Marseille. Don't fall for the tourist traps and go straight to this place if you're searching for an ice-cream.

This shop gets it's name from the smoked vanilla ice cream they serve. Its dark grey in color, and quite tasty. I also tried the muscat with saffron which reminds me of "ate moreliano."This shop has a ton of flavors, all of which the owner makes himself. As an added bonus, he speaks good English.
