My Favorite Airbnb in Phuket: A Luxe Under-$200 Loft on a Bustling, Palm-Tree Lined Street

"The Airbnb apartment is located on a steep hill, with a round tunnel leading to a lobby equipped with a small workout room and a 24-hour help desk. The two-bedroom loft features floor-to-ceiling windows with views of palm trees and jungle-like vegetation. The living room area offers a comfortable periwinkle sectional couch with views of fireworks from the nearby Phuket FantaSea theme park. The kitchen is fully stocked, and the primary bedroom upstairs has a king-size bed, a sitting area, and two workspaces. The loft design includes blond wood elements, and the bathrooms feature pebbled flooring and rainfall shower heads. The property also includes a swimming pool and hot tub."

A nice hotel, for the price it was good. Breakfast was actually really good and hit the spot. The AC in our room was a bit temperamental but spacious rooms. TV’s in living area and room. Sofa felt a bit worn in. Rooms were a bit dark too. Patio doors to the outside didn’t feel very sturdy, I reckon I could have broken them quite easily but was only here 2 nights and there was a lock on the room door so it was ok for a temp stay. Bathroom was 10/10, best shower at the hotels I’ve been too. I would stay again tbh

Great hotel. The staff is wonderful and their English is good enough to communicate the basics. Walking distance to kamala market, beach and Magic Carnival. Be aware that walking to some close places involve in walking on the road margins and crossing road needs cautious. Very good breakfast. Comfortable beds. We took a room with a pool and two bedrooms. We didn’t use the pool because the weather was disappointing. In the smaller bedroom, the streamer/TV box didn’t work properly, but we didn’t use it anyway, so we didn’t ask the staff for help because we didn’t want to bother with it. Overall, definitely worth the price.

Our stay at Glam Habitat in Kamala was truly exceptional. The hotel has a perfect location – just a short walk from the beach, in a peaceful area but still close to restaurants and shops. The room was spacious, modern, and very well equipped, and the private pool was a huge bonus, perfect for relaxing after a day out. The staff deserve special mention – always smiling, friendly, and ready to help with anything. Housekeeping was done regularly and very thoroughly, keeping everything spotless throughout our stay. This place combines comfort, luxury, and a warm atmosphere. I would gladly come back and can highly recommend Glam Habitat to anyone looking for a special hotel in Kamala.

Overall, the stay was okay. The place was clean and spacious, which I appreciated. However, the apartment itself was quite dark, and the pool didn’t get any sunlight, so the water was cold. On days with a lot of rain and no sun, it felt especially chilly. Another downside is that the area next to the pool doesn’t have any seating or furniture, which makes it inconvenient if you’re staying with a group and want to spend time outside. On the positive side, the breakfast was buffet-style and turned out to be much better than I expected.

The hotel is located less than 100m from Kamala Beach. It's a smaller boutique hotel, so not too busy..The rooms to the main road can get a fair bit of road noise, but the rooms away from the road are fine. The villas are also away from the road and are great. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Great service. There is a small restaurant on-site with Thai and international cuisine. Breakfast is served there as well. The rooms and villas modern and spacious. Staying at the hotel isn't cheap, but that keeps the noisier party crowd away. Be aware that there's no footpath along the short bit of main road one must walk before turning into Kamala Beach. So, you will walk on the side of a busy road for about 30m.

Hotel needs a bit of an overhaul. There is a QR code in the room, you scan it and it gives you an outdated manual. The shower and tv instructions don’t match what is in the room. The staff helped us out with the shower, but after a few days, the water was coming out of the shower head and rain shower at the same time regardless of setting. They tried to help with the tv but they couldn’t get it to work. The view was either of a page loading or or no connection. They left and never tried to sort out the issue. Curtains in the lounge would randomly open, sometimes they would close, other times stay open. The door behind the couch did not seal properly meaning hot air or rain came in the room. Couch is not comfortable. It is too low to sit on it normally so you need to sit at the back of it with your legs flat out. It is worn and springy. Lighting in the room is not great. Confirmations are outdated. It said our room came with an Xbox (it didn’t), a holding deposit of THB 3000 could be paid either via card or cash. They would only accept cash meaning we had to convert AUD to THB that we weren’t expecting to, then convert it straight back as we were leaving for home that day so lost money in exchange rates. Breakfast didn’t have a lot of choice. Condiments were pineapple jam, marmalade or honey, no rotation with other jams. Staff were very friendly and the bed was comfortable.

Frustrating Experience – Customer Service Needs Serious Improvement Our stay at this hotel was disappointing from start to finish. The location is inconvenient, right next to a busy expressway that you have to walk along to reach the beach. Upon arrival, our room had no hot water—a serious issue for a family with three children. We had to insist on changing rooms, which was already frustrating. We asked the staff to make a commercial gesture to compensate for the inconvenience, but they were completely inflexible. The only thing they offered was one extra hour for late check-out. When I asked if they genuinely believed that one hour was a fair compensation for a family without hot water on the first day, they said yes. That response alone speaks volumes. The rooms are extremely dark, with windows facing a wall. If you’re on the ground floor, it’s even worse—there are no windows at all, making the space feel like a cave. It’s clear that the hotel is more focused on making money than on providing a decent experience for its guests. There’s no concern for comfort, flexibility, or basic hospitality. Would not recommend.

Great location, great service, delicious food, loved the personal plunge pool, beds comfy. Easy walk the beach, shops and night markets. Green hotel - recycling bottles, choice if you want new towels & sheets each day. Laundry service on site ($$$ but they take it and return it - no fuss for you)
