We stayed two nights in one "barrel" and one A-frame. They were very nice! The beds were comfortable (although only one pillow.) The kitchen had two hot plates for cooking, but lots of pots and pans, silverware, glasses, etc. Very clean. Plenty of room for families to eat/ play games/ etc. The reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because of the shower situation. There was one shower for the whole campground and it did not drain well. There are three additional showers but they were not working. There is one washer and one dryer but you must use them after the staff is finished. You are supposed to pay to use them but they are not coin operated so we didn't end up paying... You can rent towels.

Perfect place for camping in our campervan. Stunning views and everything you could want or need for amenities. The staff are super friendly and the place is very well kept. There is a number to call to check in and they were very quick to respond.

Small but comfortable, had everything we needed for a 1 night stay. Delightfully different then the standard hotel option. Plus we golfed the adjacent gold course at midnight so our stay was brief, but uninterrupted. If you are going to make the effort to travel to Vestmann, you might as well stay in an elf hut.

6 guys on a blitz week trip through Iceland, with a visit to Vestmann Island. We opted for the Elf Huts instead of the standard hotel. We were here over night because we were golfing the Vestmann Course at Midnight. So 6 guys with 3 huts hunkered down for a much needed few hours of sleep before our ferry left at noon the next day. These huts were PERFECT, big enough to handle 2 dudes, but small enough to be a complete departure from normal hotel stays. The beds were comfortable, the pillows worked, the portable heaters did their job. It was NOT cheap, but what in Iceland is? Well worth the deviation from the norm.

Place is easy to reach from the harbour also by foot (about 20 mins). Owner is very nice and kind and the experience is overall amazing. But for being a glamping, some things need to be improved: number of toilets first (two aren’t really enough), cleanliness of toilets and shower. The cottage was nice, enough spacious and comfortable.

very nice campsite! we spent three nights there during our roadtrip and were very happy. the setting is beautiful and the town can be reached easily by foot. the common area is very large and well-equipped (spoons were missing a bit) and the toilets/showers are clean.

Great little site with traditional campsites and small cabins. Cabins had heat and electricity. There's a shared kitchen area that's open 24 hours as well as clean bathrooms and shower stalls. Check in was a bit messy as there's not always someone at the front desk. Views of the natural area and nearby golf course are amazing. Great access to nearby hiking trails. As a bonus we had a few sheep grazing around the cabin area.

Great location, the cabins are nestled beneath a large mountain. It was quite the climb but was rewarded with excellent views. The check in process was not easy when you have an out of country phone with no service. We paid extra for linens, one of the bags they gave us smelled like used clothes, we swapped but was still a little nervous using them. There was a small blood stain on the wall beside the bed in the cabin. The floors were very dusty with a lot of hair. The fridge was unplugged when we arrived and was barely cold by the time we left the next day. It's fine if you're just there for the night on the island, but probably wouldn't stay again.
