Glance Hotel In Florence

Close to the train station but not too close where you hear the trains. Centrally located to many restaurants, shops, churches. Has a rooftop pool and bar with a stellar view. Rooms were fantastic. Air conditioning year round for us spoiled and non-acclimated foreigners. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. I'll be coming back here when I return to Firenze. Grazi a tutti allo staff. Also many thanks to Flavio who helped us and showed true professionalism throughout our stay.

Stayed here for 2 nights when visiting my student attending LDM for a semester, 3 of us in a room. Walkable to the sights and close to my student's apartment. Easy access from the airport via tram and short walk. Very kind and helpful staff who went above and beyond to assist with an early morning departure for a flight. Clean, updated and modern hotel.

This hotel deserves more than 5 stars! I rarely write reviews, but I am writing one for Glance Hotel because they were absolutely FANTASTIC! If you are unsure if you should book this hotel, read this review. My husband and I were originally staying at a different hotel in Florence but when the original hotel didn’t work out, we ended up getting a last-minute room at Glance Hotel. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Flavio who made sure we had a fantastic stay the entire trip, he literally saved our trip with his knowledge and help - thank you! Flavio showed us the room we were going to stay in and made sure our stay was comfortable. All of the staff were friendly and helpful throughout the entire stay. The hotel was very modern, clean and well maintained! We stayed in the Comfort Room which included breakfast. The room was very quiet which was nice to have, especially for a hotel located in the city center of Florence! The hotel is walking distance to most sites in Florence since the city is very walkable. We stayed in the Comfort Room, which is one of the smaller rooms, but it has plenty of room for two adults and luggage - honestly, good sized for a city in Europe! We typically are indifferent about breakfast at hotels, but Glance Hotel had the best breakfast we’ve ever had at a hotel. The morning breakfast staff were friendly with an excellent assortment of fresh pastries, eggs, breakfast meats, fruit, etc. Salvatore was helpful in making sure our espresso and breakfast were perfect every morning. Great service! The rooftop bar was absolutely beautiful; we were lucky enough to have a few great days to lay by the pool on the rooftop deck. A glass of wine with a gorgeous rooftop sunset over Tuscany is a lifetime memory! We will definitely recommend Glance Hotel to our friends and family and we’re looking forward to future visits!

This clean and modern hotel is perfectly situated just a 10 minutes walk from the train station, and within easy walking distance of most of Florence’s must - sees. |From our warm welcome at reception and spotless room (bed a bit on the firm side, which suited me but was less comfortable for my husband - but I appreciate getting the balance right on the firmness of a mattress must be one of the hotel industry’s biggest headaches. On the plus side, this hotel does provide two types of pillow; squashy or firmer) to the very nice breakfast and lovely rooftop pool area this hotel was an absolutely perfect base for our 6 day visit to Florence. |If we have any suggestions at all, it would be that the hotel is missing a trick with the bar area on the rooftop. Why would you not continue the theme of the very attractive, comfortable and inviting pool area with the same type of relaxing sofa furniture, plants etc in the bar space? - the current basic cafe-style set up seems like either an afterthought or maybe they just haven’t got round to styling the bar to match the pool space yet, but it does let down the rest of the outstanding rooftop with it’s panoramic views of the city and gorgeous sunset photo opportunities - I’m sure we’re not the only ones who would have lingered longer (and therefore bought more drinks) if the furniture and ‘atmosphere’ in the bar space had been more inviting.

This hotel was such a great experience. The location of the hotel is a short walk from shopping, restaurants, markets, and tourist sights. The hotel itself is very elegant and modern, the rooms were very clean with a comfortable bed and a nice bathroom. Sheets, towels, waters, etc were tended to daily. The breakfast and cafe were both very impressive. The rooftop pool is very relaxing with great drinks from the bar and incredible views of the city. Above all was the staff. They were all exceptional and truly made our visit above and beyond. Before our arrival they were extremely helpful with any questions we had and always responded promptly. Upon arrival and during our stay they were all so friendly and accommodating to anything we could need. Ricky the bartender upstairs was a highlight of our trip as well. We are so grateful for the staff and this hotel for such a memorable experience.

We absolutely love this hidden gem in the centre of Florence. It is spotlessly clean and modern and smells amazing. The cleanliness of the bathroom is incredible and the bathrooms have wonderful showers. The hotel is in a great location and the staff are really friendly, helpful and welcoming. We return time and again.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The rooftop pool is so relaxing with great views, it provides the perfect break from the busy tourist streets downstairs. The breakfast highlight was the pistachio croissant. The location is perfect, close to the station, the food market and the Cathedral. We were very happy with our stay here.

This was a lovely hotel. Unusually for Italy it had coffee making stuff in the room - wonderful! It was exactly what you'd expect from a 4star hotel. They recommended (and booked) a lovely restaurant round the corner called La Gratella. It was so friendly with good food we went there every night we were in Florence! The hotel staff were all excellent. I'd certainly stay here again if we go back to Florence
